I brought a vintage bike to them needing some help on the glider brakes... I thought Dick and Rick were excellent! Super helpful, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure I was pleased before I walked out. Rick handcrafted a couple reflectors at no charge. Probably 80 years experience between the both of them, I enjoyed the conversation. Will do business with them again soon.

I am usually a very big supporter of local businesses, however, I would love nothing more than if the owner of this shop had to close his doors. I went there with an older Schwinn bicycle to get some information about possible

This man should take a ride with his own bicycle and kindly remove the seat, and take a ride down a very very long steep Mountain. I never had such a rude person use derogative remarks to me about a simple repair job. I had called to keep

this was the worst experience we've ever had with any type of retailer, anywhere. we bought a tire and rim to replace a bent one on our daughter's bike. i got the rim home and it wouldn't fit. obviously wrong size. my wife called about a refund and the guy said he'd fix it, but wouldn't refund the sale. it was OBVIOUSLY the wrong size. bike repair might be a specialized business, but this was a no-brainer. finally he told my wife "do what you want" and hung up on her. she went to get the refund today, and called me from there - shocked at their rudeness, and they refused to talk to me on the phone. they said, and i quote, "i'll throw your a$$ out of here" to her. finally i told her to get out of there because i didn't want her to talk to them alone, and i called their store, asking where they get the nerve to talk to my wife that way (she's really a sweet girl, and not at all prone to rudeness herself). they hung up on me too, after i told them that their store is very aptly named ;-) and after telling me that they have the conversation "recorded" (what does that even mean?) MAKE SURE YOU AVOID THIS PLACE!!

They deserve ZERO stars!HOW on earth is this man in business?!Don't give him a dime of your money! First he hung up on me on the phone and then refused to refund me. His junkie working for him said, "I'll throw your A$$ outta here."

After waiting 20 minutes for the employees to come out of the back room, (they never did), I bought TWO Trek bikes from Bert's for my wife and I. I would have bought them at Dick's, but I'm not going to give over $1000 to ANYONE that treats me that way. I felt like I had a prostate exam from an IRS agent. I've not been this angry since grade school, over 40 years ago. I will now tell EVERYONE I meet about my experience at DICK'S BICYCLE SHOP!

Pros: NONE

Cons: Loud music, employees screaming curse words at each other

My Mom purchased a bike from this shop last summer. She is short and he had a smaller one aviailable and did all the adjustments without charging her extra. He also took the bike outside and let her ride it for as long as she wanted to. If you want a better quality, it costs more. I personally prefer a small customer service oriented business. If you want to nickel and dime small business owners buy your bike from a garage sale; thats o.k too. It always helps to be very friendly from the beginning with any business owner. Works for me.

GREAT SERVICE, VERY FRIENDLY !!! My friend and I drove a van full of teenagers from Cleveland, OH for a tour on the Erie Canal Towpath Trail. The ride was to start at Tonawanda. We looked for a public facility to park our van during the four day stay but could not find anything along Rt 31. While inquiring about parking at Dick's, we decided to get some last minute accessories for our touring bikes, (I bought my 15 yr old daughter a Cateye, wired, $40.00 installed). While her Trek was on the rack, Richard noticed a seam separation on the rear tire and kindly pointed it out. In a non-assertive manner, Richard warned about the potential hazard of attempting a 200 mile tour with a tire in such condition. Of course one would point this out and offer to sell me a new tire, he is after all, running a business! What I appreciated was his calm non-aggressive demeanour. I never felt pushed. The Kevlar tire and Cateye were installed, in less than 20 minutes, the team even lubed the bike w/ Teflon lube. My buddy purchased a new helmet for his son. A young bike technician and Dick himself were very patient while they went through the lengthy trying on / asking questions stages. The staff was very knowledgeable of bikes and the trail. They supplied us with very useful information about the trek we were about to embark on and supplied us with maps. When made aware of our plight for parking, Richard insisted we park our van behind his store for the four days. We were offered to use the air hose located on the side of the building and fill our water bottles with ice cold water from the Igloo jug on the front porch. A young tech came out twice to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. I am very surprised and disappointed at the negative reviews I see here. Dick's showroom maintained at minimum a half dozen other customers while we were there and the staff still managed to take care of us in a timely, professional and friendly manner. We felt very fortunate to have stumbled in to Dick's bike shop before beginning our tour, we believe this encounter strongly contributed to the success of our trek along the canal. In my 30 years of bicycle touring, I have have been in many bike shops through out the U.S.A and abroad. Based on the selection, prices, service, atmosphere and quality of parts & gear, I will honestly rank Dick's as a five star. My advise, take the negative reviews with a grain of salt and visit the staff at Dick's to form your own opinion.

i purchased a Haro bike last year, and recently it was stolen. The staff was very helpfull in pulling up my order number and finding my serial number. Now we just have to wait for the Cheektowaga Police to find the kermudgeon that stole my bike unless i find them first. GREG.

I have heard terrible stories about the rude behavior of these shop owners. Yet with thirty miles left of my 400 mile tour, I broke a spoke. I was less than ten miles away from this Bicycle Shop* so I decided to cruise in for a spoke replacement and wheel truing. Even though they stock mostly toy bikes this job is rather easy stuff for a decent wheelman. After 5-10 minutes of being ignored by shopkeepers (doing nothing), I was asked what I needed. I was told that it would "take a long time and cost a lot of money". I decided not to jump on that offer and said "No thanks". The do-nothing crew berated and mocked me as I continued out their doors for the last time, simply ignoring the asinine and childish remarks. My guess is that they did not recognize the quality of my bike and they don't care for or know anything about bike touring. If you care about your bike keep it away from these buffoons.

Pros: open sunday

Cons: These are rude shiftless creeps that do not know about biking.

This is not a cheap place to buy bicycles, but you will get bicycles of high quality, built to last as in days gone by.

These are NOT cheapo Walmart bikes, these are built to last Schwinns, the good old-fashioned heavy duty built to last kind.

The gentleman who owns the shop also repairs bicycles at a fair price and does good work.

You can also purchase rollerblades as well as some other sports related equipment here.

Just a small place that does good work and has a good product.
