Ben's Kosher Deli Restaurants

They have the best hushpuppies as well as EVERYTHING else they serve up. Even my son who eats nothing will eat the food from Ben's. We bring food home from them all the time.

This is the closest thing to the kosher delis of my childhood in the Bronx. From the pickles and sour tomatoes to the piled high sandwiches - this is the best deli around. The only thing it doesn't have are the cranky waiters that I remember. Ben's may have moved from its former location, but nothing else has changed. It's goos stuff.

This place serves simple things, but they are really good. It is very reasonably priced and the atmosphere is very nice. The food is also kosher. I totally recommend it.

Sadly, Ben's Kosher Deli Restaurant is no longer at the Smith Haven Mall. Why? I'm not certain. I heard that there was a fire, and they never recovered. Now it is some sort of burger joint.

Come back, Ben! We miss you and your latkes.
