Daily News: "Don't worry about pronouncing it, just get there as quickly as possible. The New York Times: "Two things are required to truly appreciate Churrascaria Plataforma: a large appetite to keep you eating and a large group to cheer you on." New York Post: "It's a wonderful concept - the idea that you go and take as much as you want of various salads and eat as many meats as you can imagine..."

I came hungry and prepared to eat when I visited this restaurant. I enjoyed the food everything was great. The meats was delicious, the salad bar offered more than just salad it had past, sushi, and other stuff as well. This is a great over all experience worth the expense.

Buffet of Meat
by Adena E.
Come hungry! The meat doesn't end until you're ready. The salad bar is amazing but to fill up on that is a rookie mistake. Basically, fast all day before coming. Lot's of rare and interesting choices as well as seasonal specials.

We have eaten at this establishment many times and always been very pleased. The buffet that they offer, which includes sushi and rissotto, salads amongst many other options is top notch. But the Skewers of beef that come around are truly the most delicious meats we have ever tasted.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

Service...out of this world, Food...not so much
by Meatking
People keep telling me this is a great Rodizio because I always rave about the Rodizio's I go to. But after visiting this place I just don't see this Rodizio being on my Top 5 list of Rodizio's. I am going to point out the right and wrongs about this place.
First of all I want to commend this place for the best service I have ever experienced at a Rodizio. The whole time I never had to ask for anything, My drink was always full, my eatting area was always cleaned (new clean plate every 10 mins). But great service comes with a big price. It's definitely one of the most expensive Rodizio I have ever been to at $60.00 per person.
Ok, now let's talk about the most important part of a Rodizio, the MEAT and food. I didn't see much variety of meats, it was the basic selection of chicken ,beef, and pork. The place lacked some variations of beef cuts and the meat was mostly cooked to medium and medium well. A lot of the Rodizio's that I have been to ask you how rare you want the meat to be, Plataforma doesn't really ask, and if you ask them to cut you a rare slice of meat, it's still medium. But the meat they use are definitely the best grade of meat you can get. Also this place isn't really creative on the "Bacon wrap meats" (ex. chicken wrap in bacon, turkey wrap in bacon). I have been to some places that had everything they served wrapped in bacon, it's a little excessive but you can never have too much bacon. Three things bothered me about the meat they served, first is the fact that they serve Ham as one of their meats. Ham is for breakfast not for a Rodizio, Second is that they don't have a cut of prime ribeye steak, They have a great prime rib but no prime ribeye steak, I think prime ribeye steak is one of the most delicious steaks, it's a must have at any rodizio and lastly they don't have an unique meat, for example, alligator, quill, duck, pigeon (no pigeon in NYC? come on?!?) or frog legs, something that you don't see or normally eat. i think duck would have been a nice addition to their list of meats. Enough about the meats and lets get to the other stuff. Their salad bar is definitely very very nice, good variation, some sushi, seafood and very fresh greens. some different about this place are their list of sides, you get to pick from a dozen list of sides that goes with your meats. And yes like everyone said they have a great wine list.
My rating was really based on how the meats were and it didn't stand out for me. Yes they do have a lot sides but I eatting at a Rodizio to stuff myself with sides and they do have a great wine list, but any decent red wine will do for me. Yes the service is great and the place is fancy but I am not going to a Rodizo to impress my date while I eat a few lbs of meat (oh yea that's definitely impressive). When you go to an rodizios you want to be impressive by the different cuts of meat and how well they are cooked and experience unique flavors and this place just didn't do it for me. I would give it a 4 but the price I had to pay for a place like this is kind of a let down.
note: If you want to try some great rodizios go to newark,nj.
Pros: The Service is the best I have ever experienced at a Rodizio
Cons: Varity of Meat is low

A true churrascaria in NYC
by ABrazilian
Great variety of meats and salad bar. The service is top notch. Make sure to request PICANHA NOBRE to your servant...its the best and most expensive cut. :O) Trust me, this is just like nice churrascarias in Brazil. Make sure to go there hungry.
Pros: quality/variety of meats
Cons: nothing

Great Steakhouse for parties of 4 or 5 +
by Straks
Really filling and high quality meats. Flip the red to green and the waiters will come over and cut fantastic meat over your plate. Good for parties but also pricey. They also have a great seafood buffet and salad buffet as well. Drinks are expensive but I think you can get a group deal for a cheaper then eating with one person. Which brings me to the next point it is not the type of place you bring a date. But I recommend it for sure.
Pros: Fun, energetic, good eats
Cons: expensive and filling

