Through AAA, they sent a truck out to jump my car. The tech said the battery was shot so I followed him to their shop instead of taking it to my regular mechanic. Lazy move on my part. The whole experience at this place was discomforting. The battery took forever to install. Then they said something else was wrong. When I said I couldn't leave my car for the weekend, they practically begged and pleaded me to leave it. For a brief moment I felt a tinge of panic--a little fight/flight burst.

I took the car, which has been very well maintained, to my regular mechanic. They were mystified by how a wire in the alternator/battery complex could have shorted out. I ended up paying another $700.

The whole experience at Empire was weird. They were unprofessional and totally sketchy.

I should note that this was almost a year and a half ago. Who knows, maybe they've transformed? That experience has stuck with me and I feel irresponsible for not alerting anyone. But what can you do in these times of anti-regulation? At Empire I felt like I was back in Quito, where you can do just about whatever you want.

I took my car there due to a check engine light. After more than $3500 worth of work and 3 wks of back and forth repairs, the light is still on. Each time it was something new. They are pushy, unprofessional, and unskilled when dealing with certain cars. Stay away from this shop. Mr Singh acts like he is trying to help you, but he is all about helping himself to your $$$.

I don't generally write reviews online, but I am unbelievably shocked that a company that I respect(ed), AAA, took my vehicle to this scam artist. This is, by far, the worst customer service and the biggest joke I have ever had to deal with.

My car broke down as I was out of town, my girlfriend was driving and it flat out died on her in East New York. For some reason, AAA decided to tow her to this place 5 1/2 miles away. After getting 10 phone calls between the hours of 7am and 9am the following morning, our friend Mr. Singh informs me that if the car is staying on his property, he will charge me $105 to look at it, and then $50 a day as a "storage fee." I found him rude, challenging, disrespectful, and extremely irritating to deal with. I am convinced someone along the line is getting a kickback from this guy, because under no circumstances should this be considered a "recommended garage" as AAA puts it.

If you care about your money, your car, or being treated as a human being, do not even consider going to these con artists.

Called AAA because of a flat tire at 12:30pm for car parked on Eastern Pkwy. Waited for 2 hrs w/out a response. Called AAA again to learn that Empire Auto (their AAA affliate) said they had come to my vehicle and found no one there so they couldn't provide assistance. I was livid!!! When Empire Auto rep returned he was annoyed that I was upset and told me flat out to fix my own car and he walked away & drove off. Thanks AAA for such prompt and considerate customer service. NEVER AGAIN will I use AAA and who cares about EMPIRE!

scaaaam city. got taken here when i called aaa. they quoted me 60-90 dollars and a half hour before my car was hitched. that became 450 and 2 days when i showed up. i declined at that point and they put my car up on a lift and held it until i gave them 82 dollars. while i was trying to resolve this with aaa it happened to the person standing next to me. the managers name is randy. use these guys at your own risk.

Do not go to this place if you are a woman. After an argument over the price of an $800 Mercedes Benz part that was going to take 5 days to get to his shop, I found the part my self for $100 (I come from a family of mechanics down south) Mr. Singh wanted to charge me again for the labor. I had given him $163 the day prior for merely assessing the problem. He first told me that I was welcome to find the part myself and that he would credit the $163 to further installing it. When I showed up the next day with the part, he told me it would be another $300 --on top of the $163 I gave him the day before. My uncle had pulled the part from a Mercedes while on the phone with me in a matter of ten minutes. He said, "It shouldn't take your guy up there anymore than 30 minutes to put it back on."

When I left because Mr. Singh started yelling to the point I thought he was going to hit me, he came outside to my car told me to stick the part up my p***y.

Ladies, take your work across the street to Firestone, where they're a heck of a lot more honest and well-mannered and won't treat you like the idiot Mr. Singh apparently believes all American women are. This guy should not be in any form of any business. He needs to be in anger management therapy instead.

Take my $163 lesson and don't risk this man ruining your day and still not fixing your car.

I come here to get my cars brake service done here. I like to purchase my own pads from the itnternet for cheaper and get my own synthethic fluid and synthetic grease. Normally mechanics dont like using outside parts since they make good profit on it, but these guys they discount u only for labor and no parts. I like the way the guy does it he explains to me how he does it and shows me the old part. I found a few service shops dont give back your fluid even if some is left these guys give back all material. They do a solid job and got 15 years plus of experience.

PROS: Good prices good people
CONS: none
