I was in here last week and the place was great. Karaoke and beer pong were going all night. What more can you ask for a bar. This place is certainly one of my favorite places to grab drinks with co-workers after work. The happy hour is great and very affordable.

If you're looking to relive the glory days of trashy dive bars and beer pong then this place is for you. If you like good drinks and an enjoyable atmosphere then look elsewhere. I have never seen such a small martini glass in my life or had a drink that tasted so much like cough syrup. There are some things about college I don't miss.

This is my favorite new find in NYC!!! I have never written a review on Citysearch until now but this place was just too much fun not to tell everyone about it. I was walking down Bleecker with two friends trying to waste some time before going to a party, and they heard "live music and $7 pitchers" from the host at the door. We went in and were blown away by the live band they had playing. The whole atmosphere was very laid-back and fun (not to mention the awesome pirate-themed decor). Parties were mixing, everyone was talking to each other, just good vibes all around. I cannot wait to go back for more good music and good drinks!

been coming here for a little over 3 years now, love the place. it definitely gets more crowded here than before! the drinks are cheap and good, the staff is super friendly i love everyone there!

I've been goin here for only about 4 months now and it seems as if I've been coming here 4 eva...There ahs neva been a boring time at Wicked Willy's...Besides, when it comes to karoake nite, I'm known for keeping the spark goin there...Ladies are nice, everyone enjoys themselves...and the DJs [like Tyler] always know how to keep the place rockin'...U might just c me there 2-nite...me and my boy usually des r-n-b classics like the temptations and stuff...we always have a good time!!!ALWAYS!!!

Wicked Willy's is a great location for inexpensive drinks with friends and great music. Whiskey Bravo is a hard rock band deeply influenced by modern life, and the drastic global climate. The heavy hitting riffs, and progressions, reminiscent of super bands like motor head, and deep purple, fuel the agitated, forewarning, lyrical content found in Dillon's work, coupled to a sincere heartfelt rage against the machine.

I reserved the front room for my 25th birthday party and that was easy enough. A friend brought cupcakes which they had no problem keeping in the fridge. The music was awesome, the space was chill and the party was a ridiculous good time. The area i had was 110% under control by everyone there, only letting in my party. The place got packed and we were all comfortable in our plush seats and we had our personal server. Stacey (mngr) was very attentive as well as the doorman (Randy) and bouncer for the front room AND Andy! I'd been here before and I'll definitely be back for another party! All my guests were happy and had a great time, no complaints. If you're organized and can manage to preplan your party it'll be well worth the effort!

great place to hang around on bleeker...great drink,live band,,,i ll stop going there if the Dj is fired....he is the best i ever heard of....you guys need some afrobeat in there...in case you dont know what afrobeat is..check local afrobeat band in ny.te place will be packed...make it a weekend affair and Wicked willy's will rock african style...i love the reggae band you featured last time...great to be there

I felt like I was back in my college years at Wicked Willy?s. The bouncer lured us in with the promise of free shots. (Little did he know, the promise of karaoke was enough). It was a huge bar and on this night, it was packed. We crept to the back for a view of the stage. Some kids played Beer Pong behind us and it the shots seemed to be continually flowing! I did appreciate the light-heartedness of this watering hole.

Went on a saturday night, and it was fun! good dj, cheap drinks for ladies, what else do ya need? Felt like back on vacay because of the scenery inside. Recommend! Fun times in the village will go back!

We went on a Thursday night and the place was busy but not packed. It was crowded in the front but quiet roomy and nice in the back. Almost like two different places. I paid 5 bucks for sam addams and was happy with that. The girls we were with walked in and were singing almost right away, which is unheard of for karaoke in this town. Normally you have to wait at least 30 minutes. The other patrons were young but cool. Didnt spot too many amateurs. I would go back with just the crew, or a date.

Great bands and DJ's, something is going on every night. The owner is a gentleman and knows how to be a great host. Always fun and not and not a rip off for drinks. Guaranteed you will have lost your voice from singing and laughing so much with your friends by the end of the night!!

crazy how rude they were to girls!!!!! so disrespectful!!! these hot girls wanted to sing and the guy in charge was so rude!!!!!!!!!!! I dont understand if three beautiful girls want to sing and the totally disrespect them and bash them and cross them off the list! then continues to announce that they should not sing and that it was not his fault. He was an ignorant gay man who thought he was so much better than everyone else. I don't think anyone should be treated this way. you pay a lot of money to go out and have a good time and some people really know how to ruin it!!! i would not recommend anyone to go here!!! it is such a drama messed up place. i have never met people that are so rude and treat girls with such disrespect!! it makes you so sick!

I was there for the Beer and just relax after work with my friends.We were talking when a band started playing and was crazy.Man that guy is INSANE and I hope to see them again. I don't remember the name but the guitarist has the Most BIG afro hair in the world and I spoke to him on the end WOW. Great band great music.The bar was great and clean for such a busy bar,bathroom could be better and clean,but is OK.The Bouncer is Ok but has an attitude. When some one goes outside to talk on the phone and come back , he shouldn't give such an attitude to come back in.We love it. I will go back there again, great live music and great DJ..love it.

