My mood improves even as I open the door. Greeted by friendly faces, always upbeat. They know my name. Waterwalls soothegreat my mind. And then right on time I am greeted by my stylist Becky. As far as I know, she is the best of the best.

Capello Salon is located on Main St. in Williamsville, NY. I have been getting my hair cut there since the late 80s and wouldn't go anywhere else. They are professional, helpful and always easy to work with whenever a conflict arises.

This is a busy place - it may not be the most relaxing salon experience you've ever had (hence the 4 star rating -otherwise would be a 5!) but it is worth it for the exceptional services provided. Best hair services, pedicures, and facials; Marina, Aileen and Tracy are awesome!

I have been going to Tawnya at Capello for almost 5 years. She is fantastic. She is easy to work with and makes getting my haircut and getting a pedicure a pleasure. She is a real person who is excellent at what she loves to do. Capello has the best pedicure in town. I have tried other places and they do not last as long as the ones I have had done at Capello. The staff are all friendly and courteous.
Capello is a very busy Salon. They can do everything. Hair, makeup, spa treatments, the works. However, if you want to get it all done at once you MUST book ahead, because they are a busy place. If you are wanting the best, this place is it.

I'd go in every morning if I could just for the wash and head massage! Then I put myself in Dan's capable hands. He does with my hair what he will... and I'm never disappointed.
The entire staff is friendly and more than willing to help. Their hair and beauty products are, for me, like a kid in a candy store. No products are ever pushed, but if you have questions about anything, they'll direct you to the product(s) that meet your needs.
I guess this is a fan letter to my favorite Salon. The spa is another wonderful experience. Let me tell you about that next time!

Depending on what my schedule is like, ill go to the Down Town location for Mitch or the Williamsville location for Dan. Both of my boys take care of me and i always feel beautiful when i leave... I had been going to Capello for several years. I loved my stylist, and I even visited and continued to have my hair done at Capello after I moved away! However, when my sister and her wedding party chose to have their hair done at Capello, the treatment was terrible. My stylist switched me to someone else without even a phone call to tell me. Thankfully, the woman who did my hair was fantastic, and I did feel beautiful afterward. Apparently, my usual stylist was angry that my sister had not chosen her as her bridal stylist, and she decided to use this unprofessional manner to teach us a lesson. Moreover, another stylist actually told my sister she was "weird" because she did not choose my stylist to do her updo. Can you say petty and immature? The truth was, my sister did not care for my stylist's work. Everyone has their own taste. Finally, when we explained to the owner how badly we had been treated, on what should have been the happiest day of my sister's life, he dismissed us and our concerns, immediately. We had to chase him all over the salon for a good 20 minutes before he would even speak to us to begin with. I understand he runs a hectic business, but rudely ignoring (or fearfully avoiding...) your customers after your employees have treated them like second-class citizens is not wise. I guess the moral of the story is, you may leave Capello with a nice cut (for a heafty price), but you better be sure to stroke their sensitive ego.

Thanks to the receptionist who took the time to help me! Two minutes after I checked in for my appointment my stylist was ready for me. No wait! Seriously, the staff is great. The cut is great. I researched spas around the area to take my bridal party to get all of our nails done the day before my wedding and finally decided that Capello sounded good... I called and booked an appointment a little over a week in advance for 6 of us and was told I would be sent a contract after I gave them my credit card number to hold my appointment. The day of the appointment, I called a few hours before to make sure we were all set because I never received a contract. After the woman on the phone fumbled around for a minute, she told me that they had booked my appointment for the following day, MY WEDDING DAY, and that it wasn't their fault because we didn't have a contract. I was VERY upset and told her she needed to fix it, as my girls were already on their way in from Rochester, over an hour away. She said "let me call our other locations," and as I asked her if she needed my phone number, she hung up on me. She called back 20 minutes later to say, "Well, all 3 of our locations are booked solid, but we can get you in tomorrow at 1 still." "No, my wedding is tomorrow. What am I supposed to do TODAY?" "The best I can offer you is a gift certificate for the next time you book a party with us." No, I will NEVER book ANYTHING with them again because of the mess they created for me a few hours before my wedding rehearsal and a day before my wedding. It was unnecessary stress, and now I want to make sure all of you know NOT to go to Capello... AWFUL AWFUL EXPERIENCE!

I always feel better after my visit to Capello's. I've been getting my hair cut there for the past two year and I'm never disappointed. The front desk staff is friendly and always smiling. It can be tough to park, but I still manage to find a spot even during the peak hours.

She honors my wishes, but is not afraid to make suggestions either. I have received many compliments on my hair over the years, and emphatically recommend Capello in general and Chelsea in particular. When my sister came "home" for her wedding several years ago, I booked appointments for her, my daughter and myself, all with Chelsea, and we each came out very happy! My sister moved back to Western New York several years ago and has been seeing Chelsea ever since.
Skill aside, I feel I must mention Chelsea's professionalism. She is a worldly young woman, a pleasure to talk with, and she refrains from gossip- which I truly appreciate.

