Shoe palace has service and selection like no other! They will quickly bring out as many shoes as you ask for in your size and bend to feel the fit on your toes gladly. They have a huge selection with many styles and prices to fit all tastes and budgets. {"Sharon"...wrote (I don't know whether it's because there's no Macy's or any other major department store around this neighborhood that they feel the need to offer the shoes/boots at full price (cheapest I've seen was $78 and that was for the kids shoes!) and I swear they include the import fee for the shoes! } Not sure which Shoe Palace you were in that sells kids shoes, it's an exclusively Womens' shoe store. Also, I got myself pretty flats for 50 something bucks and my embellished jelly shoes $25. Perhaps you were in a different store. I chose Shoe Palace for world class service and selection. (I leave the dept.stores for those who like to shop in messes, with lack of personal service and hand picked selection.)

Shoe Palace has by far been the place to go to in Brooklyn for shoes. The staff knows what will work for you and unlike a previous review they are not pricey. There is a shoe for every price budget. The same shoe found in other stores are cheaper here. In addition they make sure the shoe fits and are proud of the products they sell.

Shoe Palace stocks VERY high quality merchandise directly from the manufacturers many of whom are high end European Boutique brands. Very unassuming store with a small amount (5-8) of workers but they know their stuff.

People don't come to Shoe Palace for discounts, they come here for shoes that they hope will last. They stock NEW (and some used) leather and suede boots and shoes for the whole family. All the name brands are here: Nine West, Stuart Weitzman, Prada, etc. that you would find in Neiman Marcus (and for the same or more too--at least Neiman's discounts some of their merchandise!)

I don't know whether it's because there's no Macy's or any other major department store around this neighborhood that they feel the need to offer the shoes/boots at full price (cheapest I've seen was $78 and that was for the kids shoes!) and I swear they include the import fee for the shoes! Pricey & can run you to $400+ (No it's NOT a typo). If you're having trouble finding a particular brand or model they will order it for you. Just be prepared to pay full price and over for that "privilege."

PROS: High Quality Shoes & Boots, Order Hard to Find Boots/Shoes
CONS: PRICEY Selection

Although they don't offer such a wide selection of types of shoes, the products sold in this store are of great quality. Maybe a little overpriced, but still affordable and very very worth it. Staff is decently friendly too.
