At Salon

I've been coloring my hair for years (single + highlights) and there is no better feeling than when you find a perfect colorist. I've been to MIngle a few times and have NEVER been disappointed. My gal is Sheila. You'll get exactly the color you desire from a smart, caring, sweet colorist. The entire salon and staff is just lovely.

I created an account here on City Search because I had to write about how great this salon is! So far I've been there about 3 times, and I have no complaints. I live on the Upper West Side and go to school in Chelsea, and I've tried every upscale salon I could find an appointment for -- then one day I walked in and wondered if anyone could do my hair. Half an hour later (every other salon takes 45+ min), my long, curly hair was straight without the use of a flat iron, and I felt so good about myself that I literally walked for hours around the city. I felt like going back home would be doing a disservice to how well Venera did my hair! So far I've also seen Natasha, and they've both done great jobs. The staff there is so friendly, and the prices are a miracle compared to what else I've paid. ($47 for long hair blowout)

After I had been going for facial and wax service in J. Scott Salon for long time, they stopped having these services last week, so I had to find out any other good place in the area and through citysearch I found At Salon. I was there few days ago after having an appointment for facial and wax. The place was very clean, nice waiting area, coffee, tea, water, soda and a lot of snacks and pastries available with very nice staff treat you with personal attention and hospitality. The appointment started on time I was a little early, the treatment room was very private and the esthetician was well knowledgeable with her stuff, she started with the facial French Company Protocol and products and then again she did my wax service and for the first time in my life I did not feel even any little pain as usual in waxing procedure, I think the wax quality which is French made also or the oil and lotion used on the skin before and after wax. I enjoyed the service, I got what I need and I think I found my new cozy place around the corner, I am very happy and I do recommend this salon for all of you. I forget to tell you they offer 20% off on the first time and their prices are very moderate. Thanks

I went there and it was the best color and haircut Ive had in years.
I had a lot of compliments for the first time ever about my hair from family and friends.
The salon is well organized, the staff is very friendly and the price is convenient.
For sure I will be back and recommend the salon to my friends and all of you.

After I read most of the reviews about some beauty salons around me in Citysearch and other similar website like Spagirl to find out about the permanent Japanese straightening and after I contacted many salons I decided to go with At Salon & Beyond they asked me first to come for a complemantary consultation before anything, I went for one and the stylist checking and rechecking my hair in a meticulous manner and then she told me about all the procedure which I never did it before , about the time need it and the price which was convenient for a beauty salon in the upper west side with a 20% off for first time client and special 5% off extra for the Japanese straightening so I had a good bargain and I made an appointment the permanent Japanese hair-straightening which also called Bio.Ionic System.
During my treatment the staff repeatedly offered me coffee, tea and fresh-baked cookies, later pizza was delivered and the staff fed everyone lunch. The reading material was great with some available computer around for clients with internet access so I did not feel bored with almost 5 hours service procedure. My stylist was a perfectionist so I knew I was in good hands and would walk out looking beautiful, after the treatment I got a hair cut with another professional stylist listened to me and suggested something else and then finally she did what I felt it was great for my face, hair and shape. Before leaving a friendly customer receiving a manicure started chatting with me about how beautiful and nice my hair look and another customer stopped me on the way to the front desk to pay and ask me about what I did for my hair to look like that. I was pleased with the entire experience and will definitely return for other salon treatments. Trust me go there and try them out, just dont forget to tell them Jo sent me! Best Wishes