Immaculately clean, awesome food and service.
by MS109
I've been in their kitchen, it's IMMACULATELY clean. It's one of the only places in NY whose kitchen I have been in and wouldn't hesitate for a second to eat there. The food is some of the best I have eaten, the atmosphere in the dining area is amazing. Take a few moments looking up from your plate at the cieling. The service and settings... All top notch.
Pros: Everything
Cons: None

Unbelievable!!!
by kpazul87
I was told not to eat anything all day before I come here. I'm glad I followed the instructions. I didn't go crazy with the meat because there was so many other delicious dishes to try. Everything was fresh and yummy. There is a plenty of seafood and they bring to your table rice, beans, polenta, fried bananas, homemade steak sauce, cheese bread 9t o die for), and mashed potatoes. Not to mention there are people coming over to your table with racks of prime rib, short ribs, chicken, sausage, and several different cuts of steak. Yeah, and then there is a dessert cart which will add that extra sweet taste you will need.

Snooty Service for a wannabe Foga De Chao
by foodcritic24
You get what you pay for. The food is good and the price is high.
Unfortunately, you also get snooty service. What baffles me is how an entirely unoriginal concept could be so snooty about its service. When you go to Daniel, Per Se, etc - they are warm and welcoming and you have a great experience.
I didn't see any Michelin stars on the wall, nor people queuing like at the Little Owl, but yet several of their employees, including "Ricardo" treated us as if we were lucky to be there.
The real luck is that I can stop by a better version of a Brazillian steakhouse in Dallas or Atlanta, where people have better manners.
Cons: Group Dining Nightmare!

Great food, service could be better
by gbarry
We ate there on Mother's Day and I accounted for that fact in my review. Party of 6 adults. We were seated reasonably quickly with a full house. Head waiter greeted us but was rarely seen during the dinner. No wine list offered. We had little attention from the drink waiter (surprising as this is a big money-maker for them) and had to repeatedly ask for wine and beer replenishments. The headwaiter assisted with some drink orders near the end of dinner after I flagged him down. He was friendly and polished.
Desert was a bit hodge-podge. The cart was rolled in and we made selections and were served. Coffee was not even offered as there was no drink waiter. We had to flag one down.
Port wine was offered and I think it was comp'ed or part of the desert service.
Had a good time - the buffet, sides and the meat courses were all very fresh and flavorful. The meat waiters were attentive.
Pros: Food - perfectly cooked meats and fresh buffet
Cons: Service was a bit off but OK

A must try for any serious carnivore
by AVWiz
Wow! Went with my co-workers for the first time on a Thursday night. The entire staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Our host made a great wine recommendation, but heck, I went for the meat and I was definitely "blown away" by the sheer quantity and quality. An endless parade of 15 juicy, tender perfectly prepared cuts of beef, pork, chicken, turkey, a suckling pig, two kinds of ribs and my favorite, the leg of lamb. It was the best I've ever had! Even the salad and casserole bar was impressive. The freshness and quality gave us a hint at what was in store for us with the main course. Great for group dining, we had a blast. I'll definitely be back!
Pros: Great food, and service. Reasonable parking across the street
Cons: Loud live Jazz band made it hard to hear the waiters and our conversation

Top notch!
by LyndaLouROB2
As you walk in from a wintery NYC evening, you embrace the one you love and bring her into a romantic atmosphere. The hostess seats you, then you are serviced by a front and back waiter to cater to your every need. The delectable, yet filling appetizer bar awaits you..Dont eat too much of this!!!! Then its meat time, my wife had never tried the lamb but only to say it had taken the prize of being her #1 choice of the evening,
I would reccomend this restaurant in NYC and staying in Midtown W 49th..Between 6 & 7. This is a first class experience to share with someone you love..I did!
Pros: Great waitstaff, amazing food!
Cons: Go on an empty stomach, savor the time, it wasnt long enough!

