Promotions!

by fannie v.

"If you go to Rainbow with any expectations of winning one of their progressives...forget it! When one person wins consecutively, and her family wins consecutively in the past several months, one begins to think that maybe something is wrong. Don't get me wrong if I had an inkling about which machine may be "the one" each time, I would be there just for the big pay-off, as well. And, with a limited number of machines, staff are sure to be on them when its time for the big jackpot, usually close to $10k.

But, I'm not angry...just disappointed because I believed in the staff and in the process until learning how many jackpots one person won and the time span in which she won them. I'm not angry, just disappointed to learn that one of the off duty staff won a jackpot twice!

The concept of the two progressive games is a random pay-off...meaning if you're playing 20 cent or two dollars on a machine, should the slot machine you're on be randomly selected, you win the big prize.

With other prize promotions, you obtain and return your completed ticket to the cashier and when its time to announce the winners, they are announced from the cashier's cage.

Do not get me wrong...other than their inadequate, inappropriate manner of conducting their promotions, other things seem to be in order including a friendly staff, comps and pretty good food.

If you're looking for another place to go that has a "Cheers" like atmosphere, Emerald Island is across the street and their promotions appear to be open!"

this is a great place

by RON C.

This is a great place to gamble, also great food John Awalt is doing great things with the place its just like old Vegas. I won a lot of money here very loose slots people just like to take advantage. I have been going there for 20+ years and get comps all the time. Also the security is very tight i feel very safe there because you know that there watching you. If your spending $1000s in this place they will give you anything so don't say that you spend thousands here and don't get comped because your a liar you could spend fifty dollars and get a meal comp come on you idiot. Come see this place you'll love it>

Talking about CHEAP!

by Joseph K.

The rainbow casino is the cheapest casino that I have ever visited. Their food comps are like gold to them. I have spent a lot of money in there and I still have to beg for a manger's comp. After playing there for 12 hours straight and spent over $1000 they refused a $3.95 comp. You might say I am the one who is cheap but I am used to going to any casino and get comped after a long night of gambling. Even the Indian Casino's comp you good, rooms and elegant dinning. After 30 years as a customer I have to say farewell I like the atmosphere and the staff except for the grave yard manger RUSSELL who is rude and thinks he is king Tut. He is very good on upsetting you. If you want to down size your business hire him he would be excellent.

Poor air and no rewards system for players

by Daniel M. | insider Insider | Rank: 20,058

The Rainbow club used to have good gaming, but have recently removed many favorite old gambling machines in favor of poorer payout devices, therefore, losing lots of business.
The restaurant is good, cheap and has friendly staff. The overall staff is friendly and makes a homey atmosphere.
The air in the casino is packed with dangerous tobacco fumes. If you are there only five minutes, your clothes stink very badly and have to be washed.

PROS: Good cozy restaurant with good food an friendly people
CONS: Hard to get your breath and no benefits for players or incentive to play.

Good machines but no alternative cigarettes

by Cheryl T. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,116

The machines here are pretty new and popular. They pay fairly decent. It is a nice little locals casino. They have a small cafe inside if you get hungry. My only issue is that I smoke clove cigarettes and they do not allow alternative cigarettes which means either I can't smoke while I play (which I choose not to do) or I can't play in there.
