I can't speak for the rest of the facility but we have a 7 month old in the sunbeams room and Ms. Dawn and Brandy are great. They always do exactly as we ask. That and Ms. Dawn loves all of the children as if they were her own.

I am writing to let you know about a wonderful child care organization. My children have been attending Bright Child Learning Center for 6 months and they have greatly benefited from the experience.
The administrative staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They are quick to respond to any concerns.
Ms. Kenya and Ms. Erica are two of the teachers that have greatly impressed us. My children are very attached and have learned much from them.

Blue Diamond - Sweet Pea Really Bad!!!!
I took my 4 year old out of there because he hated to go here too! I saw kids fist fighting in the Butterfly room when I would drop off my son in the mornings! I had to tell the Director what was going on before she would bring them up to the front to sit with her. HE DID NOT LEARN ANYTHING while he was there. They didn't even teach him his ABC's. They DID NOT GIVE HIM A DRINKS WITH HIS LUNCH ON SOME DAYS! THEY JUST LET THE KIDS FIST FIGHT ALL DAY LONG! NO ART ACTIVITIES EITHER - NOT TEACHIN MY SON ANYTHING GOOD JUST A BAD BABY SITING PLACE that's all they are! etc.....

PARENTS WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE?? At one point are we going to stop subjecting our children to this kiddy concentration camp, they call sweet pea? Why are they still in business? Because the owner knows exactly what to do to meet the minimum requirements for child care licensing!!! Do they care about our kids? No!! Is the owner building these places just to store kids and get a quick buck? H** yes!! It's time parent's make a stand, go on strike SOMETHING! Dont disregard these reviews! Theres a reason why the reviews are here, pay attention listen to them. DO NOT take your children to this hellhole!

Sweet Pea Learining Center is HORRIBLE...
I enrolled my 2 1/2 child at this location and thought she will learn how to be with kids and learn something. All they did the whole day is sit down in the classroom and go outside and play. My child always cries everytime she sees the center. She hates going to school and said that she does not like playing with kids there. Everytime I pick her up she has dirty hands, she smells like poop and clothes all dirty. They do not take care of the kids at this center. Director is rude and don't care about the facility. They won't refund your money so I just paid for the last week and not take may kids there. I rather pay them $155 and not take my kids to a horrible daycare. WHY THEY SAID IT'S A LEARNING CENTER WHEN THEY DON'T TEACH THE KIDS ANYTHING. Please do not take your kids here.
They don't give any attention to their students and they just let them hit each other. My kid is always hungry when I come and pick her up. After 3pm. They put all the kids in one room and have them watch TV the whole time until you pick them up. They have 11 in. TV.
This center needs some help, the owner needs to evaluate their centers and hire better teachers. I guess high school graduate is enough for them. I'm was hurting my kid everytime I drop her at this center.

I recently enrolled my 2 1/2 year old son into the Sweet Pea Learning Center a week ago. Ever since he's been there (less than 2 weeks) he starts crying the minute he sees the building and says "Mommy No, No Like", which is not like my son at all. He's come home with scratches on his face and bruises all over his body and no one can tell me how he got them. Not to mention he always has dirt and dried food on his face. And he is always crying when I go to pick him up. I STRONGLY URGE PARENTS TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

I withdrew my child today..never enough teachers..today 33 children
1 teacher, this happens on a regular basis..director said ratio was per center..not true.. checked with clark county child care..I would not recommed this center..if you are a good director..you help in a classroom that is overloaded..not give continual excuses..

