Packed like sardines, but wouldn't have it any other way. Best Italian food in NYC. Perfect date spot, doesn't take reservations so go about a half hour before you really want to sit.

Good food, great prices, great ambiance.

This is a great restaurant in the East Village. It's a small and laid back atmosphere. Great food and isn't too expensive. I recommend the lasagna.

A note to everyone: they take reservations if you are a group of 8 or more for early seating only (say 6PM). Don't even bother trying to head there with a big group unless its past 11PM and even then its still SO busy. And rightfully so, the pastas are delicious and the prices are unheard of in NY! The gramigna is by far the best dish in the house. It certainly looks like hamburger helper but the taste . . . . worth the wait for a table any day.

I became aware of this quaint little place from a friend who was visiting town. I was there last night for my third time and don't have one complaint. They don't take reservations so you may have to wait a little or not at all. If there is a wait you can wonder next store to the bar and grab a drink. Service is great because they do a perfect job of remembering everyone and their names. Food is fantastic, I had the Gnocchi while my date had the Ravioli. We ended up sharing because both dishes were fantastic. Check came and even though I have been here prior I was still shocked how affordable the pricing compared to how much you received. Great place for a date or just to grab a bite with some friends.

Been there quite a few times for dinner with my baby koala and its romantic, but busy with delicious, cheap food. Note that they only take cash but its worth every penny - No reservations accepted but Ive never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a table - Try the tuna salad and/or the salmon - lasagna is tasty too - I just made myself hungry...

I brought my wife here before a show at the 45 Bleecker St. Theatre, after a little research online, and it turned out to be the best Italian food we've probably ever had (at least, certainly the best we've had in NYC). The atmosphere feels like an family cottage, cozy, walls lined with old-fashioned decor. The servers were very attentive and our food was delivered to our table promptly. We began our meal with an appetizer of mussels, which came in generous portion, plump and creamy in a white wine and butter sauce. For our meals, my wife ordered the spaghetti and I, the gnocchi. Her dish was wonderfully simple; the homemade pasta was al dente (as it should be) coated with a tomato sauce, fresh basil, and rich olive oil. My gnocchi was nice and fluffy, topped with a gorgonzola alfredo sauce. I highly recommend both dishes. The meal left us extremely satisfied. What a bargain!

Typical Emilia-Romagnan cuisine, from the flash-fried parsley, to the wonderful fish and excellent salads, to the very nice desserts (like tarfufo). Best olive oil in town, very good (and simple) pasta dishes, the best spiedino di mare in NYC...you get the idea. A wonderful place overall.

I am a gnocchi snob and have searched up and down for the best gnocchi. Bianca's melt in your mouth, and the sauce is creamy and delicious. Plus, the price is downright affordable. I feel so lucky that Bianca's exists and it is my favourite restaurant in Manhattan.

BIANCA is a little tucked away secret. They don't take reservations so you better get there no later than 7:30 whihc is exactly what we did. It was THE BEST italian I have had out in a long while at this price. My husband and and I FEASTED for less than $70.00. You know the place is great when you talk about it a year later and still go back. Our meal would have been even cheaper if we knew that the portions were big enough to share. The place looks like an old Italian grandmas livingroom converted into a tiny restaurant with candle light, exposed brick. It's a bit cramped but adorable and the food is AMAZING for the money. It's a great place to TEST a date. If she loves it you know she's a keeper -- a person with depth and soul who can appreciate authenticity over a scene. The service is just as good as I have had at placed 3 times the price. Excellent VAlentine's Day choice - just get there very early. Line is out the door.

I was so impressed with this authentic Italian restaurant. The portions are huge, the service fast and friendly, and the prices are unheard of. In an area of pretentious and often underwhelming restaurant choices, Bianca was a refreshing change of pace. Extremely cozy, if not a little claustrophbic!

This is a great neighborhood restaurant where the food is very good, as is the service and atmosphere. There was a short wait when we arrived so we went next door to the bar for a drink. When a table became available, the man who greeted us at the restaurant came to the bar to let us know our table was ready. We had a nice bottle of wine recommended by our server and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The prices are great, too.

My boyfriend and I discovered this out-of-the-way, cash-only, cozy spot and have been reluctant to tell friends and family about it as we want it to remain our little secret! It's as close to perfect as I've found in Manhattan: romantic setting, friendly owner and wait staff, reasonably priced wine list and some of the best home-cooked Italian food I've ever had (I highly recommend the gnocci and the lasagna and the specials are often quite good). It's truly a hidden gem, and one I keep going back to at least twice a month even though it's not at all convenient to my work or home. It's just that worth it.

Went here for a friend's birthday--the staff was extremely accomodating: reservations for 10, kept her b-day cake cold, and then brought it out with candles. I'm a vegan---but all of my friends love their cheese, meats, & seafood and they thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Cute and Cozy.

