Strauss Discount Auto

I went to change oil and the mechanic suggests to change serpentine belt. I ask how long it will take (I'm on rush) and he states 15mins - I unfortunately agreed to do it. After 5hrs and god only knows how many attempts to put it in place I find air filter cover OPEN in the car standing as done in the lot!!!

Other examples:
1. Employee took a car to change oil on the way home and service overfills the engine. Strauss is being asked to remove the excessive amount of oil from engine - charged $50, but never did the work. Engine stays overfilled.
2. Strauss is being asked to change rotors in the car being bautifully sound except for little weak brakes. Effect: brakes are done, but wheels alignment is completely lost.
3. They are being asked to check for anitifreeze leak. Statement after 3hrs: 'go to the dealer', price: $50. Dealer finds leak within 10mins for no charge.

The written warranty they give you may put into garbage. You may return the car to fix, but they will find 22 new things to be fixed or will state that mechanical problem you experience is not due to their work (e.g. brakes at No. 2). Or better, they will keep fixing not broken things...

PROS: pretty cheap to do simplest work
