Honest, polite, courteous, and FAST. These guys couldn't be any better. PLUS they have an adorable parakeet in the waiting area that talks.

Everyone needs to know this place has been under new ownership for a couple of years and really trying to change some of the "negatives" that the old owner caused people to feel. Reliability, service, honesty, friendly - it's all there. If you're looking at older reviews please don't pay attention to them. Wow what a difference since new ownership/management. The staff there is great and the techs really know their stuff! I'd recommend anyone. In fact I have. And they are not anymore expensive then anyone else. Have you been to the "quick lube" places? The others bang you for everything. If Ireland Corners recommends you need something, I'd listen.

My car needed an inspection and I saw they had a sign up saying no appointment necessary. I had to wait 3 hours to have the inspection done. I left some loose change in my car and the tech stole it. I expected the inspection to cost the usual $21.00. I work on my car myself and know what's what with it, and they stuck me with wipers which I did not need, and attempted to remove a wheelcover from my car to redo the front brakes which were not necessary. All in all it cost me around $60, likely twice that if they tackled the brakes, and half a work day for me. If that wasn't enough the wheelcover they tried to remove popped off and was lost when I drove away. I do NOT recommend this shop. Sure it looks nice from the outside and has a fancy waiting room but don't be fooled, as a shop they're lousy, dishonest and expensive.

We brought our car into them in 2002 when we first purchased it used. A year later we had racked up $6,000 worth of repairs, including 2 timing belts! One time they put in all new tires but forgot all the lug bolts. Another time they supposedly replaced brake pads, rotors but we found later it had never been done. I had a notebook of all the repairs they had done to car (2 inches thick) in that one year. Asked to see the owner, then showed him the book of repairs and I said either this car is a lemon or you are crooks, which is it? He said the car was not a lemon, so what do you conclude from that? Now we go to Erichsens and are extremely happy with their work and honesty. Sure Ireland Corners has a lovely waiting room and complimentary coffee but $6,000 would buy a lifetime of java.

I recently bought an AWD SUV from Ireland Corners. I got a good deal on it, and I'd heard they have a good reputation, so I didn't hesitate purchasing it there. Since then, it's been nothing but hassle. The first day I drove the car, it was pulling to the right, so I took it to my nearby STS to have a simple alignment done. They looked at the tires, and apparently the rear tires were severely warped, so bad that they said it should not have legally passed inspection. But yet, the day before, Ireland Corners had charged me for an inspection and said it passed just fine! Apparently, they put new tires on the front but not the back, so the treads were extremely uneven. I called IC to address this, and they basically told me I had no idea what I was talking about and nothing was wrong. After that, I decided I wouldn't trust them to do properly fix the problem, so I had to take it elsewhere. $600 later I had new tires and a properly aligned vehicle. Now today I get a phone call from them saying they are having trouble processing my registration (three weeks after I purchased the vehicle, and they still haven't taken care of my registration). Even filling out paperwork with them was a hassle, and they seemed to have no idea what they were doing. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because they are nice people, I will give them that. The atmosphere is nice and they are very friendly, but I wouldn't trust them with my vehicle. Definitely do not recommend.

Comfortable atmosphere for waiting - coffee, couches, play area for kids. As for the mechanical portion. I as a woman don't feel comfortable taking my car in. I think they are always finding something wrong. My husband deals with them and he likes them very much. He doesn't get over sold like I tend to. The staff is very friendly and polite. Just be sure you stand your ground with them. They do good work over all.

Brought in my 2005 car for an inspection. They insisted that I need new tires (that is true) AND get this, new brakes! Rotors, pads, the whole thing. "Really worn out pads, you are lucky we caught it. Rotors are made so badly now that you have to replace them every time you change the pads" The total added up to exactly $1000.00 - 560 for tires (tiny Scion B tires) and 440 for brakes.
Given the scary brake story, they fully expected that we leave the car with them and were very surprised that we left.
Needless to say, the car does not need new brakes at all.
These guys are SCAM ARTISTS. Avoid at all cost.

They used to be the best local area garage. After the yexpanded they have become way too impersonal and way too expensive. I personally dont trust the owner. He sold me a used car and made lots of promises that never came to pass.

Hey guys, wheres the manual for my car? Ive been waiting two years now.

PROS: Free coffee while you wait... that's it
CONS: expensive and impersonal

That what locals call the place. If you've got to wait around for your car to be serviced, this is the place. Waiting area is comfy as a living room: couches, fire place, friendly dog, free coffee and bagels, kids play area and current newspaper and mags. Service is very professional and I've had mostly good experiences here. I say mostly because the last time I had some major work done it did turn out to be more extensive and expensive than they said upfront. I don't doubt that the work needed to be done, but I felt they could have been more honest with me about cost so I wouldn't have been so shocked. That said, they still seem to be more reputible than most and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for tune-ups, oil changes, new tires, etc., all of which I've had done.

PROS: Comfortable waiting area, professional attitudes
CONS: You'll pay a little more for above; they could do better estimating cost
