On Presidents day we purchased a full sized mattress Best Mattress.company located at 8570 W. Charleston Blvd Las Vegas, NV
We could have purchased one from ANY corporate retailer but wanted to do business with a locally owned company and at a location which was right in our own neighborhood. We try to help the local economy any time we can.
We looked at several brands but the store manager talked us into a Serta upgrade stating it would last longer and was a better quality mattress than another mattress we were looking at.
We paid $350.00 plus 40.00 for delivery fees. It was delivered a few days later.
Then we started to renovate the room??s flooring we removed the bed and found the box string had snapped in the middle on the back side.
On Wed. April 4th I called the location where we had purchased the mattress.
I told him, it had only be 45 days since we purchased a name brand Serta matesss from their location.
The attitude was VERY nonchalant. He said the mattress inspectors would be out in ??a couple of days? Once they inspected it, it would be determined how much prorated we would have to pay for a replacement and we would have to pay $40.00 to have the old one removed and a new one delivered! He also insisted we go to the location in person and sign a waiver that the mattress was clean before ANYTHING would be done including beginning the inspection process.
So this was a very inconvenient process he was describing. NEVER did he apologize for the inconvenience or for the product not performing up to par.
When you purchase a major name brand mattress with a 10YEAR warranty the ASSUMPTION is you are purchasing a quality product and the retailer stands by the merchandise they sell.
I did not receive a call from the inspector to arrange a appointment for the inspection until 3 business days later The third party vendor who conducts the inspection said it would be 5 business days until they could make out to our area. On Friday April 13th they came and inspected the mattress and the inspector said it was an obvious defect as a knot in the wood is where it had snapped.
He verified the mattress was clean and in good shape and that he would send the photos he took and his report to Best Mattress that very day and that we should be hearing from Best Mattress later in the day.
We did not hear from them.
Two more business days went by, so WE had to call the location to find out when we could expect to get a new mattress. He said we needed to call the warehouse but because it was after 10 a.m. and they only check messages once a day?we would most likely not get a call back for a day OR TWO!!! All this time with no mattress! No one doing a single thing to expedite things of to deliver a ounce of customer service.
So I attempted to contact the corporate offices of Best Mattress and noticed the website www.bestmatt.com does not disclose a contact number or address for their offices, just a map of Cedar City Utah..
So I called another local location and asked for the corporate headquarters phone number. He told me they are NOT allowed to disclose the phone number or address for the corporate offices EVER! That he would be fired for doing so!!!
Now if that??s not shady I don??t know what is. What legitimate business hides contact info unless there is something to hide?
He said he would call them and get back with me. When he called back he said I just need to wait for the letter to come in the mail.
Two business days later, on Thursday April 19th I received the letter. Which by the way, is the same day I made my last payment on the lousy broken mattress. So all this hassle and it wasn??t even paid for yet!
Included in the letter were the photos the inspector took. They had circled a photo on the corner of the box spring which appeared to be a shadow in the photo but they wrote in black ink The mattress is soiled all around! And He also sent several sheets from Serta regarding the warranty and he highlighted warranty voided if soiled. Yet the inspector??s report he included stated no stains!
The tone was very much like they were doing us a huge favor in replacing the box springs at all at no charge but then sent an invoice for 40.00 delivery charges plus sales tax which I don??t think is legal at all. Sales tax is not charged for a delivery service just merchandise so I wonder if our state Attorney General may want to know how many customers have paid tax when they should not have to this horrible company?
As instructed, I drove to the location and gave them a check for the delivery despite not being at all happy about having to pay delivery for a defective mattress they sold me in the first place. My feeling is they should eat the cost of delivery when a defect warranty issue arises

This is a company full of thieves. I purchased a mattress that was the worst mattress to sleep on, nothing close to the floor model asked to use their comfort exchange policy ended up giving them 200.00 more for a different mattress, when they came to deliver the new mattress and pick up the one we had for only 7 days they asked where some tag was, stated there never was a tag there driver looked and stated we were right there never was a tag he called his boss ans was told not to deliver the new mattress now they have the new mattress and our additional 200.00 and we still have a bad mattress that they sold without the tags for the warrenty. Will be suing them in small claims court and have filed fraud charges on them with the bank!!!!!!!!!DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!6870 Rainbow Blvd Ste 109-11189118I placed a $900 mattress (sale item) on layaway with a deposit of $442.80, My salary was cut by 20% to avoid layoffs due to the economy. I cancelled my layaway because of the salary cut, and Best Mattress refused to return my deposit, instead the General Office issued me a voucher for store credit that must be used in 6 months or I lose the money. This is theft and poor ethical business practices. I was ready to pay a cancellation fee, however they cannot keep your money without providing a product or a service. I have to take them to small claims court (in process) and I have filed a complaint with BBB. The Attorney GEnerals Office is no longer assisting consumer disputes due to cutbacks..... DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!!!

Best mattress does not honor their warranty on your mattress, they say they will but dont - it took them a month to come by to see the mattress they sold me, but first you must mail or fax your complaint. I called them on the warranty on a 1400$ bed set, and the mattress had such a bad indentation where my husband and I slept, they would not warranty it because it was a 1/4 inch off the dip length. They make you sign a paper when they come for the warranty that you do not discuss the results with the person who comes out to measure your mattress sag, even when you see the indentation is 2'' deep! DON'T BUY HERE - there a scam!

I just moved here and this was my first stop. The ssalesperson was friendly and knowledgelable about the mattresses they carry in stock. The delivery was on time, and I was pleased with my purchase. They offer a 30 day exchange, if the mattress is not to your liking. I returned to buy another mattress 2 months later. I found the same great customer service and product to be to my satifaction.
