I just got a kick out of this portion of an article--and couldn't find email address for Swiss Chalet....It's true!!!...The Buffalo, New York Artist, Linda Munschauer, was born in Buffalo, New York, 1979, growing up in Amherst. She has been painting with Acrylics since childhood, drawing and painting on the place-mats at every restaurant, whether it was the Pizza Hut, SWISS CHALET, La Hacienda or the Park Lane. After relocating to Southern Mississippi in 1996, Linda studied for a degree in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Southern Mississippi. Spending much of her time at New Orleans Art Centers, Linda became inspired and more passionate than ever about PAINTING. While continuing to paint and study in her southern home, "SHE COULD NOT SUPPRESS HER FOND MEMORIES OF BUFFALO. (IT WAS PROBABLY THE UNIQUE SAUCE ONLY TO BE FOUND AT SWISS CHALET!!)" LINDA RETURNED TO THE HOME SHE HAD KNOWN FOR TWENTY THREE YEARS!!!

Swiss Chalet is amazing. It is cheap and delicious. I have been going there since I was a kid the quality has never changed. It has a certain ambience about it that is unmatched. I am a big fan of the 1/2 chicken dinner with all white meat. No Swiss Chalet dinner is complete without the Chalet sauce. I'm not sure what the ingredients are but it is addictive.

The floors are bit slippery so watch yourself

I have been going to the Chalet for more than 40 years. From its origins on Main St., downtown to its current locations in Amherst and West Seneca it has been pretty consistent over the years. I might mention that the Amherst location recently had a face lift (but the floors still seem greasy) and the johns are on the lower level. Very inconvenient for older patrons.

If you are a chicken fan... this is the place. Try their sandwich plate with their special Chalet sauce. Mmmmm good! The sauce has not changed in forty years. This is what brings me back often. Deserves better than a 7.0..at least an 8.0.