I read the reviews online before, and we thought the complaints came from parents that were overbearing or just have never experienced Day Cares before. Unlike ourselves, whose 4 year old has been in several with no problems or issues...surely this place could not be that bad. WRONG our child did not learn a single thing from this place other than unclean habits. Teaching was lacking, care was lacking even more so.He kept a snotty nose which went unwiped ...until we picked him up. Food still dried to our kid's face, our kid ate lunch at 11, we picked our kid up after 5 HELLO at least wipe it before we got there!!!!But there will be some of you that will read this and say how bad can it be this would never happen to our kid why wouldn't we just complain to the center and get it corrected.WE DID IT DID NOT DO A SINGLE BIT OF GOOD

Sweet Pea is the worst day care facility that you can ever bring your baby. The facility was FILTHY! MY BABY'S CLOTHES WERE BLACK WHEN I PICKED HER UP! They also refused to warm up her milk. I spoke with the health department and daycare facilities are allowed to have a bottle warmer. My daughter wasn't eating as much because they were giving her cold milk. Front staff and corporate office were VERY RUDE! They wouldn't comply with my request! Infant room was not equipped for infants. They combined the room with toddlers that played outside- tracking all the dirt in the room where the infants would crawl.

The Centennial Center is wonderful. I loved the teachers. My daughter loved it there. Unfortunately we moved away. I enrolled her in a different sweet pea but I am taking her out immediately on day one. NOTHING compares to the Centennial Sweet Pea. Organized and loving is the best way to describe the center. The teachers don't play favorites and the don't scream at the kids. The kids DO come first there!!!!

My son went to the Rainbow and Hacienda location for about 2 months and then I took him out as quick as i put him in.He never cried at his other daycare,(which if i didn't have to take him out i would have never taken him out) He never wanted me to leave him there never had that problem before he would beg and plead me not to leave, and the lady just sat there and was literally scowling at me cause he was screaming and crying for me not to leave. That place is so unorganized and the staff seems like they are just there to pick up a check and they are very rude. I would pay for my sons lunch for the week and they swore up and down that I never paid, then when i showed them proof that I did I got every excuse in the book on how they must have missed it. So i asked did he eat and they said sure sure he did, which was a lie cause if he did he wouldn't want to pig out when he got home. Same thing happened when i finally gave up on buying lunch and started making his lunch same thing he would be starving when he got home.So i wonder if they ate his lunch or gave it to someone else. they cant seem to get any of the paperwork right, tell me i would owe one amount ant then when i go and pay what they said they would charge me more. The staff is very rude, and the teacher my son had made me feel like a bad parent cause my 2 year old was in pull ups and not fully potty trained and was forcing him to use the potty. And the way they treat the kids there is wrong. Especially when they humiliate a kid cause they had an accident then yell at the parent cause it happened. That day care or should i say prison should be shut down and never be allowed to open ever again. Its just plain ridiculous how they treat the kids and the parents at that sorry excuse for a day care.

Sweet Pea is not as bad as any of these people are making it out to be. If they were really that careless and bad I think they would have been shut down a long time ago. My child has been with sweet pea for 8 years and I never had problems with then. We have been to 3 different centers and I love them. The centers are big, the staff is great, the owners are wonderful, and my child has learned a lot from being there. They helped him learn the essentials for kindergarten, he went on wonderful field trips, and he made a lot of friends. I am very happy and pleased with sweet pea. Thank You.

Where do I start....except to say that I would not suggest that any parent enroll their child or children at the Rainbow/Hacienda location! My experience with this facility has been endless...1 - My child has has had over 5 different aids in the last 6 months. These aids have all been very stressed in their jobs, complaining about the lack of organization to parents as well as being overwhelmed by the childern to aid ratio (which doesn't meet the city regulations). 2 - I send my child to daycare with more than enough food to last for the day if fed properly. One day I popped up and found an aid feeding my child not what I sent that day but cold spahgetti mixed with green beans and carrots from the day before. Also I've found her lunch several times in the trash unopened and uneatten so my question is, "What did she eat on those days?". 3 - On another ocassion, I came in and discovered that my child had a snotty nose running into her mouth (that day I also wittnessed other children in this condition), one sock on and both shoes off, when I asked the aid where her sock and shoes were her response was..."I DON'T KNOW" as she walked away. Needless to say I found her shoes myself and not the SOCK! 4 - As a concerned parent I've found trying to resolve several issues with the Director to be pointless. She is unprofessional, unknowledgable and unqaulifed to run ANY establisment. I would highly recommend that if you really want "Your kids to Come 1st"...do your research!!

