I have been working out at LVAC since 1999.. Yeah.. a LONG time.

I have never had any complaints.. I feel like it's a pretty nice facility to work out.

I'm posting this review to let people know that there is a major problem with security at the Flamingo / 215 location.
This is a nice gym.. and it's the closest to home, for me.. I live only a few miles away.. so my fiance and I work out there regularly.

Last night, someone BROKE THE LOCK OFF the locker that he was using and stole his wallet.
Luckily for us, they did not also steal our car keys.

Management at the gym seem frazzled and have the attitude of "this never happens here!".. and yet, IT DOES.
Now that this happened to us, I've been reading reviews that tell a similar story, and a coworker of mine had her car stolen from the parking lot at the same gym.

LVAC needs to do something about this security problem.

If you work out at LVAC, remember, your stuff is NOT SAFE in a locker.. even if you have a lock.

That's all.

If I could give them negative stars I would. This business is seriously out to drain its clients for as much money as they can. With thier crappy customer service, overpopulated gym, and lousy parking (sometimes people have to wait to find parking) the continual charging of your card is not worth it. THIS IS NOT FOR PEOPLE WHO WILL NOT GO TO THE GYM EVERYDAY. Regardless, your card will keep being charged and the only way to get out of the contract is to provide 2 specific documents that show proof of moving to another state. Then a $50 cancellation fee will be charged to your card. Personally, this was the hassle for me as the company was reluctant to accept my out of state college documents as a form of proof. Additionally, my fiance had faxed over bills with, his name on them, from our out of state address with which they used to eventually cancel his membership after we repeatedly had to remind them to do. Annoyingly enough, with, this information, along with the fact that I was talking on the phone together with him, they continued to ask for more documents to prove thay I was out of state. When I finally sent the last acceptable document (which I know they recieved due to a confirmation email I recieved from all my faxes when they are sent to the recipient) they told me that it wasnt that they hadnt necessarily not recieved it, but it may take 24 hours or 2-3 days for it to process and cancel,so my card may or may not be charged again. I could tell by the persons voice that this was a load of bull seing as that time period happend to be when my next monthly membership charge would have been due. DO NOT SIGN UP. Try a non-contract gym it will save you,the hassle of wasting time, money, and a ton of frustration. ALSO THE WILL CONTINUE TO CHARGE YOUR CARD EVEN AFTER THE CONTRACT IS UP UNTIL YOU CALL THEM AND TELL THEM TO STOP DOING THIS. This is stated in their contract.

Terrible overall. Bernie the salesperson lied about the pool being empty all the time. I'm lucky to get in the pool and do any laps. I've had membership at other health clubs around the United States and this is the worst gym I have ever joined. Employees don't care about clients or safety. I saw 2 people hauled off in ambulances 3 weeks in a row. Although their are a lot of machines and space you will be lucky to get on the ones you want. People monopolize machines, resting and texting, hanging out with their buddies.
LVAC is going for Volume of people they can cram in a room NOT quality people and advice. I would gladly pay more for a better gym of higher quality and a place to swim.

I've been going to gyms for about 25 years. Perhaps it is Vegas, but I have never run into the treatment I get here in the two other states where I had gym memberships. #1 I pay for monthly training...it's a joke. I can't believe that the trainers have licenses or training education of any sort. I don't expect a personal trainer, but I do expect someone capable of ensuring I'm using proper form on equipment and able to set me up with an appropriate routine with modifications instead of one size fits all. They force you to sign an injury waiver but don't give you the basics that all other gyms outside of Vegas that I??ve attended have provided as part of the normal membership and to help avoid liability. Last time I tried to meet with a trainer, it was the head trainer. She was highly misleading on her knowledge and I figured that out with a few questions. Although she tried, she was clueless. I stopped going after that. When I try to get hold of a manager, it is even more of a joke. He'll call you back, he's in a meeting. Hire the right staff and give them an incentive to stay. Have good people available during the evening. The Yellow Shirts are mostly a joke and the ones that aren't leave. I agree with many others...another class action lawsuit on many levels would be appropriate. LVAC should be embarrassed. If they had their yellow shirts up to par, I would say I like the gym overall. It is clean and has lots of choices. But sales techniques also are horrible and very obviously geared at getting as much out of you as possible. Towels--part of my membership and I expected a choice of a work out towel or shower towel when needed. The towels are the worst quality I've seen and no shower towels. I really miss my gym in another state. I also tried the Agassi 24-Hour Fitness and they were 100 times worse the LVAC. Equipment was so crammed it seemed like it should be a safety violation. Agassi 24-Hour Fitness lied even more than LVAC and provided trainer options only at some absorbent price. 24-Hour said they would not show me how to use the equipment. #1 Rule: Proper form?any gym not willing to show you how to use their equipment properly without extra fees doesn??t care about fitness or injury avoidance at all. Perhaps Vegas needs a new gym geared at FITNESS FIRST and not GIVE ME YOUR MONEY AND DON??T COME BACK.

