Make no mistake about this place. The beta are pure for themselves, and here why: they will over medicate your pets just to charge you extra... For the spade of my little one they laid that they have the latest laparoscopic equipment, and the day of the procedure somehow they did not have any one to perform the surgery...
And then vaccinate twice one of my puppy's king her so seek... I kept taking her back so they can pump more me decline that was not even needed.
If you care and love your pets not only avoid this place, but tell everyone you know to avoid this place. I took all of my records for the three pets and will look for new place.
Don't be fooled by the facade of the building, is a scam...

A great vet I just left their office and I have to say hands down, they are the best! I have lived in Las Vegas for 12 years and have been to many other vets in town, but none have taken the time to actually care for my dogs. I saw Dr. Daniels today and she spent time discussing my dog's conditions (I have 3 pugs) and gave me advice for future needs with them.

World Class Animal Hospital. I have been taking my pets there for years and really love the staff. They are very helpful and friendly and really care for both the pets they treat and their owners. We also board our dogs there a few times a year and consider it their 'summer camp'. Thank you Dr. Mychajlonka!

Dr. Mychajlonka is hands down is the BEST vet on town. We moved our 3 cats from another vet to his clinic. Our cats have allergies and skin conditions. Dr. Mychajlonka diagnosed and treated them immediately. Other vets were clueless as to handle the allergies. He has our business. Thank you so much Dr. Mychajlonka - you are the best!!!

I have been taking my pets to Craig Road Animal Hospital for the past 6 years, I could not imagine going elsewhere. Each person I have delt with has been GREAT! From start to finish everyone was so nice and helpful. I have gotten a few different doctors each time I have gone in for a visit, but I have no problem with that. They see me as a walk-in, I can just show up without an appointment! Each doctor has been wonderful and informative. They ARE there for the pets! Reading some of these other people's reviews on this hospital, it sounds like others want their pet to be treated without having to pay for services. Yes, it is tough for everyone during this time with this economy. I will just say, my pets ARE my children, but if I could not afford them, I would not have them. Again, I want to say how GREAT CRAIG ROAD ANIMAL HOSPITAL doctors and staff are and I want to thank them for being so wonderful to MY KIDS!

I love CRAH. We had an experience with our Shar Pei mix with some ear problems last year. I took him to Ann Road Animail hospital and the service there was not to my liking. Our Shar Pei was suffering so bad with ear aches and never gotten better. After spending over $500 at that Clinic, I decided to take him to CRAH. The care there was so excellent and I was told by the Vet that we only had to use one medication instead of 4 different medications that the other clinic recommended. Our dog has not had an ear infection since taking him to CRAH. I recommend CRAH highly and the service there is professional.Thank You!

I've always been very happy with the care we have received from CRAH. Yes it gets expensive....kids and animals tend to be that way. My Bichon-Maltese lived five years longer due to the care they gave him. Becky is the greatest groomer I've found. Never a nick or scratch on my dog when I bring him home. We boarded our Schnauzer mix once and when we brought him home he was the same happy dude he was when we got him home.

Based upon what I have already read about the doctors and staff at CRAH, I would rate them 3 1/2 stars. I would recommend three of the vets there and they are Drs. Whitcraft, Chambers and Stone. I most often use the services in the evenings and therefore have no experience with the other vets on staff. One thing I have found throughout the years I have had my pets at CRAH is they are expensive, but if you review the estimate received and speak with the vet, then they are willing to cut some services to "get by" in an emergency and make arrangements to do them later. I happen to be in medicine myself and have some knowledge of what can wait and what cannot. This has saved money in the past. The clinic does have CareCredit available and I would suggest applying "online" instead of over the phone, it seems the chances of getting at least $500 to work with is much easier especially when the credit rating is not so good. This has been my experience.
I have 4 miniature pinschers and all have received pretty good care at CRAH in the past. I have checked out others and none compare to CRAH in terms of service, hours available, the pet portal, etc. Just like people, our pets get sick at the oddest times and it's good to know there is a vet on duty 24/7.

