Will never go back and would NEVER recommend this salon to anyone . Went for color and cut and came out with my hair FRIED she left color on too long and then when she cut it ,its all uneven because she tried to cut out the damaged that

i had a very good haircut here. however i felt very misled. their website and the yellow pages stated it was $29 for a haircut. when i checked out they said it 35 and they've been meaning to switch it. this was a bout 6 mo's ago i just called again and they said they just raised it to$35. i picked this specifically for the $29. i do not like to feel misled! this bait and switch if you ask me and they ve lost a costumer.

Today was my first day @ Leon's I loved it they did my hair the way I wanted it the staff was outstanding, and they even have their own water bottled w/ their name on it..How COOL is that... I never care aboutf the price just get what I want , I was totally satisfied with my girl and now in Janurary I will be going back for a touch up and see maybe a brighter copper and blonde ..GREAT JOB

A barrier between the skin and hair MUST be used.Either good old vaseline, or cottonballs and a wrap. This should be a no brainer for any colorist - or those teaching them.
My son had a black/blue combo on his hair. Hestill has blue dye around his neck and forehead. She simply did not wipe it off,or do the accepted skin/hair barrier.Unfortunately, he is very fair skinned. Again, my point is that the girls must be taught standard practice when applying haircolor.

As an older client, I hate the music they play, but I have had terrific results before today. My hair was "brassy" and it now feels great, but is WAY TOO light. I will do a semi tomorrow so I can go to work.

I have been going to Leon's for several years and I am finding that I continually getting the same haircut time and time again.This must be very routine for the girls. I am beginning to feel that it's another supercuts but more expensive. It's time for me to find another salon

I have been trying to get an appointment for a cut and highlights with Rachel for over two weeks now. All appointments I have been offered (even tried other locations) are during my normal 8-5 workday. Leon's appointment system needs help. I call in the morning, afternoon etc. and they never have availibility for cut and color that isn't at 11:00 am. Sorry Leon but for those of us that work, your appointment system sucks.

I have been a loyal customer of Rachel at Leon Studio One for 3 years. I never had a bad experience until I went on 3/5/10. On 3/5/10 I had Rachel chemically straighten and cut my hair. I called Rachel on 3/12/10 because my hair was breaking off. She told me I was " shedding and that you shed once a year". My hair continued to break off in chunks. I went to the salon on 3/23/10 to talk with Rachel and ask her why this was happening and how I could stop it. I did bring my bag of hair with me to show her. She looked at my scalp and said " I have never seen this happen before are you in menapause or on new medications". I said no to both. She sent me on my way with some conditioners. I reported the salon to the BBB. Today is 3/30/10 and my hair is still breaking off. I no longer have thick hair. I will sadly be looking for a new salon.

i have received the best cut, color,and highlite i have ever had. my stylist brittney (sweethome loc) was kind, curtious and very accomadating. the professionalism of the stylist was 1st class. the new location is beautiful and very clean. everyone loves my hair and i have never received so many compliments about my hair as i have now. highly recommend this salon.

Made THREE apts for the same day; one at 10am, bumped me because they were too busy to do a color,. One at noon, bumped me again, didn't want to do color before lunch... finally said I would come back at 3pm because I wanted my hair colored for an event that evening and was desperate, they frakin bumped me AGAIN! They couldn't do it before close that evening! Mind you they had time to cut my brothers hair and my husbands hair in that time....

The girl I normally saw knew who I was because I tipped very well for her work...I will never return.

Been going to Leon's for a few years and NEVER a bad experience. I think one time I went on a Saturday when it was really busy and my visit may have taken a little longer (understandable!). The staff is always kind asking if I want a beverage or magazine. Highly recommended :)

I wonder if the spate of highly critical reviews were written by competitors. It is unlikely, in my estimation, that several people in a row were so outraged and disgusted and then one after the other found this site so they could blast the salon.

Curiouser and curiouser. I spoke to several friends who go here and they said they (like me) have never had to wait for service and that they (like me) have never heard anyone be rude or abusive.

I have recommended her to some of my very particular friends and they, too, have been very, very satisfied. I have never seen or heard a stylist be anything but polite and charming. Furthermore, I have literally never had to wait even five minutes. I don't know what these critics are talking about. This is an excellent salon.

eek--glad to see im not the only victim. as others have already noted, these people are just plain rude and i had to beg, argue, and plead to keep the stylist from cutting my long locks--he insisted that "short people should have short hair." next time it's Capello's ...where they treat you right.

I have been a loyal customer of Studio 2000 in East Amherst, but when its ownership changed, I decided to give Leon Studio One a try. I figured it was cheaper, so why not? I've never been able to get a decent cut at the discount places, anyway. Overall, Leon Studio One is not that great. I tend to like highly styled cuts, very pieced and edgy. On both occasions I had cuts at this location (Main and Reist), I had to ask the stylist to go back in multiple times and do MORE to the hair. They err on the side of boring, which is great if that's what you want. The second time I went in, the stylist was RUDE. I had some photos of what I wanted done to my hair, and she flat out told me she wouldn't do it, because my hair was not the right texture. I had to HAGGLE with her on my haircut-- you should never have to do that. All in all, the service is marginal. I'm getting a haircut today, and I'm going back to Studio 2000. It's worth the extra money, that place is phenomenal.

This was the worst experience I have had at a hair salon. The stylists were overbooked. My stylist was working another person and I at the same time. She had no time to cut my hair, I had to tell her what to do so she would forget (ie cut my bangs). She was so overworked, poor girl. Also, there were a lot of electrical problems. At one end of the salon, you couldn't run more than one hairdryer, hence they didn't hair dry my hair appropriately. I talked to management about it, and they said they couldn't fix it, it was a building problem. I will not go back to this salon.

Guess what?--The stylist, without my prior knowledge or approval, decided to go with a non-ashy shade and my hair ended up red and ugly. When I complained, I was told to never call or visit Leon's again. So, I've filed formal complaints with supervisory agencies and have requested that my bank NOT PAY them for services not rendered.

At one point, I asked if she could try to make my hair go in, instead of out at the ends (which other hair stylists have been able to do) and she said that the haircut wasn't the problem, it was my hair. I've been getting my hair cut there for 5 years, but I will never go again. I had such an awful experience. They need to change their attitude and their attention to their customers if they want loyal clients. I know 2 other people who have had this same experience.

I'm always nervous when getting my haircut because it always ends badly. Someone referred me to this place so I tried it out. They gave me a student discount, which is very helpful while in school. The girl who cut my hair was nice and took the time to make sure it was just how i wanted. I will go back here

All the stylist at this location really know what they are doing. They provide fresh and quality styles for both males and females. This place is also very reasonably priced, they even have student discounts for college students with a valid student id. If you are looking for a great haircut this is the place for you.

I got the best haircut I've ever gotten at this place. The stylist was sweet and talkative. She never pressured me to cut more off, some stylists love to cut. She gave me what I wanted and made it look great.