A Class Action Lawsuit might help people who are still being billed.
Or Channel 13 to Expose the Thiefs for what they are. I give them

I had my personal lock broken into and removed from my LVAC locker at (flamingo / 215) on 11/21/10 and some of my personal belongings were stolen. I was told by an LVAC staff member that the same thing happened to another club member two days before and that they have been seeing allot of this lately. Seeing that LVAC is aware of the problem, my question to Las Vegas Athletic club management was/is if you know that this is happening why don't you do something about it? just for the record... LVAC does have a wonderful facility but security is a major issue.

I went with a friend to check out the facility and work out with her as a guest. I am currently a member at 24 hour fitness and she was trying to convince me to switch gyms. DAN the sales associate was extremely rude when I asked if he could offer the same deal that I had at 24 hour fitness. He was condescending and he belittled me, as if I could not afford to work out there. He stated to me, "that I lacked commitment and I got to workout for free today, but if I wanted to come back I would have to pay." LVAC sucks!!!!! I will NEVER return to this gym ever. The customer service is despicable, such a disappointment :( Oh well 24 hour fitness may not have all the bells and whistles, but the one thing they do have is kind and caring people working there.

This club completely screwed me over. I signed with these guys in the fall of 07' but by winter in February 08' I was moving out of state so I needed to cancel my membership. When I called to cancel they told me all I needed to do was fax over my new address information in which I did and they would cancel it. Now almost 3 years later it showed up on my credit report in a collection account for almost $700.00. I called them to see WTF was going on and how the account balance could have possibly gotten so high and they said my membership was never canceled because a $50 cancel fee was never paid. I however, was never informed of a $50. When I asked why I was never notified and my account continually got charged they said, "its not their responsibility." They all along were charging an account that had been closed and left me with a huge balance that now results in a poor credit score. I am disputing this and I will not pay that balance for something I didn't even use. If anyone needs to dispute contact the Better Business Bureau of Las Vegas. Do not give these people your credit card info and just pay as you go if you decide to sign up.

People are morons. LVAC is a great club. There are a lot of people that go there but the equipment is always available. The classes are fun and the memberships are cheap. I could care less about the staff. They just scan my card and that's about it. All of these comments on here stating that you can't get out of a contract and they are scamming people, are false. You signed a CONTRACT. what gives you the right to break that contract? It also says on there that after your contract is up they will continue to bill you until you cancel your membership. Also, they have disclaimers there that say they are not responsible for lost or stolen items. People get things stolen from different places everyday. It does suck but it's not their fault. I love LVAC and will continue to go there.

I've been a member of LVAC since '04 and I've never had a problem with them. My payments were always on time up until the past year where finances were tight and I barely had the amount that they take out of my account every month. Even though and helpful. Yeah, they did call about 2-3 times a day at first, but really, it was MY fault, not theirs. I explained the story to one of the guys at corporate office and he was very understanding. I was finally able to get my account in positive, anmy account was negative for months, they were extremely understanding and I'm very thankful for their wonderful customer service.
Besides that, their facility (or at least the one of 215/Flamingo) is clean and even though it's crowded, the members are still very considerate of each other. I would recommend to anyone!

