Toys R Us

This place has multiple floors and it's great. They seperate them according to age, youngest on the top floor with cribs and such, pre-teens in the mid-floors and toddlers on the first floor. I find it pretty easy to find anything and the people are really nice.

This is a must visit attraction in the city! It has got to be one of the most exciting and fun stores around! There is a huge ferris wheel with different cars like mr. & Mrs Potato head, a matchbox fire truck and so many more. (And I believe that all the sales of the ferris wheel rides goes to the Children's fund which is a great charity).
Check the website and you can always find out what special events or launches are going on there. It is great. it is a must visit every time I go to the city. The prices are great and there are always seem to be sales going on.

There's nothing like a 3-floor toy store with a giant ferris wheel running through the middle(the 'cars' are big Matchbox cars and such).

Of course being in Times Square it's a bit difficult to get to, and the prices are average as TRU's are, but it's definitely worth the trip just to browse if nothing else.

They also take your photo as you arrive...

This is my kids favorite place. They have a very big and impressive collection of good toys. The price can be a bit high at times, but they have their sales times and special coupons which are not hard to get at all - check their official website for printable coupons. The store has a nice feeling and some great customer service! Dont forget to check special events at the store! From electronic toys to Barbies, Toys R Us Union Sq got it all!

PROS: Great selections, Very nice store.
CONS: A bit expensive

If you have children in the city, you need to know about this store, especially if you are on the 'birthday party' circuit and need to know where to find a wide selection of affordable toys, and also a store with a liberal return/exchange policy
