My family went to the Buffalo zoo free with our memebership from Seneca Park Zoo. We had lots of fun exploring the larger zoo we are not used to. Its clean, the staff is friendly and always around to answer questions. The giraffe building and elephant exhibit are excellent. Especially the giraffe feeding during the summertime. My children love the carousel, and the gift shop. You can spend a few hours at the zoo and then have a wonderful picnic in the park just outside. There is a short walk from the parking lot which fills up fast on busy days. The new hours are a dissapointment.

Before Donna Fernandes took over, the zoo was in terrible condition. She's really turned it around with new exhibits--sea lions, river otters, endangered animals, and reptiles. It's a small zoo (not a destination zoo like TO or Cleveland) but I like it like that. We can go through the entire zoo in under 3 hours and be home for naptime. Our favorite is "Bathtime with Buki" the elephant. Beware of parking though--lots of break ins both in the lot and in the park. Overall, Thumbs up!

The Zoo is coming back! They are working very hard to bring back the charm and attraction to the Zoo. They just opened the seal attraction and while it'snice, it's still going to take time for training the seals but I'm sure it will be well worth the wait! The elephants are hysterical to watch! They are a MUST SEE!!!

PROS: So many improvements going on!
CONS: Parking can be rough on busy days