I wanted to thank Wicked Willy's for everything you had done for my party this past weekend. It was a great night. I'm glad I chose to come to Wicked Willy's, you really did a great job. All of my friends had a great time, I didn't hear any complaints, just compliments. Be sure to thank my waitress as well (forgot her name), she was great and I hope she felt she was well compensated for her efforts. I'll be back sometime soon anyway. Thanks again!

I recently went to Wicked Willy's for my birthday party this past weekend and couldn't have had a better time. The bartenders were great, the drinks were fairly priced and the atmosphere was great, everyone looked to be having a great time. They have a beer pong table for those who like to get competitive while they drink haha. Cannot wait to go back! Thank you Wicked Willy's for a great birthday!

I was at Wicked Willy's for the first time last night and it compelled me to write the first review I've ever done on Citysearch. This bar was GREAT! The staff was very friendly, the drink specials were excellent--with a Happy Hour that goes til 9pm. That's so clutch for people who typically can't get out of work in time to enjoy a regular happy hour that ends at 7pm or somesuch. They have tempting beer pong tables (plural) and two karaoke nights for which I'll undoubtedly be back with co-workers. They showed playoff basketball and several other sporting events on multiple, good-sized flatscreens all around the bar that were easy to view from all seats. The best part was the live music schedule. Admittedly I went to see a band I knew (Visible From Space), so I enjoyed it but can also say the staging and sound are very good at Willy's and I stayed for a singer-songwriter and another full band after that. The A/C was also in excellent shape and there is a cool seating area in front by the windows that I hope to reserve next time. All in all, no complaints. People seem to dislike the bouncer here but I thought all the door guys were friendly. Then again, I wasn't unruly and underaged...

This place was really cool. I went there for a friend's birthday. She rented out the back area and as far as I'm concerned everything was great. Bartenders cam to you for drink orders and were never overbearing and came back timely. I got offered a jello shot once more than I would have liked but it truly was not a big deal. They were nice too, just doing they're job. The drinks were cheap and STRONG! I was pretty drunk after only a red devil and a mudslide (both of which I've paid up to -->>$14<-- for at your typical club) were only $8!! The absolute best part? THE MUSIC!!! The DJ was absolutely phenomenal for a saturday nite. Didn't hear a single song I didn't like or sing along to. That was truly the best part of this place. Great music, great atmosphere, and we only paid $5 at the door. Would definitely frequent this place for a guaranteed great time!

I was looking for a place to celebrate my birthday with some friends on a Saturday night, but I didn't want to rent a private room. I almost didn't even consider Wicked Willy's because they didn't have a regular website and when I called them, I got forwarded to a voicemail that was full. Good thing I decided to go anyway! The band was awesome, and when they finished, the DJ started spinning. Meanwhile, we had a great time dancing and playing beer pong with others who were all very friendly. The place was crowded, but not so crowded that we couldn't move. The drinks weren't too expensive either. In short, it was everything I was looking for! If I had to be critical about something (aside from the difficulty reaching them), I'd probably say that the DJ could've mixed in a little more recent Top 40 stuff along with the old school (which I loved), but that's just a personal preference. It was still awesome!!!

The staff was fantastic - they have friendly bar tenders, a great dj and hands-on management. Its the perfect place to throw a party. There are two rooms including karaoke and beer pong, plus they have good drink specials and you can bring in food. The most fun I've had at a bar in a long time. I loved it!

Best happy hour I've seen in a long time!!! $3 draft beers, $4 Jameson...great deals for the after work crowd. The music was good with a nice variety. At 8pm, as happy hour ended the scene shifted from a friendly bartender with great music to an obtrusive bouncer with nauseating pop tunes. The bouncer was extremely confrontational with my other friends who joined our small group inside. Not sure the great drink prices are worth the attitude at the door. If you decide to check out the cheap drinks, plan on coming before 8pm!

so, i've gone here a couple of times, and honestly they have GREAT deals, and awesome music...but at 8pm the balding "tough man in dreads wearing shades" starts hounding the door...especially if your ID isn't from NY. You could have been in there for 3 hrs before, and he could have seen you sitting there, drinking, ordering or whatever...once you step outside (even just to talk outside to talk on the phone so you can get away from the LOUD AND BAD music that start playing at 8) he's on you like doo-doo on the toiletbowl...and when he sees that your ID is from out of state (my poor friend moved here two years ago from Cali, and she lost her ID a few days before we went there and had been subbing in her old Cali ID till she got a new one) he plays like he's better than you, cuz you're just a "tourist" visiting a "cool" place in the village...well, too bad he doesn't know that some of us that love going out to awesome bars don't like (and don't like our friends) to get treated badly by a bouncer who thinks he's hot stuff. But since I've been back there, I walk right past anytime I plan on going in and I see the BALDING GUY WITH SHOULDERLENGTH DREADS (no matter how much i've been talking the place up and no matter how many ppl i've got in tow with me). Instead we head to other places. Anyway, go there, drink cheap, and LEAVE. but if you see "him", walk right by...b/c the stuff you'll have to deal with isn't going to be worth it...like my friend who went outside to talk on her phone, he saw her sitting with us and he saw her leave to talk, and he almost didn't let her back in because she didn't have her ID on her...because her ID was in her bag which was with us at the table...and we were sitting right next to him, and he wouldn't let her even go to get it...great drinks, lazy bouncers...