I see the teachers struggling. 25 kids in the room with ONE teacher. I always ask the director when they are going to hire more teachers and the reply I always get is "I don't no." How do you not know? I watch on the cameras every day. No learning ever goes on. How are you supposed to teach with 25 kids in a room with no help. This isn't a real school and these care givers are not professional teachers. Who ever runs this place is sick and is only in it for the money, not for the safety of the children or care givers.

My children attended sweet pea for a full school year. Their "teachers" did absolutely nothing with the kids in regards to activities. Their idea of supervision was driving them in a van (that had garbage piled on the floorboards) to a park and letting the kids run wild with no supervision at all. My youngest son came home with scratches and bruises on a regular basis and hated the place. I wish there was a regulatory agency that can directly deal with these clowns. I truly believe the best thing for the children of Las Vegas is for Sweet Pea to go out of business.

My little girl had a tendency to wake up from her nap and leave the room. This was a problem, so the people at the Rainbow/Hacienda location would call me demanding that I leave work now and pick her up; which is a retarded demand. They even threatened to call CPS for "neglect" if I didn't, to which I responded, "why? Are you neglecting my kids?"
Well, the first time worked, but then I called CPS, and come to find out, their job isn't to make up for the ineptitude of people who have no business working in daycare. I told my ex-wife to not let these people push her around, because I have had a few semi-loud conversations with these clowns, because a 4 year old girl was holding this entire daycare hostage.
I'm curious, where was the teacher when my girl removed her shoe laces, took her shoes and socks off, and then left the room to go running down the hall barefoot? When she ups and leaves, where is the teacher to block the door and not let her get out?
Well, they couldn't answer those questions, or any other questions for that matter, all they would do is demand that she be picked up immediately, or else. Then, when they played their precious CPS card, I called their bluff and told them they were full of it. When I arrived three hours later, suprise surprise, the CPS monster didn't take my kids away, but we were told not to come back.
Gee, let's see. So, I uncover the fact that you don't watch the children in your care, instead, you put them on autopilot, and then put them down for their nap,and then leave the room while monitoring them with a camera that they watch from the front desk. And when your little threats don't pan out and I call your bluff, because my girl is making you get off your ass and work for the money that I pay you (which is over priced BTW), then you just kick her out entirely. Funny thing, the only complaints that my daughter has had against her has always been during nap time.
You want to know the saddest part of all this? There are a lot of little boys and girls who are being disciplined by their parents when these jokers are the ones who should be yelled at and hit for willfull neglect. If you are seriously happy with your kids there, then you seriously hate your children or you're a liar.

Terrible experiance- this place was under staffed and over crowed with children-no consitancy with daycare workers. Employees were always late and up to 20 children of all ages croweded into 1 room until needed workers arrived and with webcam, I personally saw unsettling situations which I reported on several occasions- "some" workers did not watch children properly, as tippy cups were passed around amoung children, as were bottles! Cups were not cleaned properly and on one occasion, rotten milk was found in my child's tippy cup. The first weeks of care my child actually adjusted fine, then as time progressed she would litterally scream upon getting dressed in the moring, leaving the house and entering one of the daycare rooms inparticular when staff did not arrived on time and children were "held". My child had a never ending runny nose and was constantly sick. My child's experiance was heartbreaking to see, so much so that I nearly quit my job until a relative moved out to Las Vegas and agreed to babysit. We were lucky. Daycare, is a tough thing to deal with, North Las Vegas does not offer to many appealing options in my opinion- thank goodness were were lucky enough to have a familiy member help us out. I wish all of you parents out there lots of luck, finding a safe daycare option.

My boys started at Sweet Pea in June 2007. We liked the director and the staff very much. The staff has undergone some changes over the past year, some good, some bad. Ms. Kianna has been there the whole time and I must say she is the only reason our boys go there still. She is an asset to Sweet Pea and needs to be praised. I do not think she gets the recognition she deserves. She is excellent with the kids as well as Ms. Okita ( I know I'm butchering the spelling of their names) My 5 yr. old does not like to take naps and they allow him to sit quietly and do work in his work book while the other children nap. Other places my son has gone to would never let him do that.
Thank you.