For those of you checking Crag Road out on this website, you should probably note that all of the negative reviews come from folks that want their pets cared for free of charge. Craig Road is a business like any other business.........they must be paid for their services if they expect to survive. If you compare their prices to other facilities, especially local emergency clinics, you will see that in fact their prices are very competitive (there is a difference between competitive and cheap).
Craig Road is a top notch facility that offers some of the best care available in the veterinary world. Veterinary medicine is just like anything else......you get what you pay for. If you want a doctor to investigate your pets illness and provide with the best treatment options available then Craig Road is the place to go. My pup was diagnosed with a slipped disc in her back that was causing her to be paralyzed in the rear legs. The doctors at Craig Road immediately provided her with pain management while they investigated the problem. Once the diagnosis was reached they referred me to the best surgeon in the area that could perform the surgery. I received daily phone calls once my pup left their facility to check on her. Today, she is happy, healthy, and no worse for the wear.

There are a million other clinics in Vegas, so if you want a vet that just throws some medications at your pet, but keeps your bill low, then go to another facility. We have the choice of how we choose to treat our pets, and I choose a top notch facility like Craig Road.

I am in the law field, and the other thing to consider is the mounting legal hurdles for veterinarians. Veterinarian HAVE to educate you, make recommendations, and provide you will ALL of the options. They are not being "money grubbers' they are protecting you, your pet, and themselves. You wouldn't go into a grocery store or a car dealership and rant and rave because you were asked to actually "pay your bill", so why does a veterinarian deserve that disrespectful treatement? Yes, veterinarians are supposed to care for animals, but it is also not their responsibility to pay for the care of every dirt bag in Las Vegas's pet. If veterinarians gave every person that cried poor a free ride, they to would be out of a job. Show some respect for their hard work and education. They go to school for the same initial 8 years as a human doctor, but make FAR less money. (I know this because my step-daughter is a veterinarian in MS). Veterinarians dont become veterinarians for the money, because the money isn't that great!

I sincerely wish that I could find a human doctor that would treat me with the same compassion, dedication, and care that my pets received at Craig Road Animal Hospital. They have a client for life in me (as well as many referrals).

Thank you Craig Road!

Michelle and Mazie :-)

Adding to a piece I wrote in November of 2010. Today is March 9th 2011. Needless to say My dog Daisy is healthy and making us happy and driving us crazy to with all her energy. I said I would write in 2 weeks sorry. Well all I can say is that she is doing well. My only after thought about everything is, how many clients paid for services that didn't need to be done. Some people think that because you don't have the money to pay is the reason we write a bad review. I'm sure it is for some not all. If I have the money or not I don't wish to pay for something that doesn't need to be done. I'm just very thankful that Daisy made it through. And through that horrible it thought me that I need to no more in general of my type of dog, her needs as she gets older. So I do take away a great lesson from this experience. See you can always find some good from bad.

WHERE DO I START? November 12, 2010 I took my dog in named daisy, she is a Minature Pinscher. She was ill for two going on three days. She was vomitting enough that she was very weak. I was so scared the night before because she seemed to get worse. I will get to the point. We took daisy in and they diagnosed her with parvo :0(. Dr. Hagstette explained what this diagnosis could do to her. She then proceeded to tell us that she would need a 3 day hopital visit with i.v. (at the cost of $1,668.70). Don't get me wrong my dog is worth paying millions if I had it. Times are so tough. We explained that we didn't have that kind of money, was there any other alternative or another therapy that we could do. She then left the room and sent a nurse or someone back with another estimate of 306.05. That still seemed like a million dollars to us. I did ask if there was any way we could make payments and was told we could try their credit line. I do agree that they are a business and they do need to pay the employees and the cost of a business. Dr. Hagstette said her hads were tied. We were left to take our dog home to die. I brought her home and gave her pedialyte ever hour on the hour and found a medicine for $45.95 that you give dogs for parvo. After just one dose she was on her feet and wagging her tail like crazy. She is only on her 3rd dose and she is eating, and drinking water on her own. Just as I'm typing this she just flew across the room running at a high speed and all I can do is smile ear to ear. She is well on her way to being fully recovered. I have no doubt that she will make a full recovery. I will post againg in about 2 weeks to give update on daisy to let everyone informed of her health status. What a shame! they let us walk out to let our dog die. Now looking back It makes me feel that they were only after making a quick buck and my dog is better on a bottle for $50.00. I trusted them. Just think that I was going to put her down so she wouldn't suffer. Daisy is licking me now and waging her tail as I'm finishing this post. I can only imagine how many people put their dog down based on the information of a vet that potentially doesn't truely have an animals best interest at heart. Isn't that why they are a vet. A spokes person for animals. I hope they take a long look at their selves. I'm so blessed that my Daisy is here with me today.