Great food, high prices, snobby hostesses
by vikinnyc
The welcome in Churrascaria as well as the farewell were pretty bad. But once you pass the snobby, rude and unfriendly hostesses, that don't seem to care at all you can actually have an enjoyable evening (I have to mention though that the lady at the coatcheck was friendly). The Salad Bar is huge and the selection great, but best is to pass up on it completely so you can enjoy all the meats and leave a little room for dessert. The meat selection is wide and great. They come by often and definitely leave you satisfied. Some waiters are more friendly than others. The highly recommended Mojito is not all what it's hyped up to be, go rather for a strong red to go with your meat. Dessert was fantastic and even though you are so full you can't breathe once they pass by with the trolley it's impossible to say no. The price is shockingly high but for a special evening definitely worth it. Even though the service was spotty I would recommend it to friends.
Pros: Lots and lots of food
Cons: Spotty service, high price

A true carnivore's delight..
by ThatGirl24
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is lovely, though it can get noisy. There is such an excellent selection of meats and you can try them all, so make sure you're hungry! The salad bar also has quite the selection even though I skipped it on my last visit. The service is excellent, though sometimes they bombard you and it can be overwhelming. I especially loved the prime rib, it was out of this world. I would recommend this place to anyone who is a true meat lover, you won't be disappointed.
Pros: Great food, attentive service

Pro: Great Service, plenty of food Con: Costs too much
by mbbbb1234
Went to Plataforma just last night as part of a birthday celebration that included a show (Chorus Line) and dinner. In picking a restaurant I was looking for 3 things, A) Steak B) convenient to the Theater Dist and C) not having to worry about some snooty NY waiter ruining the evening. I also wanted to make sure there was plenty to eat (no elf food here)
I am happy to report that Plataforma did not disappoint.
We were seated right away despite arriving 45 min early.
Plataforma is a Prix Fixe menu. $55 gets you unlimited salad bar, a flight of side dishes and as much entre meat as you can possibly eat. NOT included are desserts or soft drinks. .
The salad bar was actually a bit smaller than I expected, but it was well stocked with shrimp, seafood pasta and other salads, soups, breads and cheeses. The temperatures were constantly monitored.
After a small taste of a few salad items, we flipped our coaster from red to green and the gorging began.
First to come around were Skewers of sausages and chicken thighs. The chicken was juicy and very well seasoned.
The top sirloin was my favorite. It took some convincing for the server to shave off a decent sized portion, but he did it and it was fabulous. There was also, ribs (barbecued and dry) Filet Mignon with bacon, ribeye, lamb, chicken, and even a suckling pig.
We had a coke ($3.00 no refills), a glass of Sangria ($9.00) and two desserts ($7.00 each) Meats were well-brined (if a little salty) and very well prepared. The meat was a littlle rare for my taste, but I always had the feeling I could have asked for it more well-done without issue.
The problem was the bill. $147.30 for two before tip. A tad pricey, but not unexpected. Everything was done with such a flourish that It wasn't until later that I realized that I just spent $150 for SIRLOIN! GOOD Sirloin, but Sirloin.
Wow! For that, we could have had porterhouse for two at Frankie and Johnies!
Pros: Great Meat. Excellent Service VERY attractive staff
Cons: Price

Best steak, great customer service, great romantic dining experience
by lovetodine08
This is the first time i'm writing a review b/c I was so disappointed by the most recent reviews for plataforma. This restaurant is one of the best steak houses in the city if you are true meat eater. I have never had a problem with my reservations and even after showing up late a few times they are very accomondating. It is a fairly large space, yet the dining experience is very intimate and romantic. The waitstaff is also great. There is also sometimes live music if i remember correctly. When you first arrive theres an open buffet with seafood, pastas, breads, sushi (which is decent-basic tuna, salmon sushi and a few basic rolls), salad etc. Once youre seated the waitstaff comes around with various types of steak (ribeye, skirt, flank, filet), chicken, some pork (bbq ribs), etc. The first time I went there I couldnt believe that steak could literally melt in your mouth- its like butter!. It's cooked to PERFECTION. I love my steak medium to rare while my fiance enjoys his more well done (which is a shame) - either way, you have the choice and they are equally delicious. The side dishes are a little weak-but lets face it youre not really going there to eat the cous-cous and the brocolli. The only thing is that the desserts are a bit weak - i'm a huge dessert lover, but really youre so stuffed by the end of the meal who really has the space. Also the price is very affordable - i think about $80 fix price. Before i went here, I swore by Frankie and Johnies but I think steak for steak- plataforma is better.