I registered my two kids into sweet pea child care center on a Friday September 21, 2007 I was inform that all my paper work was completed and everything was taking of and my kids can start school on Monday September 21, 2007 . A staff member or should I say the Office manager I believe Kay called me on that Saturday September 24, 2007 to tell me that my kids could not attend the school on Monday because my EOB paperwork did was incorrect. Now when I was there on Friday she told me that she verified everything and everything was correct and completed and all I needed to do is give her my registration fee of One hundred and sixteen dollars and my kids will be schedule to start that following Monday. I would have never giving them my money had they told me I needed to get more paperwork or my paperwork was not completed. I feel they lie to just get my money. This situation left me with no day care for that week. I had to take off work for two days to find another school and pay another registration fee to the new school. Now the paperwork they were saying was not correct was fine according to the EOB. I received a telephone call one week later from Heather informing me that it is okay for my kids to start school that next Monday I ask Heather what happen I thought the paper work was wrong and said its okay now I informed Heather that I had already register my kids in another school and the paper work was fine, I don??t why a professional child care would do such a thing to a parent at the last moment I had to take off work with no pay to find another daycare. I informed her that I wanted a refund check and she said okay I will have my manager process it right away. I never heard anything from sweet pea until I started calling. I then talk to someone by the name Sherry or Teresa or Laurie I believe who was the office manager she informed me that she was sorry for the inconvenience and that she would check on my refund check. She called me back and said that my refund check was in the mail and I should get it in 7 to 10 business days. I never got it. I call to let her know I never got the check and she then informed me that she called the bank and the bank said because of the holidays the checks were delayed and the check will be mail out on Oct 15, 2007. I waited patently for two weeks I never got it. I then started to call and I notice they would only take messages and no one would ever call me back. I asked if the owner could give me a call he or she never called. I asked for a email address where I can email a request, never received a response. Finally after one month and half or all most two months, I finally spoke with the office manager and she yell and told me that I will not be receiving a refund check because they don??t give refunds. I informed her that I did not use your services because you call me at the last moment informing me that my kids could not come to your school, I pleaded with you to let my kids attend school because I could not miss work and you were paid and whatever need to be fit I would be happy to take care of, you told me no They could not attend. I want my money back. She said she would have the owner contact me they never did. I called and called no one help. I feel they rip me off. I am poor I do not have free money to give to any business for services I don??t use. I research the internet and Sweet Pea have so many bad complaints it amazing they are still in business from not feeding kids to abuse and as well as taking money from parent and not giving a refund check as promised.

I deeply regret ever subjecting my children to spending time at Sweet Pea. Unfortunately I found myself needing daycare with only a couple days notice when I was supposed to have a month to shop around. I went to Sweet Pea because they had the option of checking in on your kids via web cams installed in the rooms. I figured if they were willing to let parents watch all day then they must be treating them well. I never subscribed to the web videos since after the third day I found a new daycare. Unfortunately for my children I had to keep them at Sweet Pea for two weeks because I couldn't afford to pay the two weeks tuition for cancelling without notice. Looking back I would have found a way. The place smells bad and should have been my first clue. Once home I would give my kids (6 mo and 18 mo) a bath and change their clothes to get the smell off. The director and teachers (except one who I really liked) always seemed like they were having a stress full day even first thing in the morning when I dropped off. They did not provide meals which isn't a problem but they would not heat up anything either so it was cold lunches all the time. They were supposed to provide snacks and juice. I do not know of any juice that is blue or purple and a rice krispy treat is not a snack in my opinion. My son was only supposed to be drinking what I sent with him in bottles but three times they refilled with milk, he is allergic to dairy. There did not seem to be any order to where the children were supposed to be and on more than one occasion when picking my children up I had to track them down. In looking for them I saw one little girl (about 3 years) unsupervised in the bathroom playing in the toilet and another boy (about 5) just wandering in a classroom by himself. What still sits on my heart is the way my children reacted on drop off and pick up. They would start to cry as soon as I pulled into the driveway. I had to peel my oldest off me when it was time for me to go. When I picked them up he would run to me like I was finally there to rescue him then bolt out of the room for the front door. My youngest would hug me like he would not let go and cry. All they did when we got home was cry unless I was holding them, sitting with them, or holding hands. I could not leave the room without a major freak out. It was like this for two weeks and three days. There was a 180 degree difference with their new daycare. The first day my oldest cried a little but had stopped by the time I reached the front door. The third day, he yelled 'bye mom' and was off playing. Within the first week of not taking them to Sweet Pea I got back my happy, play full children. As a matter of fact, the second week I got to pick them up early and my oldest started crying because he was not ready to go. Around three months after leaving Sweet Pea we drove by on our way somewhere and because of traffic I slowed down to a crawl in front of the building. My oldest who was giggling and singing suddenly yelled 'I don't want to go' and started crying. My normally talkative and happy little boy was silent for the rest of the drive. I still regret ever enrolling my kids at Sweet Pea and have concerns about what else may have happened to cause such reactions from my children.

