I have been going there for 2 years. Recently the doctor and staff made me pay $50 for a health certificate that was already 5 days old! Needed it for international travel and had to get it authenticated by USDA. By the time the USDA sent it back, ($86.00 later) the Health Cert. had expired because Dr. Jones and staff dated it for 5 days BEFORE I picked it up. I had to go back and get a new Health Certificate. Dr. Jones wanted to charge me full price for it!! Another $50!! I refused because it was the Vet's fault. He only reduced it by 50% and did not accept any responsibility for it. Ha also charged me $200 for blood work that would have cost 1/4 if I had gone elsewhere. Vet, is rundown, staff are lazy and Dr. Jones is unethical. Don't go there.

I recently went to this vet with my 12 year old dog who was very sick. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They got me in to see the doctor quickly, even though I didn't have an appointment. The doctor was wonderful with my pet and did a good job of explaining things to me. We had such a good experience that when we got our new puppy a few days ago, we took her there too. I will continue to use this vet for my pets and would recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Jones and his staff have always been very helpful. He lets me know what my pets(4) need and has always been very professional. The fees are very fair. I have been going there for over 10 years without any complaints. Thank you Dr Jones

Dr Jones pulled 8 of my puppys perminate teeth after he said she was fine. If she was a human we would have sued. I would not let him touch any of my pets again and he was my vet for over 15 years. Sorry Dr Jones I believed in you!!! What happened to you.

I have been going to Dr Jones for about 6 years- I love him and recommend him to everyone, unfortunately over the 6 years I have been going- his office staff seems to change every time I go in there. Most are rude and do not acknowledge you-others have that "could careless" attitude I have made appointments to go in and find out it was not put down, The wait times are unbelievable long!!! And that's when you HAVE an appointment!! Now I kept going because Dr Jones is a WONDERFUL vet, very caring and gentle manner about him- and he seems to really care for my animals. But the straw that broke the camels back: number 1- I have stopped receiving the post cards in the mail for my dogs and cats shot updates, this didn't make me happy as I like to keep up on that and it is so easy to loose track, well I just got one this week and it was for my beloved Shelby that Dr Jones had to put down 3 years ago. Not for my living pets mind you, but for my Shelby who had to be put down unexpectedly- This hurt so bad to see this come in the mail I have no words. I know things happen all the time-and mistakes are made, but with all the mishaps in the past I cannot and will not over look this one. I'm sorry Dr Jones, You are a wonderful Vet-but you need a whole new staff-and people who are caring and have a nice gentle manner to them, like you do, and a staff that does not make mistakes like NOT sending out shot cards and then out of the blue sending one for a lost very cherished family member, to most of us our pets are an extension of our family and are thought of and treated as such- I can not trust your staff and there fore will not come back to your office.

I'm kind of surprised at the very negative reviews of Parkway Springs. I do agree that the office staff isn't the most attentive that I have encountered and sometimes take a long time to acknowledge your presence however when dealing directly with them I have never felt that they were at all rude. We have taken both our 8 yr old shelter rescue and our 6 mos old puppy to Parkway Springs. Over the years we have seen both vets. I have never encountered unclean or unsanitary conditions although of course I have only seen the entry and exam rooms, never the back. I felt both vets listened to me and did thorough exams. Our 8 yr old has gone in sick and everything given to us resolved the problem quickly and effectively. She has been going here for care since we adopted her approximately 5 years ago. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other veterinary hospitals in town.

REFUSING TO RELEASE MY DOGS!!

Beyond awful. I've had to retain an attorney for Pete's sake! I brought my 2 dogs in on a Friday for boarding until Monday, at $21 dollars per night for both. I was informed they needed to be up to date on all shots (understandable). So I responded that I think only one is behind on his rabies shot- and asked if they could do it there. They told me they could.
I returned on Monday to pick them up, and the invoice was $199!!!! They told me both my dogs were behind on all vaccinations so they went ahead and took care of it because they have to.
No one contacted me, no one said this to me while I was there, nothing! If they called their prior vet across town to find out- why wouldn't I be informed that I'll be charged THREE TIMES what I expected to pay- $63 dollars- I don't have the 200 simply because they gave vaccinations they didn't feel were important to tell me about!!
At this point they tell me that if I don't pay in full, that they will keep my dogs until I do. I called the police, who couldn't help, and my dogs are still there- while they continue to charge the boarding cost each day until I pay!!!!!!
Their paperwork states clearly that there must be proof of vaccinations PRIOR to boarding. Accepting my dogs and saying yes, we can do the rabies shot here- tells me that everything is ok! Had they made the call, and figured it out while I was still there- I would have known I can't pay 200, and would not have left them there!!!!

I love Dr. Jones and all the staff at Parkway Springs Animal Hospital. I take my Chihuahuas and German Shepherd mix there. Dr. Jones saved one of my Chhuahuas with a speedy diagnosis and referal to a specialist, which saved my pups life! Dr. Jones and his staff have always dealt with our emergencies and regular care promptly and with great consideration. I just can't say how great he, his wife and the crew are. I JUST LOVE THEM & am so grateful for their care! They are reasonably priced too, and sooo kind. When I moved to Henderson 3 years ago, I was referred to them and am so thankful.

