5 Stars: So many items....... (by UmmSalamah b.)

I really enjoy visiting this store. You might not believe you are in a thrift shop when first entering this "trendy" establishment, what with its interior designers working overtime displaying their goods of the week. Comfortable sofas greet the customers when first entering and then you can browse around the sections marked by category for a candlestick holder to a gown for that matter.

The staff is very helpful and professional. The store display changes rapidly and keeps passersby busy.

Hopefully I'll have a chance to return to find some matching items to the tableware I purchased last time, if not, i'm sure something else will catch my eye.

5 Stars: For a good Cause! (by Simon P.)

Housing Works Thrift Shop & Pick Up Donation Info has an amazing selection of brand name apparel for so much less. When walking in, Thrift shop does not come into your mind, It is a very organized and polished store and I love to come check it out once in awhile to see what they have. Housing Works also is for a great cause, making me feel even better when purchasing, because I know the money is going to better things. I would highly recommend checking this place out at least once, I'm sure you'll find something you like at a good price.

5 Stars: Thrifts Galore (by Theresa G.)

You will never think this is a thrift store. When you walk in the place looks like a upscale fashion shop. There are all kinds of merchandise for sale at reasonable prices. Men's and women's clothing and children's in today's styles. Shoes, and fashionable accesssories. There are rugs and furniture, books, kitchen utensils, just about everything you can imagine. And best of all they use their profits to help the homeless and HIV/AIDS programs. A most pleasant atmosphere with helpful and cheerful employees. Take a look!

PROS: Quality merchandise at reasonable prices.
CONS:

4 Stars: Housing Works (by Dan S.)

Housing Works is different from a lot of the other thrift stores in the city because the prices are higher, but the stuff there is often much nicer. I'm not sure how they manage to get so much designer clothing while the Salvation Army and Goodwill get crummy stuff. Anyway, the store supports a great cause and it's worth going if you're in the mood to get something a little nicer for a little bit higher price. They also have periodic auctions that you can do online.

4 Stars: for a good cause (by Kayla S.)

All money made from the rather upscale items at this rather upscale thrift shop go to benefit homeless people living with HIV/AIDS. It seems like a good place to go if you are looking to buy furniture or other major items, because there are many nice things here, they are just not as cheap as at other thrift shops (but anyway, it's for a good cause). I think that all the people who work here are volunteers.

2 Stars: way overpriced (by Simone D.)

As thrift stores go, this one is far too expensive. It has very pretty things, both furniture and clothes, but to my knowledge the reason to go to thrift stores is getting a good deal.
