We recently sold a property in Woodstock. Win Morrison was the agent for the buyer. We accepted a purchase offer in early November, but were unable to close until mid- March a day before the contract expired due primarily to the inept handling of this transaction by Win Morrison. Throughout the process both our lawyer and our real estate agent expressed a high degree of frustration in there dealings with Win Morrison. They were unresponsive to requests for information and uncooperative in concluding this deal. As a buyer or seller, I would stay away from this company.

Horrible!!!

I rarely write reviews, but after browsing around online looking at local real estate, and seeing all these great things about Winn Morrison Realty, I thought it was time a REAL review was posted.

My family has been thinking about listing our property, and upgrading to a bigger family oriented home. I??ve been online doing some searches, and saw a few listings that I was interested in. Along with wanting to get more info, I wanted to also speak to an agent about the possibilities of looking at my home to list. Because of my area, I first called their Woodstock office. It was during the week, during business hours, and there was no answer. It seemed the office was closed. I tried calling a second time that day, with the same results. The following day, I was in the Village, and decided to stop by, but the office was locked up and closed. It was a bit concerning to know that in the middle of the work week, 2 days in a row, their office was closed.

It was very disappointing, since there were so many great reviews of the company online. So, I decided to try their main office number. The first time I called their main Kingston number, the woman who answered was not very friendly at all. I??m not sure if she??s a receptionist, an agent, or someone who just happened to pick up a ringing phone, but the way she answered the phone, made me feel like I was bothering her by calling.

Once I explained that I had some questions regarding some listings I saw on their website, she didn??t let me finish speaking, she put me on hold, where I was left waiting until someone else picked up the line. Never introduced themselves, didn??t ask for my name, my contact info. I was a bit stunned, and taken aback. I started to explain that I had questions regarding property, and before I could explain that I was ALSO interested in LISTING my house, I was interrupted again, and rudely asked what street the property was on, did I know what area or where I was? I was then put on hold several more minutes, until the agent came back sounding agitated and said that they couldn??t find it in their ??book?, and was I sure it was their listing?

At this point, I??m aggravated. I??m interested in getting more info and possibly looking at some properties. AND I??m thinking of listing my home. I would have to be beyond crazy to ever list my home with a company like this! The office in the area my home is in, is closed two days in a row during a business week, if anyone answers the phone at the main office, you??re met with a rude receptionist. Agents can??t find their own listings when potential buyers call in. What kind of circus is this?!?

I was baffled because there were so many great reviews, so out of curiosity, I went back online, and started reading these reviews. Even though they are posted by different accounts, most of the reviews are nearly identical, and they are rather vague, stating that the company is the best, but never stating why. Never stating which agent did such a great job. Did the reviewer buy or sell a home, or both???? Very vague, nearly identical reviews. Makes me think that the company is posting these reviews themselves, which I feel is very low.

Be warned, don??t be tricked or fooled by the gimmicks.