Meat - Good!
by rws240
Went here on a Saturday night with a bachelor party. The place is great for a big group. Don't fill up on the "salad bar" - although there are quite a few tasty appetizers on there. The meats are fantastic! The sirloin and prime rib cuts are amazing. The chicken is great. The ribs slide right off the bone and are so juicy. I'd pass on the ham & sausage, just to save room for the other stuff. The bacon-wrapped sirloin is one of the greatest culinary creations I've ever tasted. Get there soon!
Pros: Big groups, variety of meats

A great place for a big group
by olenka2112
I loved this place. I'm not a huge meat fan, but the salad menu itself (including sushi, calamari, cheese) would be enough to leave me satisfied. I went there to celebrate a friend's birthday (we were a group of 9 people), and I enjoyed the experience very much. It is the place to go to with a big group of friends. We heard "Happy Birthday" sung at almost all the tables around us, the atmosphere was very jovial, and everyone seemed very happy to be there. My only complaint would be that their caipirinhas weren't as delicious as they should be, and the tiramisu was subpar, so do choose a different dessert. Also, please remember that drinks and desserts are not included in the 60-something bucks you're paying for the buffet/meat. Anyway, I definitely recommend this place if you're ready to spend about $80 bucks for the evening. The atmosphere is worth it, so is the food.
Pros: meat, salad bar, polite and friendly staff, great atmosphere, especially for group dining

A great place for Winter Meatings. We go back every January with 6-12 people. Make sure that everyone arrives on time as they don't seat partial groups. Go light on the buffet and don't forget that pitchers of Caipirinhas are available ! KOAM Approved
Pros: The beef , pork, sausage ....did I mention The Meat ?
Cons: Won't seat you till the last person arrives. Great when the 12th guy is stuck in traffic

by james1976
Went there with a group and had a great time. Don't plan on sitting down when your reservation is for, though. Also avoid filling up at the buffet (the shrimp cocktail is 1/10th as tasty as it looks). But the meat is awesome. Try the liver!
Pros: Great steaks, fun atmosphere
Cons: horrible buffet, never get seated on time

Not the real deal
by sandrony
This place is to Brazilians what Times Square is to New Yorkers. Out-of-towners think Times Square is the real NY when in fact is a place to be avoided. Plataforma might be amusing and amazing to whomever has never been to an authentic Churrascaria IN Brazil. You'll see a busy and large place, big (salad) buffet and the all-you-can-eat mindset, but Brazilians who come to this place know they will fill you up with the cheap, undesireable meat and bring the real picanha olnly upon begging (if you were Brazilian, you would know you should come to this place for PICANHA and ALCATRA exclusively). If you stuffed yourself with salad and salsages, colgratulation, you've been just ripped off!
Pros: Food, food, food
Cons: not meat, not meat, not meat - just replacements

To die for...
by jm2230
Ive been to Brazil multiple times on business trips as well for pleasure. On every occasion Ive visited Brazilian steakhouses and none of them beats the authentic taste of Churrascaria Plataforma. The salad bar is amazing- fresh japanese food, shrimp, beans with sausage go easy on the salad, the best part still to come. The meat at this place is to die forand you if you really like something, you can always tell your waiter to bring that particular meat back. Perfect setting for groups like mine (we were celebrating my wifes b-day) and the live music gave the evening a nice touch. The only con I can think about it is that I didnt have enough room for more food.
Pros: Service was very attentive

An objective opinion
by rev777
Ate here with the wife and friends 9/22/06. Upon entering you'll notice an odd smell to the place, probably due to the seafood at the salad bar. We first had some drinks at the bar as we got there early. I was suprised they charge $7 for a 12oz draft beer (Michelob). $7 and not even a pint! They charge $9 for a Jack & Coke. So liquor is very expensive here. The salad bar had sushi but sadly is wasn't very good. It was ice cold, much colder than sushi should be served, therefore had little flavor. The meats, while very diverse in type, were mostly very fatty. I personally prefer good cuts of meat without the gelatinous fat. The problem here is they give you a small, and I mean small, single slice and move on. You can ask them for more but either way eating in this manner is more like picking on a left over chicken in your fridge. The filet mignon was pretty good but not out of this world - again, small slices. Overall, for a prix-fix dinner you can indeed eat more than you can handle so it's a good value. I'm writing this review though since so many people were saying it's the best meal they've ever eaten. My wife and I have been all around the world and to some of the best eateries so we can honestly say this isn't anywhere near being fantastic. Most people that rave must not get out to great restaurant's very often. So don't go there with high expectations and keep track of the liqour charges and you'll be good to go. I'd certainly recommend trying this restaurant but I'm not really planning on going back - just not as great as other places I know in the city.
Pros: Can sit large groups, can eat as much as you want
Cons: Expensive beer/liquor, meat served in small single slices, so many servers running around it's cramped.

