I came to this salon for the first time to get a bikini wax. The lady at the front desk, who was very nice, recommended me to try to get a Brazilian bikini wax which I had always been too scared to do. I got Elena who took great care of me and talked me through the wax. There was no double dipping which made me very comfortable and happy. Now I'm trying to convince my boyfriend to get his back wax since this place does man waxing. Either way, I am very satisfied with the environment, the prices, and the professionalism.

I HAVE RECOMMENDED THIS SALON ALONG WITH BARBARA IN PARTICULAR TO MANY PEOPLE. AS A FACIALIST SHE HAS A VERY LIGHT TOUCH AND ALL THAT HAVE SENSITVE SKIN SHOULD GO TO HER, THEY WILL NOT REGRET IT. AS FOR THE WAX ON THE LEG IF SHE DIDN?T SEE IT THEN SHE COULDN?T HAVE CLEANED IT UP. SOMETIMES IT PAYS NOT TO BE A QUIET WALLFLOWER.

I brought all of my girlfriends to this salon about two years ago for my birthday, and being the skeptic that I am, I was not too sure if I would like it. The woman doing my nails was Elena, who is like a sister to me at this point. Everything went very smoothly and not only did I walk away with a great mani and pedi but I find myself coming back just to talk to Elena and spend time with her. Honestly, this salon is just a bundle of surprises; with Elena and her skills, you really can't go wrong!

The reception was very nice when I got there with my friend. We booked for Brazilian wax. I had Barbara. I saw some good reviews about her from here and I thought it would be great to get her. The whole thing was really fast less than 5 min for the wax which was ok. During the waxing I felt the wax dripped on my leg and I thought she wiped it off from me and when I got home I saw the mess all over my leg and some hair still there. It was disgusting. Also, when she put the wax on it was so HOT! I never been to a place that place VERY HOT wax on me like that. I don't think I will feel comfortable going back and I felt embarrass I took my friend there. Will not go again.

I was in a rush the other day and needed to get my legs and eyebrows done. I walked past Dyanna and decided to go inside, thinking I could get this done quickly and go about my day. I was a walk-in and got Elena, this little blonde woman with such a relaxing energy. She made it so painless and before I noticed everything was over! Ever since then, I have come to her and now I am a regular of hers. I recommend her to anyone, regulars or walk-ins. She left me completely hairless while allowing me to be very comfortable.

This is my first citysearch review. As long as I've been coming to this site, I have never been compelled to write a review but I literally just came home from Dyanna and went directly to the computer to write my review.
I've never been anywhere with such personal, friendly service and attention to detail. The staff at Dyanna are its best asset -- I've made several visits and everyone I've met has been very helpful, charming and interesting as well as knowledgeable and skilled in their field. If you want tips on how to keep your skin fresh between facials, avoid ingrown hairs between waxes or keep your toes tip-top between pedicures, these are the girls to ask. The atmosphere is so relaxed and sociable -- and the staff and other guests so friendly -- that I always leave feeling like I've been visiting friends rather than a salon. I have to recommend a few people by name -- Barbara's facials are incredible, Alex is the best waxer I've ever met (and I've met plenty), and on my last visit I met Olga, who gave me an excellent pedicure and did some crazily creative color layering. Irina is an incredible hostess and provides a great environment in which to hang out before or after your treatment.

I chose Dyanna to buy a birthday packages for my wife and sister. Excellent move. They both loved the manicures, pedicures, messages. I took a 30 min message myself. Very good prices and a clean, comfortable, professional operation.

I LOVE this place!! The staff there is great, not only are they incredible at what they do but they make you feel comfortable and welcome. Barbara does the best waxing that actually works...seriously!! It doesn't hurt and I can go up to six weeks between wax a session now, which leaves me extra cash for her incredible facials :)

I will also highly recommend Alex for massages. She has the best intuition of what needs more pressure or less. I can go to her for that needed relaxation from daily stress or to zone in on one specific spot that needs a little extra attention.

