okay

I was not impressed with this buffet. I am in Vegas twice a year and have been to alot of buffets. They have a lot to offer but the food is very bland.

Pretty Good

by Brandon S. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,556

This place is pretty interesting, basically right in the middle of the casino. The Food is great and the oysters are always tasty. They have a good selection of hot sauces and other foods.

one oyster at a time

by Nicole B. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,029

The sushi was very good, different and large menu of choices, but the prices were a bit steep and there wasn't an all you can eat. But I would deffinately go back for more and more the prices are good and the staff is great Nice one here.

A lot of kids

by Ken J. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,182

The Orleans Hotel & Casino is a pretty good location to go for gaming and dining. There are a lot of kids at this location due in part to the arcade, movie theater and bowling alley at this locals establishment. However, it seems there are more kids roaming the actual casino floor than any of the other locals casino that I've noticed. There's also a lot of smoke at this location. I recommend this casino, but you will leave smelling of smoke.

Great Vegas Buffet

by Jennifer C. | insider Insider | Rank: 13,888

This buffet has every type of cuisine you could ask for. It has a great selection and the food is delicious. For a Vegas buffet this is one of my favorites to go to. Great dessert selection too.

Oysters so great

by Victoria F. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 971

Although they have many different foods I like the oysters because they are the best. They have steak and prime rib and the drinks are very good, I particularly like the pomegrante martini.

Good Vegas Buffet. Not my favorite, but one I can always count on. Has a good amount of choices and the food is always hot. Clean and nice dinning room.

Great hotel

by E R. | insider Insider | Rank: 32,702

The hotel in general is a great one. The front desk staff very nice and helpful. I would wanted to reserve a king size room but unfortunately they didn't have any available. However, the person that was checking me in offered me a suite for just a couple of bucks more. Very nice 1 bedroom suite, living room, dinning room, bar, etc. The pool is great, very large pool so not everyone is on top of each other with a very large jacuzzi right next to it.
There are many thing to do at this hotel. Bowling, movie teather, bars, gambling, spa, etc.

PROS: Very clean rooms, nice staff, many things to do and great food.

Good prices, good rooms.

by Sam K. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,464

This is a well maintained property, with lots of attractions at the hotel. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and clean and reasonably priced. They give you a coupon book when you check in. This is another location where having a car helps, and you'll be happy to know that it's not bad to park here. I liked it, I'd stay here again, and I think that if you check in and had a problem they would do their best to do right by you.

Awesome service and oysters

by nathan529

The hostess gave us a very indifferent attitude. But that was the only "bad" service we got all meal.
The waitress was extremely friendly and felt very apologetic for bringing out our entrees before the appetizer. In fact, she went above and beyond and gave us free dessert as a way of saying sorry. And the crab cakes were only a couple minutes late! It's rare to get such great service.

The raw oysters were simply amazing. They were extremely delicious. And this is during Summer months, when raw oysters are supposed to be on their seasonal worst.
The rest of the food was ok. Nothing stands out in my mind. We had a sampling of most of their popular dishes. I've had better gumbos and such at other oyster bars in the city.

I did enjoy their desserts a lot though. And not just because they were free.

Great Place

by radsxw1

We stayed at the Orleans and ate several times at Big Al's. The oysters are great along with the seafood chowder. The service was good and the price was about right. We will be going back to the Orleans soon and for sure we will eat at Big Al's.

Pros: Great Food

Good oyster stew...

by sushinut71

We had a late dinner at Big Al's and really enjoyed their oyster stew. It was chock-full of oyster and it went down well with a Corona. We enjoyed it !!