The food was not particularly noteworthy, but I was happy to be there. Most entrees are $15 or less. The portions are huge -- neither my date or I could finish our portions. There's no bar, so expect to give your name and then have a drink at Voon next door or possibly at Manhatta. The decor is country-house charm, though there's one unfinished wall (of exposed brick), which needs some covering. The tables are too close together, but the crowd noise manages to create some privacy.

It can get a little cramped since the place is pretty small, otherwise it's extremely cosy. Remember, they don't accept credit cards.

This is a small Italian place in Noho. It does not take reservations however there is usually not a long wait as they try and get you in and out as fast as possible. Prices are very reasonable however they do not accept credit cards. The food is good although the portions are a little small. The staff is pretty friendly.

You eat very well at Bianca. It's a wonderful dining experience and perfect for a date (very romatic). Small place, very cozy - down to the tables.

Portions are healthy and prices are very reasonable. Great Filet Mignon and "gnochhi" with salami. Service is friendly. We plan to return soon.

Definitely a favorite for all the right reasons.

I have now had dinner at Bianca three times and my experience just keeps getting better and better. From the kind staff who managed to store all of our work bags and even 2 suitcases to the unbelievable meals, I could not be any happier. As an appetizer, you must start with the puff triangles with cheese - it is the best! I can't wait to bring more friends to Bianca. It is a perfect spot any night of the week. And there is a terrific wine bar next store for an after dinner drink.

Went there with a friend last week, and was delightfully surprised by the host's humor as he sat us... We were a bit chatty so it took us a while to decide what to order, but when we made it abundantly clear we were ready (closed the menu, looked around for our waiter) he was slammed from the recent filling of the space. We ended up placing our order with the host about 10 minutes later than we'd have liked to, but the host was, again, extremely kind. The food came quickly and my chicken was delicious, just seemed like they were a little understaffed for the night, or had a lot of people come in right after 8:00. Other than that, really cute, charming restaurant with a surprisingly good menu!

What a shame. The food's good, the prices are reasonable, the decor is pleasant. But the service ruined the experience.
I ordered the spaghetti and asked for mozzarella on top. The waiter refused repeatedly. The manager said sure, we'll just charge extra. Sure. The spaghetti came, not with mozzarella on top, but rather with a separate caprese salad, and they charged me $11 extra. I brought it up with the manager who didn't see the problem. He admitted I should have been told it would cost $11 extra for my "mozzarella on top" request but wouldn't do anything about it; he felt that our $40/person meals represented a good value so we shouldn't care. He cited the chef/owner's policies. Pathetic.

We just came back from Italy and wanted to compare "notes" on pasta - this place was highly recommended and had a rating of 9.4. Whereas this is a nice place with pleasant staff, the pasta was very mediocre. I guess they just don't really know how to make it as special as it is in Italy.

Very good overall. I chose this place because I wanted a small, dark, and intimate setting. Minus the host messing up and saying that he was going to get us at the bar next door when our table was ready... and never did, everything else went flawlessly. The service was very attentive, the food was good (minus the chicken liver) and although the restaurant is really noisy with everyone chatting away and the tables being so close to each other - the only conversation I could hear was the one I was having. I will definitely go back! Plus, the bar next door is very nice too.

We heard of Bianca from a New York email newsletter and decided to give it a try. We were promptly seated, and both commented on the feel of the restaurant. It's like being in an old Italian country kitchen. The waitress took our order right away, and the food was phenominal. The Gnocchi was the best we've ever had and the cream sauce was yummy, with just the right consistency. It had the best flavor. The pasta was so tender. We ordered the Tiramisu for dessert...it melts in your mouth. Hands down, the best we've ever had. The service was impeccable, very friendly and attentive wait staff. We would highly recommend Bianca to anyone, and definitely will dine there again. Absolutely excellent. Possibly one of the best restaurants we've ever eaten at.

Pros: inexpensive, nice atmosphere, awesome service

I took 2 friends earlier this week, and we were all impressed by the lovely atmosphere, friendly service and yummy food. The halibut special was a favorite, but I loved my tagliatelle bolognese, too. we'll definitely go back.

Thinking back on my dining experience at Bianca makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The waiters are courteous, they take care of you, they genuinely care about your experience...it was a revelation!

The gnocci was not great, but the tiramisu was TO DIE FOR! Seafood pasta was also very good.

Had an amazing dinner at Bianca on Saturday night. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the food was ridiculously delicious. Try the halibut special if it's available. Friendly service, great menu and reasonable prices. Would go back in a heartbeat.

After reading about Bianca in the Times, we decided to try it with a small group of friends. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. We waited in the bar next door and they came to get us once our table was ready. The staff was great, friendly and knowledgeable and the price can't be beat!

I saw the review of Bianca in the Times and decided to give it a try. We were plesantly surprised with this small restaurant tucked away on a little visited part of Bleeker Street. Staff was very friend, although a bit slow. The food was fantastic! Each of us had a different type of very fresh homemade pasta. The wine list was great also. Both food and wine were definately affordable, especially considering the quality. To top it off the host/owner remember my name as we were leaving. Definately give it a try!