I NEVER HAD LIP WAXING AND LAURA IS FANTASTIC,NO PAIN AND NO MARKS. SHE ALSO KNEW EXACTLY TO DO MY PEDICURE AND IT IS AMAZING. I NEVER HAD NAIL UNTIL I WENT TO DYANNA. THEY TOLD ME I DID NOT NEED ARTIFICAL NAILS AND GUESS WHAT THEY WERE SO RIGHT. WHEN YOU WALK INTO DYANNA THEY MAKE YOU FEEL AT HOME AND THEIR WORK IS EXCEPTIONAL. I USE LAURA ONCE A WEEK AND I AM LOST WITHOUT HER.

I had a Brazilian wax done at Dyanna by Alex. I was very apprehensive about getting it done because of prior unpleasant experiences with Brazilian waxing. The girl Alex who did my wax saw that I was very nervous about. She was very pleasant and explained the whole thing to me, which put me at ease about getting it done. I was very pleasantly surprised by the whole thing. I will definitely be back to Dyanna for another wax. Thank you Alex for you help.

I feel like the girls that work there are one genuine family, and going there is always such a big relief to my week. Not only is the service superb, but the whole vibe of the place is amazing... like you are hanging out with your friends and getting pampered!

The manicures and pedicures last SOOO long- My last manicure has lasted at least 1.5 weeks without even a single chip in the color, which is great for my budget! The waxing is also wonderful- quick and painless.

Came back here for a facial last week and was sooo impressed! My skin was left feeling so smooth all week that everyone kept asking me why I was glowing :)

I also got a wax, and this was my first bikini wax ever so I was SOOO scared... only to find out theres nothing to be scared of! The girl who did my wax was super friendly and reassuring.. the whole process was quick and painless and I could not be more pleased!

Honestly, I never went to this salon until my best friend strongly recommended I go. So I went...and let me tell you I WILL NEVER BE GOING ANYWHERE ELSE! I made an appointment with Elena, whom my friend advised, and she was great! Not only was she very polite and kind to interact with, but her skills are perfection. Bikini wax was quick with no stray hair, pedi was just the way I like it: relaxing with fantastic results, and mani was intimate, I didn?t feel like I was speaking to a robot, Elena made me feel comfortable while doing a great job! I strongly recommend going here and requesting Elena, you won?t be disappointed!

I have been going to Dyanna for close to 3 years now. I used to go to the overrated J Sisters. I found this place and I love it. The women there are professionals and very nice. I have gone there with an appointment as well as just popping in. I have never had a problem. The only disappointment I had was dropping in on a Saturday too late, only to find them closed. I should have checked the time. They treat everyone the same. I usually get a Brazilian which takes about 10-15 minutes and the result is great. Their prices went up but honestly, I didin't mind because the service is top notch. I enjoy speaking to the them because they make something that is a bit unplesant bearable. I have never had any other service there but I will in the future. Go... you wont regret it!

I've been to this place every month for my brazilian wax for about six months now. The first time I went, I had Jackie, who I was happy with - she is very friendly and efficient. The second time I had Milla, and I will NEVER go to anyone else. She is really sweet and very detail-oriented... ie she will really clean you up - down to helping you with in-growns and helping you figure out how to minimize them for the next time. She does narrower strips of hair so you won't feel the pain as much. She has a definite sense of humor and there is something comforting about when she tells you "Almost done, baby." Best of all, you feel very comfortable with her. Last time I had a full leg with the brazilian. I always take an ibuprofin about an hour before I go. It's never as bad as you think and the results... heaven! Go every month and you'll see a real difference in your re-growth. I love this place - very clean, the reception is great, the women are always smiling. Oh and the price seems to be very good, too. I like the wax they use also. Best is Milla!

This is by far the best salon in the Gramercy park area if not all of Manhattan. I have tried many other salons for manicures, pedicures, waxes, and massages and all i would get was over priced mediocre work.. At Dyanna the services are A+, the staff is friendly, the place is newly renovated and chic, and the prices are the best.

I would highly recommend to anyone in need of a great beauty service salon in Manhattan!! A great find for anyone that goes there :)

One word to describe Dyanna? Fantastic!! And just what makes it so fantastic is one person: Elena! Not only is she a joy to be around but also her ability to make anyone and everyone hair-free is amazing! She always greets customers with a smile, remembers who the customers are (that's very very hard to find), and makes me actually enjoy getting waxed! The process itself seems less painful with her and the outcome is perfect! Not a stray hair is to be found! Overall, her demeanor, personality, and true talent make it a pleasure to get waxed!

