My boss came in from Florida and stayed at the Embassy Suites for a week. When he decided to stay for another two weeks, we shifted him over to Extended Stay America.

This is not a bad place at all and inexpensive!

The room was very simple but really quite nice. There was a bed, a dresser, a lamp, a long bar-like table with a couple stools (which doubled as a work area) and a phone. There was also an overstuffed recliner. There was a full kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, plates, pans, the works.

He was happy with his two line telephone with computer data ports, free locals calls, and free movie channels.

They also had an onsite laundry facility.

The only thing is, housekeeping only comes in weekly to clean and change the sheets and that caused quite a mess to build up.

The rates were quite good and my boss stayed at the same place again when he traveled here a few months later.

It was a comfortable experience for him and I enjoyed staying there once myself during a heat wave that knocked out my power, lights and air conditioning. My whole family packed up and stayed there as they had electricity and air and it was badly needed. My kids loved the big room and kitchen. My husband loved the recliner and movie channel and I loved the bed!

It's a good deal for anyone staying for any length of time. Great money saving option to cook your own meals and they have a wonderful work station to get things done. I really feel this is an underrated hotel chain and more people should take advantage of the low rates and spacious rooms. Just be sure to pick up after yourself and make the bed because there won't be maid service for a week!

PROS: Full kitchen, recliner, free movie channels, big room
CONS: Weekly maid service