When I moved out here in November of 2005 I got a job and it started 3 days later I needed to get in a day care ASAP my first step was sweet pea I walked in and let my daughter walk around for a little while and the first question that came out of her mouth at 3 yrs old is this my new school? At that moment I enrolled, (almost 2 yrs later)ever since it has only gotten better. My daughter has learned so much and enjoys learning. If it wasn??t for this school and the wonderful teachers and directors I don??t know what I would do. My daughter is so happy when she gets out of school she cant wait to tell me about her day and what new thing she has learned. There or 3 specific ladies there that are so great with my daughter she always talks about them, I feel very comfortable leaving my daughter with them. So if you would like you child to learn and injoy learning take them to the center on Sahara and Jones.

My son attended Sweet Pea on Sahara and Jones for almost a year and it was a terrible experience. My son was coming home with marks, scratches and bruises constantly and no one could tell me why. When I would pick him up they would always tell me how bad my son was acting and asked to to sign disciplinary forms. Towards the end when I would pick him up I would come at a different time than normal to see what was going on and at least 3-5 times I walked in to find the teacher either on her cel phone or just not paying any attention to the children as they were chasing my son, kicking him and shoving his face into the rocks. The teacher one time actually watched this occurrence and then yelled at MY son. I was extremely upset and yelled at the teacher, the director and corporate office but yet no one cared. My son did start having behavior problems that were affecting his school work, his home life and he started to become belligerent and violent. Not to mention how the teachers were eating my sons lunches as I caught them doing. I WILL NEVER, NEVER RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY TO ANYONE, NOT EVEN MY WORST ENEMY. My son now attends the Boys and Girls Club and has never been happier.

PROS: NONE
CONS: TERRIBLE SERVICE, Teachers have no child care experience

My granddaughter lives in Portland, Oregon and I wish that she lived in Las vegas nearer to me for alot of reasons, one of them being that she could go to Sweet Pea Learning Center as our grandson does. We chose to put our grandson in the location on West Sahara & Jones Street, as we live off of West Sahara and I take him to school everyday while his parents go to work. It has been over 30 years since I have been inside a day care center and I am so impressed by the wonderful teachers, excellant new equipment, and monthly field trips that are all part of Sweet Pea. They divide the children according to age and offer each group projects that appeal to their ages. They a have computor in the classroom and every child gets to work on the computor. They teach educational things mixed with fun things. Our grandson cannot wait to go everyday. If they have written permission from the parents they offer monthly field trips to interesting places around Las Vegas. The school is small enough that every child gets attention. They open at 6;30 a.m. so parents can get their children there in time for work and I think that they close around 6p.m. in the evenings. Sometimes they have animals there so the children can learn how to act around animals. They offer daily prices, weekly prices and monthly prices. The monthly prices are a much better deal.
I suppose that they accept all ages as I have seen small infants when I drop off my grandson. As far as I am concerned they are very good at childcare and at teaching and at having fun for,as I said, our grandson can't wait to get there everyday.

PROS: Friendly teachers, lot's of fun and alot of learning at this daycare center
CONS: none