I find this last review very distasteful and misleading. I have three dogs under the care of CRAH, and have NEVER had an animal turned away. Of all of the doctors, my family and I find Dr. Roach to be one of the best, and prefer his trusting and comforting approach to the care of my precious dogs. As a matter of fact, Dr. Roach has saved my most curious dogs life, after ingesting a sock. I DO NOT believe that he would turn any animal away to "go home and die".

I took my two pugs and cat to this vet for the last 7 years on the cat and 3 years on the dogs. I have found them to be knowledgeable, caring and reasonably priced. We frequently kenneled our pugs there and the techs are so nice to them and they came back fine every time. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a vet. The doctors were good and the staff nice.

When I first started taking my animals to CRAH they were great and their charges were reasonable. But then they changed. There is a new black Vet there and ever since he started working their I noticed that they are money hungry. They originally tell you one price, leave you sitting in a back room with your dog or cat for over an hour and they will keep coming back into the room to update you each time asking for more money. I stopped going to these greedy ass bastards. They have lost a client for life!

What Ever you do, do NOT take your animals here. I took my dog there for 8 years and right before my dog turned 9 she started licking her paws raw. We took her to CRAH and they gave her an allergey shot. They warned us that If they gave it to here too often then she would get diabetes. It worked the first few weeks and then she started to lick again. We took her back to the vet and the doctor told us she needed another shot. They had told us before that the time between the shots needed to be 3 months. We asked him and he said that she would be fine. So they gave her the shot and with in 2 weeks she was throwing up and wouldn't eat. We took her back to the vet and they said she was so sick that she most likely going to die with in the next 24 hours. She was suffering so much and they said that they couldn't do anything for her so we decieded to have her put to sleep. She had gotten diabetes from those shots and essentailly they killed her with there poor judgement. WHAT EVER YOU DO, DO NOT GO TO CRAIG ROAD ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!!

After being given a referal to CRAH, though very happy with the attention and service, it was about 5 miles away. We kenneled our two doggies at a new and much closer hosp. Asking for three days stay, shampoo, and nail clipping. Our pets came out smelling like urine and one had an unexplained cut on his nose. We will never buy products, kennel, or see other doctors any where else. CRAH thank you.

MONEY DRIVEN! will not cut you a break for anything. I'm new to having cats and they would not teach me how to trim their nails with out charging me for a trimming first. when i would be the one doing the trimming! my cat also swallowed a pill that had fallen to the ground and when i called to see if was an emergency and if i should leave work they gave me no insight didnt even ask what kind of medicine it was. my work wouldnt let me leave without confirmation of emergency... and thank god they didn't. they probably would have charged me up the ying running test when the pill was harmless. the only danger in it was the lactose and my cat's as healthy as the day before he went munching on capsules.

We are very happy with the service provided by the staff at Craig Road Animal Hospital. We have been customers since 1996 and all of our pets (cats and dogs) have been there for both routine and life saving care.

All of our pets have lived long happy extended lives that we believe are directly attributable to the care and attention provided by Dr. Mychajlonka. Our eight-year old German Shepherd-Besenji contracted a serious infection that threatened her life. Her health deteriorated rapidly, she lost over twenty pounds in two weeks. We knew that she was lost but Dr. Mychajlonka fought the infection and wrestled her back to the peak of health. His assistant, Dee took a personal interest in our girl and spent an untold amount of time caring for her as well. Dr. Mychajlonka??s tenacity and determination to save our girl shows a true compassion and dedication to his field. We now have a happy energetic dog again.

