We have eaten there many times and has always been very good. Sunday we went there for their Mother's Day brunch and was not very happy. All of the foods that were suppose to be hot were not. Eggs, bacon, sausage, homefries were all lukewarm. We did tell the waitress about it but it was too late for us. I worked in food service and we had to temp our food every 1/2 hr. No adjustment was made on our bill. We probably will never go back...

This small diner is so cute. Down home cookin with great service. The food is good and portions are great. Watch out at lunch time though the wait could be a while. Well that and breakfast.

The Village Kitchen gives you what every small down diner should: a menu with all the standards and a few surprises, well-prepared food at a fair price and a staff that clearly wants you to have a good meal in nice surroundings.

It's a little off the beaten path - one block off Main Street - but easy to find. Riley Street runs into Main (Rt 20A) by the railroad overpass. Just turn there, and the Village Kitchen is on your right - it shares a parking lot with the Wilson Farms convenience store.

As seems to be a federal law for diners, breakfast is served all day long. They make great pancakes, the home fries are consistently good and they are one of the few diner's I've visited that offer both low-fat and low-carb selections on the menu! No more negotiating with the waitress!

The rest of the day's menu is just as good. Salads and sandwiches and a good fish fry on Friday's. Homemade soup. Check the hours for dinner - I don't think they serve it every day - just Friday and Saturday. I could be wrong!

Did I mention it's one block off Main Street? After your meal, take a walk up and down East Aurora's genuine, authentic, 100% REAL Main Street. With stores owned by people - not faceless conglomerates!

How sweet is that?
