A Buffalo staple! Great for a night out but maybe not a nice place to get lunch in the middle of the day, the food is greasy enough to only be a craving when you're drunk downtown.

I am addicted to the Frenchy steak sub at Jim's. I have driven from West Seneca to downtown Buffalo at all hours just for this sub. I have also gone Lancaster to Williamsville too. I can pass 20 other sub shops and none will work but Jim's . So worth traveling for. The best Sub.

Pros: people are friendly even putting up with the 4am drunks

Cons: not one in West Seneca

This is the perfect place to go after a night out on Cippewa. Its conveniently located by the bars, and it is the perfect food to eat after a little drinking. Their chicken finger subs are famous they are so good. There might be a little bit of a wait if you go around the times the bars are closing but it is worth the wait because the food is fantastic. They are also good any time of the day, but its especially covnenient to go there late because they are open until 5 and they are conveniently located. I'd highly recommend trying the food.

Many a great memory has usually ended - and sometimes begun - with a visit to Jim's Steakout for the infamous and fabulous chicken finger sub. A concotion born and bread from the city that loves to eat, Jim's chicken finger sub can be rivaled by no other in Buffalo or elsewhere. Having moved to, moved from, and returned to Buffalo, Jim's chicken finger sub is one of the reason why the "Queen City" is worth living in despite six months of cold, dreary weather each year. And for all those non-chicken finger subbers out there (sacrelig that you may be), Jim's offers great steak hoagies, chicken and veggie tacos, and world-altering (especially when we're talking drunk or hungover worlds) steak fries. Locations are conveniently scattered throughout the greater Buffalo area for your late night/early morning convenience, so you have no excuse not to try a chicken finger sub today!

Jim's Steak Out use to be my favorite place to go at 4:00a.m. after the bar's closed. They have the best steak hoagies in all Down Town Buffalo. I lived in Buffalo all my life until 2 yrs. ago I relocated to California. Looking forward to visiting Chippawa very soon.

ALL the times I've been there, it has been around 4:30 am. Always crowded during this time, be prepared for loud music, long lines, drunk people that look horrible under florescent lights, and Damn good fries. Great place to wind down a night of drinking, drinking, and more drinking.