Carnivore's Paradise
by b00pi3flak3s
There are many places that serve Rodizio style Brazilian meats but few do it as well as this place does. The cold buffet is fantastic, the food is delicious there alone. The meats are almost a bonus, but what is not cool is they recently did away with filet mignon which is a tad disappointing. All and all, despite the expense this is a fantastic place to dine and an even better place to take a date or a huge group. This location in midtown is one of the best and on Thurs/Fri nights, there is live music to go with the fine and fun dining.
Pros: Food, Service, Ambiance
Cons: Prices, Parking, Crowded

For The Hungry Meat Lover
by foodtalker
The place is loud and busy. But if you can find a way to avoid gorging on the delicious salad bar items, you can save room in your stomach for an endless stream of meat. I especially like the skirt steak, which I always request as soon as I get seated. The little Brazilian cheese breads are highly addictive, so beware. And the sangria is very good as well. Altogether, a great dining experience and a great place to take a group of people whom you want to impress.

Went to dine at Chur the other night and it was excellent. The food was delicious, the staff very curtious. The decor very nice.
The cons I would say were there were some people dressed nicely, while others came in to dine in a sweatshirt or with cell phones in their ears. Definately a turn off.
The drinks are over priced in my book as well.
All in all a very nice dinging experience. I will definately go back again.

by josh21
Being rather fussy about my meat, its rare I find a prime rib that measures up which is saying a lot as i frequent places like Luger and Mortons. The prime rib here is far and away worth any price and being far less than the downtown restaurants makes it more than worth it.

My group arrived before the restaurant was opened but the sgtaff greated us warmly and then we began to eat and eat and eat....the salad bar had great black beans and pork and then the service of the "endless meats" began.....top sirloin, chicken, bacon wrapped filets, pork, lamb, and then more steak.......all served with flair.
It is pricey for lunch but........the wait staff were all polite and attentive..........and the food was well-flavored and different...
A definite +++ for this place...
Pros: atmosphere, wait staff, food
Cons: a bit pricey

Great food, not so great price
by mzx380
you have to live with the saying "you get what you pay for" when you come to this restaurant. sure it's a little pricey at $50 per head, but the quality of food you get is unbelievable. every single dish @ plataforma was great (especially the cheese bread and plantains) and the steaks were awesome. service was good. The only con i can think of really is the lack of variety at the buffet. mostly seafood and salads. if you need to celebrate a birthday with family or a few friends, this is definetly a place you can go to.
Pros: quality of food, ambience, service
Cons: lack of variety, a lil pricey, parking

I loved it, loved it, loved it! My boyfriend took me there once considering that i am a meat connoisseur, far from being a vegetarian :) That was the best present ever! Great atmosphere. So many kinds of meat! Each one so delicious that you cant say "no" to any. The waiters started smiling at me in the end, because really - you have to be reasonable there :) otherwise you are in danger of never leaving the place!
Pros: Great food, Unusual way of servin
Cons: May be a bit pricy

I agree with all the positive reviews about this restaurant that motivated me to try this restaurant for my friend John's birthday dinner. We had the best time.
Listen to all the advice listed on the other reviews. Drinks, refills, and desserts all cost extra. The appetizer bar is amazing but not as amazing as the entree options. Most of us agreed we should have minimized the appetizer if not skipped it all together. Even though I am on a restricted budget, I will be back to Churrascaria Plataforma many more times. We enjoyed the fast moving, louder, festive ambience. If you are looking for romantic, this may not be the choice.
Pros: FOOD, SERVICE, AMBIENCE

Me and a friend were originally looking for a Japanese buffet called Minado, but we were told it was closed at 10! So we ended up at CP.
I cannot describe how impressed I was with the place itself (for a pig-out place its neat and classy) LOVED the band!
The salad bar was AMAZING! and they have SUSHI too (hear that Minado? and they are open till midnight!!!)
The meat was sublime! I had mostly lamb and fillet mignon and they were both incredible, so soft, tasty... just perfect!
Please don't miss the fried bananas they they bring with your meat. they are to die for!!
Caipirinhia was great, but on a tiny glass.
to wrap up, I'll just say this: THIS WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST CULINARY EXPERIENCES IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. And the green-red flipping game is a lot of fun
!
Will DEF go back ASAP!!

