As with any real estate brokerage, one's experience is directly related to the individual agent. I've worked with numerous real estate brokerages over the years, both here in NYC and elsewhere. However, my experience with Warburg Realty reflects more problematic conduct throughout the firm. One particular agent, Ellen Shandalow, demonstrated with great clarity the unethical conduct, unprofessional behavior, and negligence that people fear when working with an agent. After having submitted a signed contract and 10% deposit on an apartment, I was strung along for over 20 days before I was finally told, through the secretary of the lawyer to the sponsor that they would not be signing my contract. Had we not placed countless phone calls and sent numerous e-mails I'm not sure when we would have been informed. Neither Ellen Shandalow, nor Steven Goldschmidt, the Managing Director of Warburg were professional enough to contact me directly to inform me of their client's decision. My experience with Warburg Realty demonstrated a constellation of dubious business practices. If you have the chance, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Pros: A broad range of property developments