Do any of the people who gave LVAC a bad review realize that when they signed their contract it said they would continue to be billed after the 26 month contract period? You are all just idiots if you didn't read any of that.

Also, yeah, you signed a contract. They don't care if you're moving. You SIGNED A CONTRACT. Same as a cell phone company.

The clubs are great, affordable, and convenient. Don't listen to any of these morons.

I joined LVAC with a 2 year contract... they offer a better rate if you join giving them access to your checking account.. FIRST RED FLAG.. Which I ignored thinking how it would be more convenient.
When the 2 years was up, I tossed out my card and forgot about the membership... untill I realized on one of my bank statements a couple monthes later that they were still taking money out of my account!! ... Thats not just unethical, its criminal.. Taking money without your knowlege for a service youre not using is the same as stealing...I called immediately and there was no offer to give me my money back even though they could look up my usage history and see I had not been in since my contract was up. All she would offer was a discounted rate on another year if I paid up front so I agreed. But I threw out my membership card when the membership was up and they wont let me in untill I buy a new one for $12.00.. I said " I bought a new membership, I want a new card" The snot behind the counter then said.. "I put it in the computer that you cant use this club or any other in town untill you buy a new card" I almost smacked the bastard.
If you really want to join there, or anywhere else, I suggest NOT giving ANYONE access to your checking account. Once they have it, they dont want to let go of it and it WILL COST YOU!!!!

I had an okay experience with the gym until I had to move with the military and they gave me the run around in trying to end my membership. Not a bad place if you don't plan to move any time soon.

DON'T JOIN LVAC... There clubs are over crowded with people and the machines are packed so tight you can't turn around. They force you to sign there contract, so once you realize you don't like the club they still get your money. I changed bank accounts, they charge me $25 a month now, plus the late fee. So i forgot about their lame club, did they offer a way to make me happy? NO Did they offer waiving the fee? NO They must really be used to not having people pay. They don't even try to make a customer happy.

Been a member since '96. Never had a problem. These websites seem to attract the few people who have problems managing their money. I believe LVAC has close to 100,00 members. They would not have an following like this if they weren't doing smoething right. Never leave any valuables or wallets(id's etc.) in any locker anywhere in Vegas. There are pro thieves who can open most padlocks in a minute or less. One guy follows you, one watches locker-room door , third opens lock.(Very simple, very easy) Some real pro's will replace your credit cards with one they have already maxxed out. .You are not in Kasas anymore.

I am soooooooooooooooo happy I read these reviews. I just moved here and seriously thought about joining lvac. I got a whiff of a scam when visiting their website and could not find or get to pricing. How many legitimate businesses offer a product without a price on the internet? Very %$#@ing few, that's how many. Thanks for the reviews folks, I'll avoid these hucksters like the plague.

what is wrong with all these reviewers? most of them admit defaulting on the contract before ripping the club a new one for trying to collect the money due. the customer service skills of the collections people is atrocious compared to Nordstrom and actually really good compared to a collection agency. I had a problem when "I" changed banks and didn't notify them so I was charged an administration fee for the late and the insufficient funds that amounted to $65 which seems really compared to the $31 a month I spend for the club, but is actually really cheap compared to say...my bank and everyone else I do business with and don't pay on time. I feel so lucky to have such a nice facility with modern machines and nice people at the counters for a mere $31 a month for a PLATINUM membership. All these whiners need to look around and see how good they have it, and the pretty lady who can't deal with a guy at the counter losing his mind and looking up personal info to ask her out should spend some time at Opportunity Village so she can sing praises that another human being would break a rule to get with her. I operate a business at www.needrecon.com and www.fasteasyrepair.com and much of my job these days is figuring out who is a problem customer I don't want to work for vs. good customers. LVAC does everything to give us a good experience, what's so bad about us making sure it's a good experience for them and giving them a good review?

I love LVAC. The membership prices are reasonable especially for everything you get.

I have always had very good customer service. If you want someone who will be honest about membership cost and explain your options clearly, go to the Rainbow location and ask for Steven W. He helped me and he was great.