This was a great place to meet people after work. They don't serve food but were cool about letting us bring stuff in. They even offered take out menus. It's a surprisingly large space with specific areas for bands and beer pong. I was there for Karaoke night and it was a lot of fun for everyone. The crowd there is friendly and it's very easy to meet new people.

I went to this place about three times. They have awesome karaoke with great mc's that don't make you feel stupid while you are up there. People have always been relaxed and chill. Everyone who is there is out to have a great time and interact with people. They have a pool table and beer pong in the back, along with a bar toward the main entrance. Basically if you have a birthday coming up, just want to chill after work, or live it up with some great company this is the place to be. I highly recommend it!

P.S. you could order food from outside and eat there, what could be better!

This place is totally chill. No attitude. Mixed crowd. I've only been on Tuesdays when they have Karaoke and I've had a blast every time! There was cheap drink specials, always fun. (It makes getting the nerve to sing, easier.) Everyone is really supportive, no one's mean about the performers. It's a great neighborhood bar.

Invite your friends for the great happy hour specials, but don't invite too many!! Because if you do, the owner will decide that the bar is "too full" and end happy hour anytime he wants. I was there to see a friend's band and the bar was 1/3 full when happy hour was cut off 45 minutes early, without warning. When I questioned the bartender and mentioned the sign out front stating happy hour from 6-9p, I was told that the bar was too crowded and happy hour was over. What is that??? False advertising? Bait-and-switch? No thanks - the bar isn't worth full-priced drinks and I certainly won't be going back for happy hour.

Now it seems to have become a club? The drinks were cheap, it's got that going for it. But there were a LOT of incredibly young looking girls, stumbling around. In fact, they almost didn't let my guy friends in at all, because they said it was crowded but my girlfriends and I were cool. This vibe continued inside. The bouncers are really "handsy" and made me kind of uncomfortable. They kept hitting on us, and one of them brought us free appletinis. I was drinking hoegaarden. I would not suggest this bar to anyone who isn't either a creepy guy trying to find a young, drunk girl, or a young, drunk girl who doesn't mind getting her butt grabbed while standing on line for the dirty bathroom! Gross and creepy. Just go next door to the Red Lion.

I love this place. It's the hippest place I've found on Bleecker St. The drinks are cheap, the staff is super nice and friendly, and the DJ on the weekends is awesome. I love places that don't only play the current popular songs,and here, you can be sure that you will be dancing to "back in the day" hip hop, r&b, reggae, etc. as well as the current jams and reggeaton too. Love the fact that they have seating areas by the window, as well as the back (passing the pool table) in case you want to chill and sit for a bit (which will be hard to do with all the good music playing). They have karaoke on weekdays, live bands any day, and main events (like this weekend's big De La Hoya-Mayweather fight) on their many flat screens all over the place. I'm only commenting on weekends since I have not been on weekdays. Guys, do notice that unless you are properly dressed, you will not get in. So, if you are looking for a place to have a good time and show your dancing skills, I stronly recommend it.

Pros: Parking close by, no hassle at the door, great music and friendly staff.

I'm a bit biased because I worked in the Village for a few years and Wicked Willy's, which will always be ASYLUM to me, was our favorite after-work bar. Thankfully the atmosphere and drink prices didn't leave with the old name. The lounge area by the window is a great separate place to kick back if you can claim a couch. Drinks are strong and cheap as any place in the city. Even the karaoke is fun since it seems just about everybody in this place is hammered. By the way, Bleecker has a C in it!

I'm always telling my friends to meet me here, and this is why:

We ran across Wicked Willy's after an annoying experience at a nearby bar, my friends and I came in at the end of a set by a pretty cool band and stayed and danced once the DJ started spinning! I went back another time during the week and they were having karaoke, which was unexpected but lots of fun. Basically the atmosphere and drinks make it the perfect spot for any crowd.

Pros: Great Area, Great atmosphere, awesome bartenders.

Cons: You might loose track of time and stay longer than you planned.

I had a little trouble finding the place.My friends told me to meet them at Asylum but it took me a while to find it because they changed the name to Wicked Willy's.Other than being annoyed that I was late we had a great time.The beers were three bucks and I didn't have to wait an hour for each drink.I really like the overall vibe of this place.I guess you can say it's a kick back place with a pool table a beer pong.Over all this is a good village hang out.Next time i will have to go on karaoke night.Before i forget i wish the bartender would have been more friendly but i guess that's New York for you.