We are and continue to be very happy with the care provided by CRAH and its?? staff. We consider them part of our extended family.

I have been going to CRAH for the past 6 1/2 years. I have never had a bad experience there, and they have ALWAYS gone above and beyond what i would expect from an animal hospital. The love and care that they have given my dog exceeds anything i can describe. I have had several major issues with my dog, and Dr. Mike ALWAYS keeps me informed on my dogs status. He has even made long distnance phone calls to me to check on my dog. The clinic always calls me at least once and sometimes twice a day to tell me how he is doing when he has had to stay overnights. Dr. Mike is incredibly knowledgeable, printing out articles for me whenever i have a question about something, and he does not believe in cutting corners~!!!! He has called Drs. in other states to get the most up to date information on what ever medical situation he is dealing with at the time. He calls me even if it is just to tell me that he doesnt have any new news yet. If he doesnt call me personally, he has his assistant call. The office manager is always friendly and helpful when i have to come in to get prescriptions filled. I couldnt think of a bad thing to say about CRAH if my life depended on it, and i will never take any of my pets anywhere else. Shari D.

I took my baby in on an emergency! They were WONDERFUL! It started as soon as I walked in! The staff up front was GREAT, and very empathetic. Within the first 20 minutes they knew what was going with my baby, and had his surgery scheduled within minutes! Dr Mychajlonka was GREAT!!! He took care of him during and after his surgery! All the doctors there were FABULOUS! I will recommend him and all the other doctors to anyone at anytime!!! I will always be greatful to Craig Road Animal Hospital, and Dr Mychajlonka!

I am owned by 2 very little chihuahuas, my 1 little guy has so many issues. Dr. O'Sullivan has been our lifesaver, she has gone above and beyond to help both of my chi's. Whenever I walk into the office the girls at the front desk make us feel so welcome and secure. When I have had to board them due to an emergency my little furballs are kept in the medical section of the hospital and looked over 24/7, they are both happy and healthy when I pick them up, I can't say enough great things about this hospital, but I trust Dr. O'Sullivan with the 2 most precious souls in my life.

My relationship started on a Sunday a few years ago when another northwest Vet told us the nearest emergency vet was Several miles from here. We called Craig Road just in case and I'm glad we did. Our Weimeriner had eaten a root from a sego palm and went into liver failure, Dr. Chambers saved his life, it was a process over several months. I then begin taking all our animals there and when my 14 year old Dalmatian was in pain I was an easy mark, I would have paid what ever to add a little time but Dr. Roach gave me the options from a humane standpoint. If they had a pediatrician on staff myson would go there too!

Thank goodness I took my dog Sandy to Dr. Hagstette. She took the time to help me understand why feeding too much food was causing Sandy to have trouble walking and breathing. It has been 6 months since we first saw Dr. Hagstette and Sandy has lost 8lbs and is no longer on 2 very expensive pills. I would recommend Dr. Hagstette to anyone who really loves their 4 legged family members.

I took one of my dogs there because she got injured in a dog park. They were very thorough with her. When I went back for my follow-up appointment, I sat in the waiting room for over an hour and NEVER got to see the vet, even though I had an appointment. The waiting room is extremely unorganized (and dirty a lot of the time) and you don't always get to see the vet in the order that you arrived, even if you sign in.

This was not my normal vet but it was the closest to me when my 11week old Chinese Imperial "Jazz" puppy was badly hurt. She had severe lung contusions and wasn't given much hope. They were wonderful and let me visit her daily in the back room so she would know she wasn't abandoned. They were truly concerned and compassionate. I can't thank them enough.

Dr. Mychajlonka is amazing. He saved my dogs life. As soon as my dog got there they started an IV, put him on O2, did X Rays, ultrasound, and had him in surgery within 15 minutes of arriving at CRAH. During surgery he was transfused with blood. He was diagnosed with internal bleeding from his liver. I am a nurse at the trauma center, and I know what a challenge a bleeding liver can be. Without the expertise of Dr Mychajlonka I have no doubt my dog would have died.