I paid for a two year contract up front. Once the two years was up they started debiting my checking acct. I called and asked and they said I had signed a three year contract. They debited my acct for the next year....then stopped for 6 months and started doing it again. I finally had to change my checking acct to stop them. They are CRIMINALS and SCAM Artists.

I moved out from LV (finally!!) and canceled my membership, they supposed to send me check ($56). I've never got it, called them 3 times, finally 6 weeks later I asked again for MY money. They said they have sent check and I can pay 35 dollars to stop payment on the first check. RIDICULOUS! I talked to Elene Toliver, office manager, which constantly interrupted me, was rude and wanted to brush me off, I couldn't even fisnish a sentence. I asked for a contact to higher management she lied to me that she is the highest one, the head of LVAC (what a liar), and she refused to give the contact to me (I will find out anyway). So basically they pass their fees on me, stealing my money and this 35 bucks is going to buy them a lot of bad reputation, my sis and her husband suppose to sign up there but they just changed their mind. This is 1 of the worst customer service I received.

My husband signed himself and me up for a membership and not two months later his wallet and car keys were stolen from his locker in the facility!! He had a combination lock on the locker!! The person stole his truck from the lot and the employees wanted nothing to do with us after that. They even told us NOT TO CALL THE COPS!! They refused to let us call the police!! The cops and dispatcher said that you should always call the police from the location and as soon as possible. We had to call from our cell phone in the parking lot. While we waited for the police a few club members walking out and the clerk at the hotel next door told us this wasn??t the first time this had happened at that particular club (215/Flamingo). Needless to say that after this event we no longer felt safe and they still refuse to cancel our memberships!! This happened in March 2009 and they still won??t allow us to cancel. They complained that the card they had on file was denied for our automatic withdrawal, duh it was stolen from your facility!!!!!! The ABSOLUTE only way to cancel a membership at LVAC is to move more than 20 miles away from ANY of their facilities!! This is the ONLY WAY!! Call and ask them. DO NOT SIGN A MEMBERSHIP WITH THE LAS VEGAS ATHLETIC CLUB!! Unless you want to run the risk of being robbed and harassed by them calling EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!! Worst customer service in the world!!

When your monthly auto-debited payment is due, they say that your credit card could not be charged then they try to charge you a $25 fee. My card had the available payment and they did not charge it. Then a week later they strated calling my cell phone, atleast 10 times a day, insisting I pay the fee. I spoke to American Express and they confirmed the amount was available. They are trying to screw you for extra money! Horrible company!

Perhaps they've changed their policy, but I had no problems getting out of my membership after a scant four months when I unexpectedly moved back home. The facilities at the Rainbow location were wonderful. I adored their spin class and was even able to go in as a guest with a friend of mine and try it out before I signed up. With regards to cancellation of membership, everything you need to know is in the contract, which you should always read before signing in the first place. On the back, it says that in order to be let out of the contract if you move, you must provide two examples of your new address (utility bills, change of address forms, new drivers license, etc.) and $50. I sent them a copy of my new drivers license and the yellow change of address form on forwarded mail, spent ten minutes on the phone providing them the $50 fee, and everything was taken care of. I'm sorry people had bad experiences, but I've had nothing but good experiences with LVAC.

My husband signed a 2-year contract and paid up front. We had switched from 24-Hour Fitness because the 215/Eastern location had racquetball courts. I was 71/2 months pregnant at the time and was with him when he signed up. We spoke in front of the salesperson about how we were going to wait for me to sign up until after I had the baby since I wouldn't be able to utilize the facility. Well, my dr. released me to work out yesterday, I went down to sign up and they refused to give me the promotion I was entitled to because they said 30-days had past - no exception. I explained to them my dilemma, telling them we had even discussed it in front of the salesperson and we should have been told about the 30-day stipulation, but they wouldn't budge. So, we called the corporate office where a representative tells me the Office Manager, Elana, would gladly forward an e-mail to higher management if I decided to e-mail customer service. He said he was unable to give me her last name & he wasn't allowed to give out names of upper management. There's obviously a lot of p'd off people at this place to not be able to give it out. My husband left a message for her, and she hasn't called him back. Elana's last name is Toliver, by the way, just in case anyone is wondering. Oh, and Bret Fitzgerald is the VP of Communications & Chad Smith is Executive VP, just in case anyone would like to write a letter regarding their hideous customer service. I can get better customer service from a used car salesman!!!

