Bao is located in Amherst, conveniently in a plaza with ample parking. This store takes after the many Chinese bakeries in New York City (as they are owned and ran by people from New York City- Gil, Mel and the rest). For those who are foreign to what a "Bao" is, it is type of bun or bread-like item in Chinese cuisine. It can be filled with meat and/or vegetarian fillings, as well as other possibilities. It can be eaten at any meal in Chinese culture, and is often eaten for breakfast (taken from Wikipedia). This is the ONLY bakery in Buffalo that you are able to get it from. The selection of Bao's may be limited, but it also is the ONLY. Bao serves a variety of Bubble Tea drinks with the ability to customize your own. Prices are extremely wallet friendly! I am only rating it at 4 stars because I am comparing it to the Chinese Bakeries in New York City. I would rate it a 5 if that were not the case.
