I first joined Fitness Point soon after it first opened. I was drawn to their low rates, which are great. They don't have very much in the way of equipment, which was fine by me because I joined mostly to attend their exercise classes. They started out with many great fun and exciting classes. But they either ended up getting cancelled, or the really good instructors would stick around for awhile and then leave. Additionally, many of their classes are too packed for the one small studio, and you don't have enough room to move. I stopped going because i no longer felt as though I was getting any type of workout at all being so smooshed in. They really need to build another room, expand the existing room, or offer more classes to accomodate the demand.

As for the equipment, lots of it is run-down. If you're looking for a very cheap, very bare-bones gym, this is it. Just remember you get what you pay for.

PROS: good prices
CONS: classes too crowded, run-down equipment

I was drawn to Fitness Point, mainly because of my dissatisfaction with another local gym. The price was right at less than 200 for the year, when other gyms cost astronomical prices. The hours, machines, and classes are great. I would reccomend this gym to anyone who is not willing to shell out the bucks for bigger name gyms such as NYSC or The Rock. This gym does the job!