I had a wax done by Alex at the spa. Thank you very much Alex for the wax. Like always it was quick and painless. You have a great hands and personality. I come from another state to get a wax done by you, and it always turns out great. It is very important to feel very comfortable with the person who does your intimate wax, as I do with Alex. I had brazilian wax with Alex, she was greate, she talked to me during the service,and I was done in less then 10 min,. The place is really osome, after I was done with my brazilian, the reseptionist told me about massages they offer, I got 30 min of reflexology done by Alex the same person that did my waxing, now I will be back for waxing, and next time I will defenately try to do an hour of deep tissue massage.

I think her name was Elena, but she was fast and thorough. I think I was in and out in 10 minutes. The place was nice, CLEAN, and no surprises in terms of pricing, etc. etc. I got a brazilian but would definitely recommend this place for your other needs as well.

I went to Dyanna at the rec. of a collegue. I am a faithful waxer to a woman on long island, and when i can't get out there I dread going to someone new. Especially in the city where things tend to be super-expensive. So I went, a tad nervous from some of these reviews. I requested Alla, not sure if I actually ended up with her though. The woman I had was quick, conversational and pretty thorough. I would say this place is not for the faint of heart, but for veteran waxers that need a quick fix. Would I go back, sure. Do I reccomend, yes. For first time waxers maybe not so much....
All in all pleasant experience

I have been going to Dyanna's for waxing for several years now, specifically to Elena. She is truly wonderful. She's fast, thorough and at this point, a friend who is a pleasure to talk to. While all waxing hurts, Elena's quick wrists make it a shorter experience. She does a full check over before moving on to the next area to make sure no strays were left behind. She is also a wizzard at perfectly shaping eyebrows. She is so pleasant and friendly, that I sometimes forget that I am there being waxed!!!! The salon as a whole is clean, and always able to fit me in for an emergency. I have also had really nice manicures and pedicures there. I highly recommend it, and Elena specifically within it for waxing.

I just got back from getting a brazilian, eyebrow and lip wax. I decide to try this place after it won best bikini on citysearch and read all the great reviews. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. I got waxed by Alla and my decision to do was based on all the great reviews everyone gave her. She didn't introduce herself. I was pointed to a back room and given zero instruction. (undies, no undies, paper undies?) She didn't knock when she re-entered. She COMMENTED on my private area, asking me what surgery I had based on the fact that I have little scars down there. Highly inappropriate!!! Here was a huge clump of hair stuck to the wax bowl- GROSS. She missed stray hairs when doing my eyebrows. Then missed again when I asked her to tweeze it, and missed it again and AGAIN. This place was horrible- my search continues!

I went to Dyanna for the first time based on a friend's recommendation. I absolutely loved my brazilian wax! The service was fast, yet thorough, and I was made to feel completely comfortable. It was extremely affordable (for a brazilian and an underarm I paid $55 with tip!). The staff is friendly, appointments are adhered to (I was seen right away even thought I was 5 minutes late), and the shop is clean. The place is busy so do make an appointment. Ask for Olla - she's excellent.

Elena and Allah are the best! I've been coming to them for the past 4 years without missing a beat. Usually I come early afternoon which makes it easy to walk in, and they're always ready to accomodate me. What I like the best is that I can get a fantastic thorough service without being there all day. Let's face it, I love them but I want my bikini wax over with. I've also learned how to properly take care of my "skin down there" to avoid unsightly ingrowns. I highly recommend Dyanna to all my own clients and friends as well. I honestly don't trust anyone else and will continue to be thier client forever if I can.

I've just been for my first ever brazilian wax and chose Dyanna's as it's just round the corner and i'd read some decent reviews. I was rather nervous and was glad that Rita, my waxer, was pleasant , just got on with it and was very matter of fact. O.K. you don't find yourself in the most dignified of positions but it was over so quickly, I was shocked! For a first time brazilian, I was in and out in 10 minutes! I took an Advil an hour before and have to say, it wasn't nearly as painful as I thought.

