This place offers very good menue. The soups are really good. The one thing that bothered me was the higher price of the food then other Chinese restaurants. Other then that highly recommended.

I got the noodles with chicken & dumplings for take out. The dumplings had no flavor & the chicken was cut up into small pieces, but the bones & cartilage hadn't been removed. It took me 15 minutes just to pick out all of the bits of bone.

I went into this restaurant for the first time to check it out as I'd recently moved into the neighborhood and wanted to check out the local eating scene. I wasn't very hungry, so I ordered a quick snack - vegetable soup and water. At the time, the waitress didn't make any complaint about my small meal. My food came quickly and I was quite content with my basic soup of veggies. As I was eating, I was thinking, "I'm going to be a regular here." When I finished the waitress came and dropped the bill on the table. I put the money on the plate and waited to see if the waitress would come back so that I could get some change in order to leave her a tip. She never came back, never said "thanks", "see ya", "have a good day", nor any of the normal acknowledgements that waiters tend to give. I attempted to flag her gently by saying "Excuse me." She ignored me. She looked at me and then looked away. When I tried for the second time, the waitress walks by me quickly in passing, with a grimaced face, "Next time for dine-in, you must spend at least $5!!" Boy, was I caught off guard! I went to the "manager" to try to understand the problem and let them know that I would've happily complied had they told me about the "minimum $5 dine-in purchase" before the bill had come. Yet, it did no good; she behaved worse than the waitress and just kept repeating herself loudly over and over again. Never had a heard such a thing in my life. It cancelled the dinner that I'd planned to have there that night and my intentions of bringing my out-of-town friends to this place forever. I can try a place with bad food twice, but one with ungrateful, nasty attitudes will only get my money ONCE!

These folks are my default go-to generic Chinese place. Admittedly, the food is nothing special but in my experience it is generally very consistent and reliable. However, when they are very busy, the quality does sometimes drop off a little, but I have never gotten anything significantly unappetizing or inedible. If I need food (badly) and can't bother to think any further, Mee is the place I call.

In particular, I think the Moo Shu Pork, Curry Chicken in Noodle Soup and Roast Pork are quite decent. They also have some specialty items like Chinese Sausage and Tender Steamed Egg dishes. And the best part? They are dirt cheap and arrive insanely fast. Now, it is true that I live within a few blocks, but I have timed them at under 8 minutes on some occasions - quick enough to make my head spin - and they have never taken more than 15-20 minutes max to arrive. And with their use of the computerized record-keeping system, ordering is a snap once I give my phone number.

Pros: Unbelievably fast delivery, reliable, cheap and competent

Cons: Unremarkable generic Chinese food, not much atmosphere if you eat there

I ordered the simplest of meals: chicken broccoli & steamed pork dumplings. The chicken and the broccoli were tough, and the dumplings were tasteless with thick gloppy dough. Do yourself a favor, go to Westside Cottage II just down 9th avenue.

I eat here for lunch. The specials are inexpensive and come with rice, soup or egg roll, and if you eat there, you get tea. It is small and quaint, and the staff is friendly and quick.

Its not so touristy that one might run away in fear, but the food is solid just like their prices and super fast delivery. The actual restaurant itself is not bad but beware of their bathrooms (wink).

MEE noodle shop is a authentic Chinese way of eating place. With the base of your meal set you can add change and personalize your dish to your exact specifications. Delivery is lightening quick, everything is piping hot or ice cold which ever it should be. Food is always fresh and delicious. You CANNOT go wrong with MEE

I trek up to Mee's from Brooklyn JUST for the curry soup. I curse the other locations for not having it on their menus.

We order from Mee once a week, sometimes more. The food is very good for non-Chinatown cuisine. Delivery is usually quick and they hardly ever mess up an order. The Sesame Chicken Special, Capital White Meat Chicken with Black Mushrooms and Ma Po Tofu are my three favorite non-noodle dishes. Overall, Mee is cheap, good and reliable - what else could you want from Chinese takeout?

Good place to go for soup, maybe the best i have had. A tad pricy as compared to other chinese restaurants. Very friendly service, and very good food.

This noodle shop offers good-value, tasty Chinese food as an alternative for those who don't want to make the trek to Chinatown. Reasonable prices and the quick delivery, too!

I've been eating at Mee's for a year, if you're going there and have high expectations, i suggest a little bit of everything soup, or noodles with peking meat sauce. If you want something cheap and delicious, yet very very filling, i recommend a carton of plain rice, and a serving of sesame wontons. Ask for a large plain container aswell. Dump rice into large container, sesame dumplings, and wow.. what a meal for a little over 3 dollars. ;-)

I tried this place last night based on the two other reviews posted.

You'd be wise to steer clear. Delivery took over an hour, and the food was quite possibly the worst Chinese I've ever had in NYC. They couldn't even do steamed chicken right, as it was grizzly and fatty.

There isn't a price low enough to justify eating here.

I've been in NYC for 3 years and this is the single BEST delivery food I've found! Great taste - great helpings, fantastic prices and they will customize my curry chicken by adding or removing anything (I like it with cashew nuts and hold the string beans). Try them out - they're great!
