After doing a home dye job that was less than pretty, I went to Attitlios to get it corrected. We talked in great length about what I had been going for when I started my dye journey and what I wanted the result of the correction to be. It seemed like we were on the same page with what our visions for my hair were and she told me that it would cost about $75 to do. This was more than I wanted to spend but I felt confident that it would look good. After having someone else come over to put the color on my hair she disappeared and went off to work on dozens of other customers while I sat, and sat, and sat with the color on my hair. By the time she came to check it and have yet another girl rinse it off, my beloved blonde hair (which I was trying to lighten and brighten up a bit in the first place) was brown!! Then came the highlights... She painted some on... then went to cut someone else's hair... put some more on and stuck me under the dryer, where I sat, and sat, and sat. By the time yet another girl came to check my color and rinse the highlights out, they were totally white! So, now my hair is brown and white with fake streaky highlights that start about 1/4 of an inch from my scalp (looks like 6 weeks of regrowth). After all this I got to the counter to get my bill of $145!! What?!? I ended up spending 4 1/2 hours total getting all of this done. Now I am broke, ugly, and wishing that I had just stayed with my $7 bad (but not this bad) home dye job!

Shame on them! My 18 year old daughter has been getting her hair cut and colored at Attilios for a few years now and each time they charge a higher price. This past appointment was 150.00! They never told her they were raising their prices prior to getting her hair done. She works SO hard for her money and saves wisely for college expenses. I had heard around the Village that they have a reputation of taking advantage of the teenagers and my daughter's experience certainly confirms it. I didn't want to hurt my daughter's feelings but they did a very POOR job on her hair. The cut was so so but the high lites are harsh and sloppy. My daughter tipped both the stylist who was the owner and a shampoo girl separately so the total was 180.00 for a cheap looking result! Shame on them- and I intend on filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I highly doubt they will remain in business in our village as word is traveling fast to beware! My other daughter had the same experience but was too embarrassed to tell me. They charged her 225.00! Her hair looked so cheap and low class I offered to pay for her to go get it fixed by my stylist. She did and never went back to Attilios.

I've been a customer of Attilio's for the past few years after I moved into the area. Slowly I tried almost all the services. I've never had a bad experience. Sometimes I've had to stretch hair cuts but it's still easy to do, my whole family goes there... I would highly recommend them, warm and friendly I always have good experiences.

I scheduled a Brazilian wax there with a friend as we were prepping for vacation. I was charged $50 for a sloppy version of a bikini wax - it was by no means a Brazilian. And although she was very nice, the technician wasn't very thorough, leaving MANY strays and a lot of wax behind. I do not recommend this salon at all for any services.

I can't wait to share this story with all of you who think this is a fancy place to go and get pampered. First of all, let me start off by telling you that I am a Kenmore resident. Before moving to Kenmore, I lived in Boston, MA for 8 fun filled years! I never EVER paid this much not even on Newbury Street in Boston. In a nutshell, the service rendered was a hair cut or trim I should say, a highlight, and last but not least a low light. The grand total for this was a whopping $185.00!!! What the? Needless to say, buyer beware, because it turned out nice, hence the 1 star rating, but NOT that nice! These people are high on the hair color they use!
Best of luck ladies and gents!

This salon has excellent waxers. Yes, they are expensive but I can't say enough about their waxing services.
I haven't had my hair cut and/or colored here since 1999. I asked for many blonde highlights and the girl singed my hair. It was like straw and looked so awful. Then she charged me a TOTALLY different (and higher) price than when I first sat in her chair before she started. In all I paid over $150 for a cut and highlights. I know a girl at work that religiously goes there and has the owner do her hair only, it always looks great, even naturally blonde when she normally has brown hair. But for the price, I won't go there for color.

I walked in to Attilios searching for my "perfect hairdresser" - and I found her there. I used to pay $56. for a cut from a different salon/stylist, but found it too difficult to book with him at my convenience. Alexi gave me a wonderful, versatile, trendy cut ... for under $30. wow! ...and was very friendly and personable. I am going back and hope she stays, because she rocks! I recommend cuts to anyone!

I regularly schedule pedicures here. It is a little pricier than some other spas but they give you undivided attention and have always been polite and friendly with good results. Massage was just average however. I have had haircuts from several different stylists there and am always quite pleased!

I have been going to Attilios for my hair and nails and I now have my daughter and 2 granddaughters going there. Service is outstanding, the hair cuts are fantastic and the assistance with questions is great. I odn't know about bad reviews but I do know that if you want your hair to look great all of the time (even after you just wake up) you have to go here. This place is better than a three star review. Try it yourself.

I don't understand why people are bad-mouthing this salon. I've been going here for two years and I love it. It may be expensive, but it is more than worth it. Perhaps people who are unsatisfied simply need to be more assertive with those who are working on them; in other words ladies, speak up if you don't like the results. In my experience, they have been more than willing to fix any mistakes. I always walk out of Attilio's with a huge smile on my face. People compliment my hair for weeks after. I would recommend Attilio's to anyone!

I went on Saturday, 10-20-07, to have a full set of nails and a pedicure. I must say the decorations and atmosphere were beautiful and the employees were very friendly. However, it was the worst full set of nails I have ever had and it cost $40.00. They were very thick, not smooth, and very uneven.Three days later I have big gaps between my real nails and fake nails and they are breaking off. Also, I had a pedicure for $30.00. It was about 5 minutes long, no scrubbing, massage, or even a base coat. I wanted my eye brows waxed too but after the nails I wouldn't dare. When I asked the "nail" lady were she got her nails done, because they were so nice, she stated she goes across the street!!!! I would NOT recommend this beautiful place to anyone, unless they get new technicians. You might ask why I didn't ask for a refund, the answer: the technician reminded me of my daughter and I wouldn't want to get her in trouble.

I booked my appointment as a Mother's Day present for my mom and myself a few months in advance as I did not know how busy they would be, it turns out they recorded the wrong day, I had to call back and re-book the appointment all over again, I purchased two gift certificates for our special day, and they recorded the wrong dollar amount on one of the gift certificates, luckily I had the receipt so they corrected their error, they did not provide any of the technicians information as to what we were getting. When I complained to whom I assume is the Manager, I was completely blown off. I would NOT recommend this Salon to anyone.
