I found everything clean and in good repair. No bugs or any such thing in my room. The room was overlooking 4th Avenue, yet quiet. The complimentary breakfast was fresh, and a good selection was offered. The location was wonderful for me, as I was able to get to both Manhattan and other areas of Brooklyn quite quickly. Admittedly, I am not a fan of the "luxury" type of hotel, and appreciate a clean, quiet, and modest hotel that offers good value for the money paid.

I would like to tell you what a great staff you have at this hotel, the food and service was great at the Madrid Lounge. I had visited with other hotels and looked on the internet but knew this is where we would stay. We had 4 people in our group and and everyone was very happy with the hotel.

After reading some of the positive reviews, I was sure this was the place to stay, but due to a reservation here there was a lot things to do here. What a nice discovery! Pleasant, tree-lined neighborhood, very friendly staff, but more importantly it was clean, quiet, and comfortable. What more can you ask for? It is clearly well run.

One of best hotel experiences so far. I spent a couple a nights there with some friends and we had a great time. The service and amenities are impressive. This place also has the most comfortable beds EVER! I love staying here and will return anytime we are in Brooklyn and need to stay over night.

Sadly, the reason for our stay was to attend a family funeral, and this was the closest hotel. We were very pleased with the hotel (just six blocks from the funeral home and nine from the church). It was a nice neighborhood. When we checked in, Carmen was very helpful, and gave us a recommendation for dinner (which was excellent) for after calling hours. She also told us about the breakfast, assisted with valet parking for our car, etc. To our surprise and delight, she was at the front desk again when we were checking out the next morning! She is welcoming and a true asset! The breakfast was very nice, and offered far more items than I expected, including options for hot oatmeal and waffles, in addition to the usual cold items. Thanks for everything!

I made my reservation on Expedia and followed up with a phone call to advise the front desk that I would be arriving late. The staff was excellent!!!! I asked how to get to the hotel from JFK and I received not only excellent instructions but guidance as to where to get the cab and where to not go for a cab. Wonderful!

We were in town for a difficult mission, but we always happy at the end of the day to return to a clean, friendly hotel. The evening staff were particularly nice. The morning breakfast was good: some days hard-boiled eggs, always toast, coffee, muffins, pastry, bagels, cereals and fresh fruit. The room was quiet and the beds comfortable...what more can you ask.

My husband and I stayed at The Gregory because it was less than 10 minutes from our daughter. We arrived late at 10pm. The valet service was right there to take our car and carry our bags. The front desk personnel was very friendly and accomodating! They even called our room 20 minutes later to inquire if we needed anything and to invite us down to their lounge for a night cap. We were already aware of our car being parked away from the hotel and the price for parking, but that's the way it is any where in NYC. The complimentary continental brkfst was good and adequate and fresh. We would definitely stay again.

The Gregory staff was hospitable, helpful, responding pleasantly to every question about car service, train schedule, the best pizza, hunt for a forgotten tooth bursh, and why was it so cold outside. Our room was warm, comfortable, and the TV & telephone worked. What more could you want? The neighborhood was friendly with plenty of shopping, a variety of restaurants, churches, and inexpensive compared to Manhattan and we would certainly return if given the chance. thanks
