5 Stars: Artists - Designers- Architects Galore!!! (by Idealist B.)

Gotta love Utrecht Art Supply Store. It sure beats climbing 4 flights of stairs in Pearl Paint (or waiting for the elevator)

The store is quite small. However, dont let that fool you. You will find pretty much anything you are looking for. Definitely less time consuming.

Everything is extremely organized.

Amazing cool staff. They definitely look like they study art. They are extremely helpful.

I had an experience once when I waited almost 15 minutes with the salesrep (over a common sense mistake) But I didnt mind at all bc the staff is simply amazing. Sometimes, you just have to let it slide when service is unbeatable.

4 Stars: nice art store, good service (by andrea b.)

this is far smaller and much less selection than pearl paints- but then again this has more of a focus on your painting/drawing supplies. excellent selection of oil and acrylic paints, like windsor and newton. but what it lacks in size compared to Pearl, it makes up for in service. they are much friendlier and more helpful here, and the prices are usually reasonable. they also have a god selection for pottery/claymaking and the tools that go with it, as well as instructional books.

4 Stars: All the good stuff and more (by Harry T.)

They are a rather small store, but they seem to have everything in stock and at good prices. The staff there are extremely helpful and will help you find practically anything that you're looking for. If they don't have it, you can always have a special order made, and shipped to the store for pickup. The store hours are pretty extensive so you're ok to go there after work or classes.

4 Stars: The Cheapest place for Painting Supplies (by M L.)

This place is great and super busy. The downside is they can run out of inventory; I think it has to do with proximity to NYU and art students in the village. Keep in mind there is another store in Chelsea on 23rd & 7th, same inventory, but newer and generally better stocked cause peeps are still finding out about it.

PROS: Cheap, lots of supplies, great selection, nice peeps
CONS: out of inventory a lot.

4 Stars: High end paints (by Vincent P.)

Very high end acrylic paints and brushed. The paints are great and they have a nice array of canvas including some very nice Belgian linen. Excellent service. I don't draft but the selction of drafting supplies is intriquing. Just south of Union Square Park.

PROS: Nice paints
CONS: Expensive

4 Stars: good art store, great people (by Jane L.)

My favorite thing about this place is the people who work there. They are very friendly, and best of all, quite attractive--in that artsy sort of way. I mainly go there for canvases, and you can generally find all the sizes you need at pretty good prices. Like an art store should be, it is not too orderly, but not messy. Give it a try!

5 Stars: Utrecht Art Supplies (by amanda k.)

Utrecht Art Supplies has everything an artist needs, at rockbottom prices. They have supplies for all kinds of artists, from cartoonists to painters, sculptors and more! Utrecht even has their own brand of art supplies, which is just as good or even better than brand name ones.
