Dr. Sousa is by far the best vet I have ever seen. He treats the animals as though they are loved members of your family, explaining everything that he is doing. Our puppy loved him, and trusted him from the moment the doctor entered the room, and the doctor repeatedly treated our animals with a respect usually only reserved for regular physicians.

We moved from Buffalo, and if the drive was even a little easier to fit into our schedules, we would gladly go through the 2.5 hour round trip in exchange for the service and peace of mind that Mc Clelland provides.

If you love your pet you will take them there.

In previously dealing with area vets, I can honestly attest that Dr. Sousa is the BEST! I found his fees very reasonable vs. dealing with other area "group" vets... Dr. Sousa genuinely cares for your pet and always talks to it; he is highly knowledgeable in diagnosis and treatment; very flexible and wait time is next to zero. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We brought our dog and cat to Dr. Souza for 2 years before a move forced us to switch vets - and I wish we had been able to stay! He's great with the animals, and takes his time thoroughly listening, examining, and explaining. He doesn't pressure owners into procedures, and the pricing is very fair. I liked that he is the only vet at the practice - it made developing a relationship much easier, and I didn't need to review everything that had happened at earlier visits (a problem I had at a practice with 5 different vets). Another huge plus at this relatively "small" practice - I never waited more than 2 minutes to be seen by the vet! I move often, and have had 4 different vets over the past few years, but Dr. Souza was the best.

McClelland was recommended by a friend at a point where our dog was very sick. Dr. S. and his staff brought him through that crisis, and have been keeping him healthy ever since. They can always get us when when we need to be seen and are consistently helpful and upbeat.

Highly recommended.

The vet here is a great guy. He shows such compassion for your animal. There has not been a time when I went here with my cat or dog that each worker did not call my pet by its name. My daughter likes this. They are very personal. The prices are very comparable to other vets in the area- but the service here is better. The staff is very knowledgable and explains problems your pet may be having in terms that a normal person can understand. I would recommend this vet.