We were very impressed. I stuffed myself to the gills for $80.00 (not counting before dinner drinks) and please pay attention to the following. DO NOT FILL UP ON SALAD BAR AND CHEESE BREAD!
When the meat comes it is phenomonal and you will wish that you starved yourself for a whole day like I did.
The waiters are classy and pleasant and our Maitre D was exceptional.
This restaurant climbs to the top of my list next to Carmine's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: friendly
Cons: crowded, can't hear piano

Fun and amazing food

Everyone is alive at this little Brazil(Brasil) Mecca. The Churrascaria Plataforma is one of the best resturants in New York City. The atmosphere alone would rate it a 10...but wait til you taste the food! and it just keeps on comming for one flat price...so dont eat all day and stuff yourself silly when you go! try the ciparinea (spelled wrong im sure) but its wonderful. TIP: do not over indulge on the salad bar...yes its exciting and you want to try everything (they even have sushi) but there so much food to be had later just take small amounts of things...the best is yet to come!
Pros: great food!, great atmosphere!

Go for lunch!
by mjm347
The food is really fantastic, so is the service (and the wine list - or book, I suppose - is top notch), though it can be pricey. I recommend going for a late lunch (last lunch seating is 3:30). You'll have the place practically to yourselves (plural because you really should go with a group) and with the amount of food you get it makes an effective dinner. Another bonus to eating early is that it's much cheaper. I have done the top-shelf open bar for $100, but in hindsight wouldn't do it again. If I had to go for dinner, I'd go with the unlimited wines-by-the-glass, their selections are not your run-of-the-mill merlot and cabernet, there's about 15 choice that are all great value wines.
Pros: The Meat, The Wine, The Ambiance
Cons: Too much seafood in, the salad bar, Can be pricey

Incredible Service!
by jackryan
This place has the best service I have ever seen in the city. They ensure that you are stuffed beyond belief. To do this, they give you a place holder....red means buffet, which was sushi, pastas, breads, cheeses, salads, or Green which was BRING THE MEAT. My advice, just stick with the meat. They have about 10 different kinds and my favorite was the flank steak.
The staff did a great job of keeping bottles and beers flowing on the table and ensuring that as long as you had green on, you got meat stuff with meat stuffed with tacos.
Only bad thing was that we waited 30 mins to be seated and they made us leave 30 min early for free beers at the bar. At that point though it didn't really matter as we were all stuff!
Great frenchy coat wearing with ties and first date atmosphere!
Pros: Meat, Meat, Meat

You will get fooled
by btour
Compared to the real Brazilian BBQs found in Brazil, Plataforma is a complete joke. It is extremely expensive, service is poor, they will serve you the minimum unless you complain. Having said that, the meat is good, the salad buffet is ok. But don't get fooled, they will come to you like crazy during 5 minutes serving you the poor and inexpensive meat so that you feel full immediately. Unless you are Brazilian, you don't know what the real good stuff is, and they will do their best to keep it away from you!
Pros: Good meat, OK salad bar
Cons: Bad service, Will get fooled, Bad value

BIG MEAT (big price)
by wevi
Service from the meat cutters is fine, but otherwise is below average -- they messed up the drink orders for 2 of the 10 I was with...we asked for more bread twice and it never came. etc. The food quality is great...fantastic salad bar (great if there is a non red meat eater in the group but...not good for vegetarians since much of it has seafood, cheese or other dairy...and the meat is fantastic., Interior is a bit cheesy...you sort of feel like you are in the dining room on "Love Boat."
Pros: meat meat meat
Cons: pricey, service

A bit pricey, but worth it
by kentrosi
I was eating alone, so promptly seated. The extensive salad bar was filled with delicious offerings, but beware of filling up on the cheap eats...save room for the meats. The lamb and the tenderlion are amazing. The wine list was very good, but pricey. At 50 a head plus a couple of glasses of wine, be prepared tp have an expensive night out, but well worth it for a great Churrascaria.
Pros: food, atmosphere, professional staff
Cons: price, price, price

A great idea, no follow through
by ebicon
When I first heard about this place, I knew that I had to go. As a steak lover, it sounded like my dream. However, when I showed up for my reservations, I had to wait for over an hour to get in (on a Thursday night). The restauraunt is extremely crowded and the only time I've been in such close quarters with other diners is at a comedy club. The food as a whole is mediocre. There are some very good items, but they seem to circulate the average ones the most. Considering the price, a regular steak house is a better choice unless you're truly ready to make the most of all you can eat.
Pros: good idea, some good food
Cons: long wait, mostly mediocre food, cramped quarters

A carnivors dream!
by daria77
The meats keep coming and coming until you can't help but loosen your belt.
For first timers, pace yourself, you don't have to eat everything they offer!