I decided to try Capello based on fairly good reviews, however I have been EXTREMELY dissatisfied on the two occasions I've been and will never return. Both occasions I've been there I've had to wait at least 20 min. past the scheduled appt. time. My first experience was very rushed because my hair stylist was double booked and decided to complain about it the entire time she did my hair. I decided to give it a second chance and shame on me. I got my hair dyed and although I'm happy with the color, I'm not so happy with it being all over my face and neck. When I was getting washed out, I got squirted in the face 3 times by the incompetent girl who didn't even remotely get the dye out of my hair. After going for a second wash out (which was a shot of water to the back of my neck) they still didn't get the dye out. I then had to sit through a blow out with a girl who seemed like she didn't have a clue what she was doing, while watching the other hair stylists oogle over themselves in the mirror. Hands down, the most unprofessional, dissatisfying service I have ever experienced. I would rather go to Supercuts.

I had gone to this salon for over a year but always had a single process color which anyone can do from a box. I had wanted to lighten my hair and maybe add highlights and figure a salon of this caliber could handle that. I walked out with orange hair, a burned scalp and hair dye on my forehead. I called the next day and was offered a re do but was scheduled by the receptionist with the same stylist. Needless to say, I left again with orange hair. I tried giving it a few days to tone down, and when that didn't happen I called and asked for a refund rather than a third redo for fear my hair would fall out. Right from the get go the manager made it out to be my problem not hers. She told me I shouldn't have gone back to the same stylist ( the receptionist placed me with her I DID NOT request her), and that unless the necessary paper work was previously filled out there was nothing they could do because it would be " too complicated" to give me a refund. The manager obviously doesn't care about the client's satisfaction and has horrible public relations because I always had to call her, and eventually she wouldn't even answer when I called. When I finally reached her she then said she couldn't offer a refund because they couldn't prove something went wrong and compared it to "eating food and getting sick but not knowing what food caused it" completely oblivious to the fact it was a horrible service done twice, which any other business would refund including a restaurant.Obviously Sam isn't professional, nor is she capable of handling business when things go wrong, so if you go here and they completely ruin your hair, good luck with getting any sort of reimbursement back . The best I can say is go somewhere else where the manager can handle business professionally and efficiently, or else have a 200 dollar regret like I do.

I went to Capello's with high expectations and was very disappointed. The stylist came highly recommended, but did a very poor job on my hair. The cut was o.k., but the color was terrible. I have light brown hair with highlights and wanted to go a little lighter. The color came out reddish and brassy, and there were visible demarcation lines from the foils. The stylist seemed to have used 3 different colors with no rhyme or reason. He also was working on 3 clients at once and it took almost 4 hours. Additionally, he seemed more interested in discussing his personal life and partying with the stylist next to him. I paid $170 and felt ripped off. He does have a receding hairline, but this "stylist" combed all of his hair forward and cut it straight across and plastered down a set of bangs ala Jim Carey in Dumb and Dumber (even though Mike has VERY curly hair). It looked so bad that he walked over to my chair to ask my opinion (my family owns a salon in another city, so I kinda have an idea about what I'm doing). I trimmed it up and restyled it and sent Mike back. The "stylist" put a few last minute touches on it, and then charged him full price after I RE-CUT his hair in the damn salon. I went back another time, and the haircut was from a different woman. After washing it the next day, I saw how uneven it was. I called and asked for a re-cut. I was told no. I called back and asked to speak to a manager. I was then told I could come back maybe next week during the day when it was slow and they had an opening. I am a physician, and I certainly was not going to cancel my patients or their surgeries to come get a hair cut. I explained this, so they put the owner on the phone. I went in the next day, and he did trim it up himself and made it more reasonable, but not great. No charge for the re-cut but no refund either. I would NEVER go back.

Capello's is a good salon. Kelly, their lead stylist, is consistently good. It's hit-or-miss with the other stylists and Kelly's assistants. Kelly has a flair with the shears and with color applications. She has style and is good at figuring out what a customer wants and what will look good on a customer. I've also had good manicures at Capello's.

Warning: It's expensive. Kelly's worth the $$$$ but I don't think the other stylists are. Also, it's usually quite busy--hence, personal attention is sorely missing.

My hair was cut in ten minutes and not styled. The other employees asked me if I was getting my hair done, AFTER it had been cut : ( I was supposed to get a meal with my day spa package and received a sub !!!! You have GOT to be kidding!!!!!!! Yes this REALLY happened. I was rushed from one station to the next with the exception of the facial. They made me feel like a homeless person that they were "helping out". My poor family was so excited when I returned I didn't have the heart to tell them is was an awful experience. I just smiled and said thank you for such a lovely gift.

Great experience and happy with the result. I don't mind paying a bit more for this kind of treatment. Much better than many of the area salons. We are going to try the spa in the future and can't wait. I just had a mens cut but was made to feel very comfortable. Would recommend them to friends.
