Helfand Raymond Od - Helfand Taub Inc

Dr. Helfand is a great optometrist. They accept many different union, and have a great selection of their own frames. They have flexon glasses which can be bent and twisted and will not break. They have good prices on lenses, whether you wear single vision, bifocals or progressives. It was easy to make an appointment with Dr. Helfand's office, and the exam was fast and thorough. I had my glasses within a week.

My family and I have been using Dr. Helfand since we moved out to Staten Island 25 years ago. He is such a sweet, nice man and since we've been going for so long I feel like he is an old family friend talking about our families, work, etc when we go get our eyes checked. Not to mention that he does a very thorough job with checking your eye sight and signs for anything such as glaucoma or such with all the technology that he has. His staff is wonderful and very helpful in picking out frames in their pretty extensive selection. He also takes a lot of insurance carriers (I would just call to find out if he takes yours). You won't go wrong using him and you get such more personal service & takes the time to care as oppose to going to a chain eye doctor.

CONS: Nothing!
