This is very likely the creepiest store, and the creepiest people who run the store, that I have ever come across, and I don't mean that in a "good creepy" kind of way. It's "bad creepy." From the days when it was run by Lucky and then transferred to Robin Criswell and her weird-as-hell "consort," it has continued to be strange, weird and host of the most bizarre rumors and bad reputation of any occult store I have ever known, and having worked in the industry for many years, I have seen a few. Bell Book and Candle is a good one to just pass on by and find somewhere else to buy your candles. Some people think they have a good herb selection, but anything they do carry is so old it has no potency left. You might get more out of the dust, or just be smart to order your herbs from a fresh retailer online. I can't say enough - avoid this creepy weird cult store and buy your stuff elsewhere. Weird people weird store weird vibe.

This isn't a store for the very timid or for casual browsers. It's best to have an idea of exactly what you need or want before entering the store. That said, I would only go into the store for herbs, which do happen to be very overpriced, but they have a very decent selection and it feels like a good idea to "support a small business". Besides the herbs, the store sells items of poor quality and quantity. It's a place that tends to focus more on the dark side of Wicca and seems to place more effort in offering traditional Wiccan classes and attracting dark/traumatized people. The employees are fairly helpful, but not terribly open or friendly. I generally would have to "cleanse" anything that I purchased there when I got home.

Pros: Although pricey, largest selection of herbs and oils in town.

Cons: Tends to focus on dark side of Wicca.

When searching for occult shops when I moved here, this was the first shop I stopped at. I was not too impressed by the inventory carried such as books but the herb selection is great. I have only been to this store about 3 times but to be honest, quite a few people I have talked to about this shop get a "bad feeling" when they walk in. You can be the judge but I do recommend the herb selection....largest one in town.