As long you never have a billing or administrative issue (changes to your membership benefits, etc) or have to deal with a front desk employee beyond the basics, you will be able to enjoy wonderful installations with many extras, like child care facilities, a lot of flat screens and equipment all over the place, racquetball courts, pools, sauna, etc.
In that regard I believe it is a great value, probably the best value in town, I love the place and they have many locations in Las Vegas.

BUT... and this can be a big but if you ever have to deal with it... if you ever need to deal with any customer service issue, be ready to be very disappointed and frustrated, at that time all that fanatic customer loyalty will go down the drain, and it is a shame that a place where they seem to be so much on top of things (they keep everything spotless, great maintenance I'd say) they can have such lousy standards for customer service.

I don't know if that is because once they get you to sign for 2-3 years they don't really care anymore or because they are too cocky thinking they have the best gyms in town and they are above the common business principles of customer service and courtesy you would expect from any company in this day and age.

I am writing this testimonial based on 3 separate incidents (2 of which took many, many calls, time, frustration and aggravation and were due to LVAC's fault, not mine. 1 Billing issue and 2 membership changes issues)

I originally got a membership with LVAC in 05 with my at the time bf, we went to the "Ghetto" location on maryland and karen.. it was scary to say the least... I ended up moving back to CA with 5 months left on my contract... I talked to someone very nice and told her I needed to cancel, they said no problem, took some info from me and DONE.... HA HA HA HA... I recently moved back to vegas in Nov of 08 and wanted to rejoin because there was a nice new place right by my work at Flamingo /215 so I wouldn't have to drive to Rainbow to avoid the ghetto location... Joining was a PAIN IN THE ASS.. apparently my "cancelled membership was NEVER cancelled and they wanted $300 from me to even get a new contract" Then when I renew they tell me that with the $31 membership I could bring whoever I wanted with me... Then when I do.. they won't allow them cause they are from out of state... I signed up for auto debit.. my first bill was cleared but then I never got charged for my next month... I thought it strange then I get a $51 bill in the mail... WTF? saying Im past due.. so I call corporate and get some kid arguing with me that I owe a $25 fee cause my card was declined... "come to find out they don't auto update info and my card had expired" I got a new one WITH THE SAME number on it.. and it worked for all my other auto bills.. They won';t budge on the fee and I will NOT pay it its their fault they did not notify me... And now they call my phone "and get to hear my vm" approx 7 times a day... if they can do that I wonder why no one could call me to tell me I needed to manually update info! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE... Buyer beware!!

I moved out of state. They would not let me cancel my membership without two proofs of new residence, for which they claimed utility bills were the only thing they would accept. My utilities are all in my partner's name. When I explained this, they said "Well, you can't cancel your membership then". They behaved like thugs getting the good end of an extortion deal.

I love this gym. The childcare facility is great! I have a 2 year old little girl who has been going their since she was 4 months old. The workers have always been Great with her! She always enjoys going. I like that they separate the babies and toddlers up to age 2 from the older children.

The gym itself is always clean and machines don't stay broken forever like some other gyms. I would highly recommend this gym!

The Green Valley LVAC is kept clean, lots of machines kept in much better condition than others gyms I've been to in LV. The staff at the front desk and at the corporate office have NEVER been rude to me. Even at 4:00 am, I'm usually greeted with a smile. Yes, it's crowded during the week in the evening, but you can always make time to do your workout another time. I purposely get up at 4:00 am to work out before I go to work, and it is never crowded then.

As far as contracts go, it is what it is. If you think you won't use it, don't sign it. I've never had a problem with contracts, debits, etc.

I agree with other's don't sign a contract!

Someone had already talked about help during pregnancy, I had the exact same thing. We knew we weren't in Las Vegas for a long time, so I didn't want to keep extending a contract further than the date we had planned to leave. 7 months pregnant I needed to suspend my contract due to dr's orders.