We just moved here and I am so impressed with the kind people who work here. We tried to rescue a stray cat after moving here. He had been almost starved to death. We were completely broke from the move and were trying to find help for the cat. The kind office staff here at Craig Road Animal Hospital did research for me so that I could find him very low cost help from a vet. Sadly, the cat had not eaten for so long that his liver had failed and there was no way to save him. I called Craig Road animal hospital back when I found out that we had to put him down and they truly grieved with me. They were so kind and so sensitive about the situation and it was greatly appreciated. After he was cremated they scattered his ashes over their rose garden which is what they do with all of their cremated pets. I will take any and all pets that I will ever have here because they are so wonderful.

I used to work here for 7 years and am now coming back to Las Vegas as a new graduate veterinarian. I started working at Craig Road since it was a new baby and have seen a tremendous amount of change and growth through the years, always in the positive direction. Dr. Mychajlonka is highly committed to making this practice the best experience for their patients and their owners. He is committed to making strides to be as progressive and up to date with veterinary medicine as possible, and that is truly important in maintaining high quality medicine for your pets.
This hospital cares about both constructive criticism and kudos and would be open to suggestions or comments in making this the best hospital experience for you and your pet!
I highly recommend Craig Road for the care of your pets. If you have any questions or would like to look into Craig Road further, please call 702-645-0331 or visit their website at www.craigrd.com

Well I have to agree that they are a very busy practice and yes the prices are high but where is it not when it comes to vets.

I gave them a five star for one reasons; My cat Nike had a very rare sickness called Chylothorax; so rare that they have no good cure for it. Dr. Hagstette was Nike's primary doctor and she is very good and caring. She put her whole hearted efforts in helping Nike make it through this. She set up all of the appointments and referred me to specialists that knew a lot about this sickness. Dr. Hagsteete called me all the time to see how Nike was doing when he was at home and always kept in contact with me on test results, x-rays and suggestions on how to help. Even though in the long run Nike passed away he had the best angel watching over him; Dr. Hagstette. She tried to bring him back for me and was just as upset with the end result as I was. Dr. Hagstette is the one reason I will always bring my pets back to her she because she DOES care for the animals.

One of the main reasons I would maybe drop this rate down to a four star is that the on-call emergency doctor was more interested in the "formalities of the paperwork then getting Nike to the back to remove the fluids that were building up in his chest making it hard for him to breathe. He did get it done and did call me as soon as he was completed to tell me he was stabilized but I feel he could have let me deal with the paperwork aspect of it when I got there after work as they have always done for me since Nike was diagnosed.

I do alo have to say that I have never been turned away because of a pending balance and I did have a couple but they understood how sick Nike was and always saw him.

PROS: Dr. Hagstette
CONS: There idea of "Formalities" in emergency situations

This is our vet and the dogs and the cat love him. They also have kennels that we have used several times when we go on vacation. The animals are extremely well cared for and the kennels are very very clean. We've had all the dogs neutered here and were able to bring them home that day. When we had a question or concern, we called and they were helpful even in the middle of the night, they called back. We will not go anywhere else for our pets.

One day I was driving around town around six o'clock at night and I had my dog in the car were no place to leave him for the night. I drove by and saw they were still open. They were more than happy to take him in last minute and give him one last shot he needed in order to board the night at hteir facilities. They are not only convinient but they are also extremely affordable. I was pretty satisfied with their services and would recommend them to anybody. The vet and staff were friendly and you could tell my dog would be safe for the night.

My sister's dog had puppies last week. During the process, Abby, the mother dog, kept having contractions, but no puppies seemed to be coming out. Therefore, after a while, my sister called Craig Rd. Animal Hospital. They had an on-call veternarian who was able to come and meet my sister and her dog Abby at the hospital. A couple of hours later, Abby was a mommy to nine healthy puppies. If the veternarian was not so prompt, the results might not have been the same!

After recently moving to Las Vegas it was very important that we find a vet for our three Ragdoll cats. They have been a part of our lives, and most importantly, our children's lives for over seven years. We believe that this Animal Hospital is a place that cares greatly about their patients. The business hours are great. However, each time we have veen there it is very noisy and seems disorganized. But once you get through all that the animal care is very professional.

