I've been coming here since I've been 5. Great selection of fish and product. The workers are really friendly and know tons of information. I've shopped at mutliple local pet stores and nothing compares to Brian's.

I bought a big piece of wood with a rock stand for a dramatic effect. The piece was 65 bucks, pricey, but i fell in love with it.... I discovered, however, that the store put them on their shelves without telling the customers that the wood was still full of tannin: my aquarium was pitch brown after a week, and the piece is just too big to soak in a big bucket. Week after week (i tried 4 times) the water did not just turn into a nasty yellow... but a genuine pitch brown! The fish were simply invisible behind the dark cloud of tannin! Sure I took three months before I brought it back (i am very busy with my job)... The owner, Brian himself, told me that I was lying and that I have never bought the piece in his store! I was stunned! He could have just said something along the line "without a receipt, blah, blah, blah". No, he simply chose to make me sound like a thief! Even the woman behind the cashier, who was at the register the day i bought the piece, lied through her teeth (she probably was scared to contradict the boss)! And I was simply asking an exchange, not a refund!

And by the way, all the fishes I bought over there have died with me in mere weeks, while the angel fishes I also own, from a private growth are still alive and voraciously kicking after 7 years.

I have been a customer of Brian's for at least 20 years. The past 4 or 5 years though, I tend to only stop in to buy pet food in an emergency because I have noticed that they are A LOT more expensive than other pet stores, their prices are really crazy

After going to several pet stores, we ended up at Brian's Tropical Aquarium. We talked to the sales help who suggested a filter for my son's salt water tank. We purchased it along with many other things, $1000.00 worth of things. My son then purchases a tank somewhere else because this pet store didn't have what my son wanted. We then went back to Brian's Tropical Aquarium to get the next larger filter. The filter was never opened or touched. The owner did not want to hear anything and basically said we were stuck with the filter. Poor service, Poor business sense!!!!

This shop has been in the area for soo many years. They are friendly and helpful and ready to answer questions and help with specific problems one may be encountering. They carry a wide variety of products for all kinds of animals although the name of the business leads one to believe it's for fish only.

This is a family owned store. Many years of experience and always look to please the local customers. They have expanded over the years and i'm sure still going strong! Lots of cute animals too.