The phone support lied, I had asked to speak with a supervisor, was told one was unavailable and THEY offered for a supervisor to return my call. To this day (20 months later) I still have not had a return phone call!

I had worked front desk for a few months, and even as an MSR (high quality word for sales person) and learned a whole hell of a lot that most of you don't know. I'm a very shy person by nature but felt I grew a lot, also working front desk you get very drained day after day. the best way to get them to be friendly is to be friendly with them, if you rush in and slap down your card and barely get out the words "yeah you too" they're not gonna want to be extra kind towards you. also if you feel like one of them is doing a good job please make sure to let a manager know...their pay is pitiful (I made $3/hour more working at a hot dog place the summer before I started working there) and they can get raises based on merit. now when it comes to MSR's...the ultimate goal is to sell you a membership, and if you already have one it's to get you to bring in friends that want one, and to try to get you to upgrade to a bigger package. they can be nice people, but they have to make a living off of your dollar. if you wanna get payback then waste their time, ask very detailed questions, reread stuff in the contracts, ask to guarantee certain things that you expect. now when you're trying to cancel a membership you will need to call "corporate" they want you to stay so it is a pain. but it's "for your financial security" that they don't have the power to cancel at any location. whenever you're told that line it's from a front desk person that has no power, and would much prefer that you didn't blow up on them. the main thing I'm saying is to get the best outta the people that work there is to show them your best. (I quit my job as an MSR when I got out of college, I wasn't a very good one because I couldn't use their sales tactics)

I try to avoid this place during the day on weekdays, it's always so crowded, I find myself parking at the very far outskirts of the parking lot. The prices I find reasonable in comparison to 24 Hour Fitness, which seems to be on average $20/more a month. The facility is HUGE with flat screens on the cardio machines, pool, sauna, running track, body-specific machines, etc. The only downside is that the personal trainers are a bit pricy (or at least for me), but what do you expect, they are professionals and it's Vegas, not the middle of nowhere.

I like that they have security vehicles constantly cruising the parking lot to discourage auto theft, MAJOR PLUS. The only major complaint I have, besides the over crowding during peak times, is that they are HORRIBLE on the phone-- if you need to talk to someone, just go down there and handle it on person; they'll put you on hold for 15 minutes, then next thing you know, click-- they hung up. But then again, you get what you pay for, right? $20/month really isn't that bad...

Though I agree with others that the facility met my expectations, I recently found the customer service to be unsatisfactory. I am 8 months pregnant and, per doctors order, cannot workout again until 8 weeks after my baby is delivered. Therefore, I called L.V.A.C. Customer Service to request that my payments and membership be canceled for 3 months temporarily. Needless to say, I could also use the money to prepare for my new baby. They told me they would gladly accept the letter from my doctor, BUT that all they could do was add 3 "free" months at the end of my contract. I explained that I do not want to extend my contract...2 years was plenty to begin with. They refused to make a medical exception even after I spoke with a manager. Needless to say, this was quite upsetting considering the fact that I signed a contract to be a loyal customer for 2 years. I don't feel my business is appreciated.

Wow. Its unbelievable that sales rep will lie to your face about the contract details - and those smiles.. they're con artists. They will try to kiss up to you in order for you to sign it, but when it comes time to cancel, they wont even meet you in person at the club - they give you a number to call . then faxes to send. then penalties..proof of this and that.. I'm cancelling my gym membership for god's sake.. not selling a house..

Anyways, stay away from Las Vegas Athletic clubs. Don't contribute to a con artist management/sales managers/sale's rep business.

PROS: Decent equipment - bought from money they steal from us
CONS: Liars.

We joined the gym coz the tour was good and they have a lot of equipment and stuff but once we started going - we realized we dont need the upgraded service - to bring it down to 21 - they have a $25 cancellation fee, to cancel the subscription they need proof that u r moving like an airline ticket or a doctor's letter plus $150. now we are STUCK for 2 years and I dont think thats a nice feeling. so be very careful ...read the fine print and dont listen to the person marketing it please.

