Disorganized takeout experience - took down address and number incorrectly multiple times, so food was 1-1/2 hours in transit. No apology. No re-firing of stale, soggy food.

Beans and chicken stew were good.

Beans and chicken stew were good.

Pros: Decent beans & stew

Cons: Bad takeout

A reliable menu of Latino/caribbean favorites on the lunch menu. Highly recommend the sandwiches, in particular the Cuban sandwich, which is hard to find in this part of Brooklyn. Pork dishes are good also, in particular the platters with rice and beans. Good selection of drinks and batidos. The lunch menu is well-priced and the portions considerable??and the takeout travels well. Nothing extraordinary, but well-executed and satisfying. (Note: The name is actually spelled El Viejo Yayo.)
