There are some great restaurants in Las Vegas and this USED to be one. It has fallen on hard times. The service is atrocious. The wait staff is lacking adult leadership.

The $18.80 lunch special is an absolute steal. And we've never had a problem with drink service being slow, we can usually only polish off two of their martinis anyway -- they make 'em strong! The Bananas foster is to die for, and I'm not

We've always wanted to try Commander's, and the 25-cent martinis during lunch sealed the deal on our trip last week. The food was very good. We had crab cobb salad (a little steep at $24 but it was delicious) and one of us had the $18.80

I expected a lot from these guys, seeing as how their New Orleans original is supposedly one of the best restaurants in the world. The food was great, but I was a bit let down. Check out the photos to see what we had. We went during the "jazz brunch," and there weren't that many people there. This led to a sort of depressing atmosphere.

We have been to the CP many times before but were disappointed by the slapdash service we received in September. It took over an hour and a half when we ordered from the lunch menu. The waiter and maitre'd/manager were profuse in apologies

If in Las Vegas...you must check out the Jazz brunch!! I just loved the authentic New Orleans cuisine and the live cajun band was a bonus. Their 3 course brunch menu was unreal, and at only $18/person!! The service was impeccable. One of my favorite meals in Vegas...I will definitely be back!

Although fried oysters and creole food are supposed to be this restaurant's mainstays, neither were on the menu. As a matter of fact, the waiter seemed never to have heard of fried oysters. I ordered the stuffed flounder which arrived cold and barely cooked. My husband sent it back to have it cooked through. When the waiter brought it back to the table, the fish looked as tho the chef had carelessly tossed it into the oven as the stuffing was no longer neatly inside the fish - - the whole thing was disarranged, plus the vegetables on the plate had also been re-cooked and were now nearly burnt. The waiter disappeared for long periods of time, never asked if we wanted wine, kept us waiting a very long time for the check. One of my worst dining experiences in years. It is a very lovely but very expensive restaurant with poor service and poor quality.

PROS: Lovely decor
CONS: Food not well prepared; poor service
