Dr. Spelman has been my dentist for several years and my experience has been very good. He does good work and always asks how I am doing (like do I need more novacaine!) The office is beautiful and clean. I'm happy there.

Pros: Everything

Dr. Spelman is very gentle. After every appointment I have with him he calls me at home that night to make sure everything is allright. His office is clean, clean, clean.

Pros: Clean office, TV's over chair, phones after visit

.

Gossip, Gossip, Gossip. Everything can be heard that comes from the front desk. Who wants to sit and listen to a bunch of women cackle like hens?
I went in to have a few fillings done. Well, those few fillings cost me hours of my time. I had to go back three times to have my fillings "adjusted". Three times i had to listen to these cackling hens and three times I had to play a waiting game. Gorgeous office and very clean but, seems they can't get it right the first time. I rather not waste anymore of my time. Taking my business elsewhere.

Pros: Gorgeous office, clean

Cons: The Dr. answered his phone twice while working on me. RUDE!

Dr. Stephen Spelman is an outstanding dentist. I called the office with a problem tooth. The receptionist told me to come right in that afternoon at 3 p.m. After examing me Dr. Spelman found that I had a broken crown. He recommended that I come two days later to have a new one done. I explained that my daughter was due to deliver a baby at any time and I was hesitant to wait two days. He then offered to come in at 7 a.m. the next day (two hours before the office opens to take care of me.) Dr. Spelman has equipment that allows him to prepare the tooth ,make the crown, and put it in place all during the same appointment. No more waiting a week for lab work and wearing a temporary crown. My new crown was fitted perfectly and after the first numbing injection there was no pain. The nurse who assisted was very proficient and helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Spelman as a skilled, compassionate dentist who has spared no expense in procuring the latest "state of the art" dental equipment to make a visit to the dentist as pleasant as possible. Rating:10

I found a new dentist here since I came to Vegas. The dentist told me that I needed "a couple of fillings done". I went ahead and paid my out of pocket which was about $240.00. Immediately after the work was done I got a tremendous headache. The dental assistant was gossiping with another employee while I am laying there waiting for her to take everything out of my mouth so I could go, I sat up so she would see that I needed her. A couple days later I went in because I could not bear the pain any longer. I went in and the dr. filed down some teeth. I went in a total of 4 times after my initial visit. He ran some painfull tests. The dr. told me that they would give me a call to see how i was doing...they didn't . He never seemed to figure out what was wrong, which made me worry. after my own reserch on the web I discovered that I had TMJ. Basically it was my mandibular joint. Later I found out that the "couple" of fillings were actually 5. He had screwed up my jaw! This was mid April and it's now the end of July. I recently received a bill for some costs that my insurance did not cover which was only $122.00. I was so angry though because I am still in pain. I have been on Motrin and Aleve every single day since. I found a dentist that specializes in TMJ and I have since gotten better. Imagine not being able to eat salads, fruits, nuts, chips. Also, it hurt to have the AC on in 100+ temperatures. I called the office and requested that they waive the fee for me because I thought it was B.S. The office girl called me back and said that the dr. thinks that I should go back again and that he would not waive the fee because the services were rendered. I made it so easy for them, I did not want to call a lawyer and the least he could do is pay for my medication! I was one that actually enjoyed going to the dentist and now I am terrified. From now on I will only visit my dentist in California.
