I didn't even want to give this place one star, the experience there this afternoon was THAT bad. I will never return to this place again. It's a joke and I cannot believe it hasn't been shut down!

First off, the host/waiter was dressed to go to the gym (t shirt, shorts and sneakers), not to work the front end of a restaurant. He did not check on us once during our meal, as he was too busy sitting at the restaurant's bar, on his laptop. Anyway, his poor appearance, the fact that this place was empty, and did NOT have air conditioning running (while the temperature today was in the 90's!) should have been reason enough for us to walk out before even being seated, but we were hungry, and decided to give this restaurant a chance anyway.

The dish my friend ordered was chicken piccata, which came with spinach and roasted potatoes. She didn't even get through an eighth of this dish, because it was absolutely horrible. The chicken was tasteless, and the potatoes were dry and hard to bite into. When the waiter finally decided to take notice of us (after we sat in front of our 90% full plates, for at least an hour, being ignored) my friend told him it was inedible. He offered her another dish, but she was so turned off that she declined.

Any reputable restaurant that receives a complaint about the food, from one of it's diners, you would expect the manager to apologize and deduct the cost of the uneaten plate from the bill, am I right? Not this place. This guy brings the dish back to the kitchen, then comes back to our table to say that he guarantees the freshest ingredients, but cannot guarantee that people will enjoy their meal. Really. He would not take the cost of the uneaten meal off the bill, so we paid, and walked out, regretting not taking a stronger stand after the fact.

The people running this place need a serious lesson in how to run a restaurant, and how to cook food.

I love this neighborhood bistro. You will be surprised at the very high quality of the dishes presented here. Everything is made to order with no short cuts, so be a little patient while you sip your drink or glass of wine. I have eaten here at least a dozen times and have never been disappointed! They are often busy weekend nights so make a reservation. I cannot recommend one particular dish because I can guarantee that everything on the menu is of equally high standards and delicious taste. Highly recommended!
