Wonderful upscale Spanish cuisine that provides enough variety for reasonable prices. Every time that we return there, we are pleasantly surprised.

My wife and I went for dinner at this restaurant and we did not feel like it was worth the amount of money we spent, the service was very dry and we felt like we were not welcome. The food was ok compared to other restaurants. The drinks were very good, the decor was nice and pretty but service is everything and this place gets a D.

I have been to Sonora restaurant quite a few times. It was one of our favorite spots, and we would go on special occasions. If I had based my review on those experiences I would not be giving the restaurant 1 star. I am however basing my review on my latest experience. We made a reservation at the restaurant, and when we arrived, and stated who we were and that we had a reservation, we were told by the manager who was helping host that evening that it would be a few minutes. We stood to the side and waited, and during our wait an older couple came in. As the Manager walked back towards us he looked at me, and I smiled and then he went over to the older couple and asked if he could help them. They said they would like a table for two, and he escorted them to a table! RIGHT BEFORE US! As he walked back, I was waiting at the podium and he said it would be about 5-10 more minutes. I said, we had a reservation, and he said (pretty much ignoring me) "yes I know". We proceeded to wait in the cold entryway without even being offered a drink from him to compensate. Clearly he gave the only open table, (OUR TABLE) to the older couple who didn't even have a reservation. After a total of 30 minutes, we finally decided to just leave. I went over to him and said, "We are leaving" (in an even tone), and he just smiled smugly and ignored me. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. We are a 30 year old professional couple, who has frequented this establishment and deserve just as much respect as any other patron, regardless of age. I am unsure if he felt they would BUY more, or what he was thinking? We will not be going to this restaurant again, as there are many great restaurants in the Westchester area. All of the wait staff puts this Manager and Maitre D to shame. He should be fired.

Pros: great food

Cons: terribly rude manager/host

The Santa Fe decor sets a relaxed and laid back feel that nicely contrasts with the vibrancy of the food. Try the degustacion de empanadas, a sampler trio of braised short ribs empanada with ginger and cilantro aioli, sirloin steak…