When my dog had emergency surgery to remove her eye and the girls up front were very helpful. They took care of my Sweetie with a gentle touch, but when I saw the bill for $900, my jaw almost hit the floor. I was pleased with the service, but the cost was outragous, but what could I do, I had to get my Sweetie back.

I have been taking my animals to them for about 3 years. I love their hours. They open early and take walk-ins until 9pm. I am a 9-5er and it is difficult when it's urgent but not an emergency.

Dr. Mich did a surgery on my dog's leg and she was better than new. I have also boarded my dogs there for a week and was worried about them being freaked out, but they were both fine when I picked them up.

Though it can be a little hectic and unorganized at the front during busy times, if you get there early or late the wait is not too long.

I will difinitely continue to take them there.

PROS: Awesome Hours
CONS: Busy, busy, busy!

In the past I had two older dogs one I had to put down because of a huge tumor. The other one had seizures and the medical bill was huge but Craig rd animal hospital was willing to work with me I guess because I have been a customer for a long time. Dr mychjlonka was great with our feline taz he had a urinary blockage and saved his life.
Now I have to new Min Pins and purchased pet insurance for sullivan and precious and including taz. In the long run its already paid to have the insurance. After sullivan turned a year I found out he was a diabetic. Just alone the insulin is 30.00 a bottle and the needles less than that but having insurance helps it covers all. Dr mychjlonka is the best and so is his assistant Dee.....Just asked her Sullivan is always happy to greet her...........MELODY MOSES

This is the first time I have ever done this, but when I read the only other review, I just had to respond. When we originally moved here, we went to another vet's office, when he closed his doors, we went to Crg. Rd Animal Hospital, I did not know any of the doctors there, so I opted for anyone who was available to take care of our greyhound. We were so fortunate to have Dr. "R" (they won't let use his last name in my rating), come through that door. Our pet was about 11 years old then, I have never met a person so dedicated to making sure your pet is getting the best care - over the years when our dog started having arthritis, and heart problems, Dr. "R" took or returned every call I made, no matter what time I called. He would see us in the waiting room and instead of making him stand there & wait, he would personally come and take our buddy to the back and take care of him. When we needed to see a specialist regarding his heart, Dr. "R" actually took the time to go & meet with this doctor himself to go over his chart, to be sure that he gave the best care he could, (I am not talking about just down the street - he drove about 40 min's away to meet with this doctor). The final day of our best friends life, Dr. "R" actually came to our house because I couldn't pick him up and put him in the car alone. He and one the many wonderful tech's that work there got him in my car. When the time came to say good-bye Dr. "R" was there by our side. I swear that our dog had an angel watching over him for those years. Watching Dr. "R" with my pets (yes he takes care of our cat also), the care and concern and passion he has for animals is incredible. He will go out of his way, to find the right treatment that is nec. to help heal your pet. Anyone who has contact with him in regards to the care of your pet is truley blessed. Thank you Dr. "R" for the person you are - I wish there were more doctors like you caring for the animals in this world.

We took our cat in as an emergency (he had thrown up a lot that day after eating a plant and was lethargic). the doctor (and I use the term lightly)took him in the back to examine him. When he came back he didn't have our cat but said he was dehyrdrated and showed us a long list of expensive tests he wanted to perform to see what was wrong with him - to the tune of $500. When we asked him if that included any treatments, he said no and that they may run an additional $300 to $3000 depending on what they found. We love our cat but just can't afford a bill like that, explained that to the doctor and asked him to hydrate him and we would take him home. The doctor became very discusted with us and said, "we might as well get used to the idea that we would have to have him put down because he was suffering a lot." He had one of the techs hydrate our cat, bring him out to us and we took him home. Within an hour our cat was almost back to 100%. We feel Dr. Roach's threat of "having to put him down" was one to make us feel guilty about our decision and get us to spend the money on the tests.

Pros: able to get an appointment right away

Cons: the doctor seemed only interested in selling a lot of medical tests