I have been taking my two shelties to this Vet for years! My one dog is 11years old, the other 6 years old. I have NEVER had a problem. The facility is clean. The rooms or not only clean, but cozy! The staff is friendly. They do get busy with phones, checking in and out patients. People need to be patient. When they take care of you, you get the same curtious and attention as everyone else! I would recommend Animal Hospital and have.

After repeated poor service and rude staff I am finished with this Vet. Disappointed with the service and the rude treatment I asked to speak to Dr. Jones and was told that he was "busy." I waited until after the close of business patiently and the Doctor never had the dignity of showing his face. This is not the first...or second time similar incidents have occurred. Enough is enough.... there are enough other vets that do a fine job and provide acceptable service. I would not recommend this vet to anyone.

This is the most unsanitary, incompetent, hypocritical, ignorant vet I have ever been to. I brought my 1yr old chihuahua in because he was vomiting, lethargic, and just feeling really bad in general. Dr. Oliver came in with blood and various other fluids all over her scrubs. She started out talking about how there had been so many cases of kennel cough lately, that if my pup didn't have it already, he would after coming there. She began the physical exam and immediately ( in a very patronizing and accusatory tone) asked me if I planned to get him fixed anytime soon. He was neutered at 3 months old as it stated clearly on the forms I filled out and in his medical chart I brought in. She was actually feeling the two glands on the mid stomach area (nowhere near the scrotum) that enlarge when dogs get excited/ fearful. I was appalled at this glaring lack of knowledge of the most basic canine anatomy. I told this to my new vet, and he was incensed that someone like that was practicing medicine.

Anyway, he had a bit of discharge from his eye (he is a chi.. this is not uncommon). This brought her to the immediate diagnosis of kennel cough. I explained that he had his entire puppy series of vaccinations, including kennel cough, and that he has never been boarded or around any dogs besides my other two. She dismissed this and said that the vaccines don't work. I mentioned that I had given him a Greenie the previous night immediately preceding his illness. She told me how terrible Greenies are and not to give them to my dogs, which is odd since there is a huge sales rack of them in the lobby. I was quite aware of the many deaths caused by this product, hence my concern. She checked his belly and said she felt nothing in there. I was sent home with antibiotics for kennel cough.

Later that evening, he threw up a 3 inch undigested Greenie ( he is only 4 lbs, so I don't even know how it is possible. His symptoms immediately resolved, leading to my second warning:

NEVER EVER FEED GREENIES TO YOUR DOG!!!!

These were the new "reformulated easily digestible" ones too. It sat in his stomach for almost two days and still looked untouched .

After all this, I called the vet the next day to give her the real diagnosis, and was brushed off and told to keep him on the medication even though he was now completely fine, which I didn't do as it was just unnecessary and potentially dangerous.

In the end I was very lucky, swallowing an undetected Greenie is usually fatal, and I could have lost my baby boy to the horrible practices at the hands of this vet.

Do not go to Parkway Springs Animal Hospital in Henderson.

This is the most , unsanitary, incompetent, hypocritical, ignorant vet I have ever been to. I brought my 1yr old chihuahua in because he was throwing up and lethargic. The vet came in with bl00d and other fluids on her scrubs. She said kennel cough was going around, and that if my pup didn't have it already, he would after coming there. Pros: Not a single one

Cons: Unprofessional, should not be practicing medicine

I just lost my kitty- Precious. She was older and a part of it was likely the recall.

I can't tell you how sweet Dr. Oliver was. She saw us again and again. I was upset and paniced. I spole to her almost every day either on the phone or in person for about 2 weeks. When the time came, she even came in on her day off to make it a little easier on us because she had been battling alongside us! That is caring!

That is what I have come to expect from both Dr. Oliver and Dr. Noda. They are willing to take a call even if it is just about which food is a little better than another.

They seem to give advice based on what is best for the animal- even if another option might make more for the clinic. You can't ask for more than that! I wish I could find a physician I trusted that much!

I can't recommend them more strongly!

After our family pet "Wasabi", the family dog fractured his leg we took him to Parkway Springs. They were friendly and compassionate. Wasabi had to had to have surgery to place a pin in his leg. It was expensive but it included everything, the overnight stay, all meds, even aftercare meds and removing the pin too. It was a sad situation but our dog was well taking care of by the friendly knowledgeable staff and Doc's.

The entire staff and vets at Parkway Springs are people you want caring for your animals. I've taken my animals to many different vets in several states and rate Parkway Springs as tops on my list. Fair prices, knowledgeable staff, and a vet that is truly in the business to help the animlas. Few businesses retain thier staff and each time I go into Parkway Springs for a visit, I see the same faces...everyone from the lead vets, to front desk to animal assistants are there month after month, and have not seen many new workers. I also like to support vets who help local animal shelters, and Parkway Springs has a long history of helping with several shelters. Few businesses do I highly recommend, but Parkway Springs is definitely one that I would not hesitate to recommend.