PROS: good equipment
CONS: crowded in the evenings, staff not that great,

A nice, new employee at the Maryland/Karen location was showing me the facility. She had a question for the manager when I was considering joining. The manager began talking down to her and was angry because she told me more about rates than was typical. He told her "now I can't come in and offer anything if they refuse!". When I left, I noticed the manager glare at her. A week and a half has past, and I wanted to join with her, since she was so helpful. I called and the rude girl that answered disconnected me. I called back and said " I am waiting for Stephanie...you disconnected me". The girl replied "I don't even know who she is!" I asked "Does anybody?" I heard the girl ask someone close to her "Do you know a Stephanie?" and I heard a man reply "Yeah, that's whose place I took". The girl said to me "She don't even work here no more". I said Thank you and hung up. I called another location to see if she had just been transferred. That man told me " unfortunately, no ". The man at the Flamingo store seemed nice but I feel like the employees are cut-throat between each other to get a commission. What ever happened to team-work? I was actually going to join today, because the original new employee that helped me was so nice and forthright. Now, FORGET IT!!

PROS: convenient location, family belongs so I can get reduced rate if I join now
CONS: No teamwork, They are out to get each other. To much Drama!

At the LVAC in henderson, their are really nice men in the front desk. They are really helpful and greet people every time. Also, the fitness trainers in the womens dept. seem real nice. There is any machine you can think of, and the trainers will help you find the workout you want.

PROS:
CONS: Lots of people in the evening!!

This business is very clean and has great deals, such as ladies join free. They have these athletic club's all over las vegas. The gym looks almost new, they have the place running smoothly. If you have any problem's a manager always makes things better.

Contract was misrepresented. Signed on with automatic debit from account and was never done and sent a large bill with no contact. Just horrible customer service. Changed bill to automatic debit and still was never done. Just a rude staff.

PROS: Cheap menbership
CONS: Poor customer service

The Las Vegas Athletic Club is one of the best gyms in town. I have been to a few other gyms in town and the LVAC is the one that I feel like I am getting the most for my money. Membership is only around 20 dollars a month, and they always have specials such as free or five dollar enrollment. Unlike some other gyms, the monthly fee gives you access to the whole gym, not just certain parts of it. With multiple convenient locations around town, it is a great deal.

This is a good place to join because there are so many LVAC's around the valley. It is very convenient. The only thing they are lacking is the basketball facilities.

I wouldn't suggest anyone go here.I can admit that their prices are cheap and to enroll is unbelievable but you are stuck for 2 years. What if something happens and you are unable to workout and you still have to pay the monthly dues.

I've been a member of LVAC for about 5yrs, and am convinced it is the best health club option in town. The locations I use most - Karen & MP and Flamingo & Sandhill are spacious with plenty of equipment and instructors. They also offer a great variety of classes. Kickboxing and Pilates have been particularly fun. A tour through the new location shows it to be even larger and better equipped. The best thing about LVAC is that your membership allows you to use any location in town, unlike some of the other clubs. When I joined they were running a "$5 to start" promotion - great deal.

PROS: Big clean facilities, great classes
CONS: Wish they'd offer more classes right after work

The las Vegas athletic clubs are a great way to get the needed exercise and meet new people. They offer a wide variety of classes with expirienced trainers.

I've been a member of LVAC for a little over a year. I can't say I'm head-over-heels for the place, but I don't hate it either. They have several machines to work out on. I rarely have to stand by and wait for a machine. There are enough locations so that there is always on nearby, wherever I may wake up. The Flamingo club isn't the nicest, and it's not open 24 hours. The new club in Green Valley is awesome, and a new one is being built near Cheyenne and 95.
The staff aren't the friendliest bunch of people I've every met, but they aren't downright rude either. They seem to just do their jobs and get through the day. When I went in for initial tour, they weren't too pushy. I got the tour and they showed me the options and let me make up my own mind. Nice gym to work out at. I wish they branched out beyond racquetball, weights, and a pool. It would be nice to see a couple of basketball courts.

PROS: Several locations open 24 hours.
CONS: Some locations need improvement.