The place isn't the fanciest of spas you could go to, but I thought it was clean and the pricing is great. I'm a convert!

First, let's address the clean issue. I do not understand why anyone would criticize the cleanliness at Dyanna. The people and faciltiy are both clean. And more importantly, the service is excellent -- experienced staff, great waxing and reasonable prices.

I've been going to Elena for waxing for many years now. Everytime I go I feel welcomed, she makes me feel very comfortable. She is very fast and painless. The results are amazing. Not only is she great at what she does, but she also treats you like one of her best friends. I would recommend Elena to anyone looking for a great bikini, leg, arm, or face wax.

Two words for you: ELANA & LANA...they are both super sweet and give the quickest and most painless bikini waxes. I've been going here for 7 years and have never been disappointed with their quality of waxing. Both are VERY sweet, consistant and make you feel super comfortable regardless of the mess down below. DYANNA's in not for the shy! They go to work...and leave you feeling ready for a date :)

I came here last year after reading favorable reviews on this site, and have been a loyal customer ever since. yes a few times the waxes have been inconistent, but overall I've been very satisfied and the prices more than make up for it- it's much cheaper than Bloomie nail or other chains. I recommend Alla- she always gives a quick, clean Brazilian wax and I'm in and out of here in 15 min. some of the other women are not as fast or thorough, but Alla never disappoints.

Dont go here- especially if you need change! They dont care if you're a long time loyal customer!

I used to get leg/bikini waxed regularly here for 4 years. Nothing fancy, but clean and cheap. The ladies were nice- never remarking about how hairy you are, like some waxers. I was willing to overlook that for leg waxes going all the way up, is $10 extra.

THEN.. they "lost" my money; and all the gals who were previously nice, suddenly turned nasty.

I needed change for a $20; they gave it to me, then demanded another $20. I explained I already gave them a $20 bill. They accused me of never giving them any money. I explained I only had $40 in my wallet, and now I only had $20, so they must have dropped the money. They didnt bother to look on the floor, so I did; I didnt see it.

They became really nasty, and kept saying "we're not liars" (I'd never accused them of anything; I was very polite). Then they accused me of lying.

I was so upset that these women, who I'd been seeing for years, could suddenly be so cold and obnoxious. I never cry in public, but they almost reduced me to tears. They refused to look anywhere for the dropped money, continued to accuse me; and wouldnt let me leave till I paid them another $20.

I dont make a lot of money, I live paycheck to paycheck- and $20 for me is more than a week of grocery money. I now had nothing in my wallet. And so couldnt buy groceries that night or that week, until I got paid again.

One client was so concerned that she came out after me to make sure I was okay. She told me the same thing had happened to her last month; and she was not going to go there anymore.

DONT GO HERE. It doesnt matter if you're a loyal customer. They dont care.

I have been going to see Lana for a few years now. Apart from being incredibly sweet and making me feel really comfortable, she delivers fantastic results. Perfectly smooth, virtually painless, and I don't have to go back for weeks!

I highly reccommend this place. I was a bit scared at first because I have a lot of hair, but Elena was very gentle and quick. Not as painful as I would have thought. I ended up doing the whole nine. smooth as a babys bottom.
I am very pleased with this place, I will definately be going back!

i've been going to dyanna for just under a year for bikini waxes. i found that they have been highly inconsistent. on more than one occasion i have found patches that the waxer completely ignored or forgot to wax. But the last time i went was the worst: the staff member was completely rude, did an awful job and did not leave the shape that i had requested. When she was finished she walked out of the room, leaving the door wide open so everyone getting a pedicure could see me without my drawers. i am never going there again.

I used to travel all the way to NJ from the city for 5 years for a brazilian wax b/c i only trusted one woman for her care and value. Being geographically disadvatanged, I went to my trusty citysearch review and found this place. Thank you Citysearch! Dyanna's Jackie gave me a great wax: smooth and virtually painless. And the price! I almost fell over when I saw how inexpensive it was. Some places have you feeling like you just had a unnecessary gynecologist exam. Not here, discreet, cheap, and sleek. Thanx Dyanna!
