Great drinks from the best bartenders in Brooklyn. Loki Lounge in Park Slope has it all. A nice atmosphere with good music and a friendly crowd.

Pros: Example: best croissants in town

Cons: What are the drawbacks?

.

Cool spot with DJ's that actually play records mostly old soul and funk. Old school Brooklyn bartenders that know how to pour a Guinness and mix a real drink. Not a hipster bar.

i just moved to park slope in January, and having scouted the bars in the neighborhood, I have found Loki to fit my tastes the best. I'm in my 30s and appreciate a bar where I can relate to the bartender and listen to good music. keep it coming.

Not sure what these other reviewers are talking about. I usually dont write these things but I wanted to chime in. I moved to park slope 8 years ago and this was one of the first places i checked out. The bartenders really made me feel welcome like I had a new home. A lot of those bartenders are still there.

Prices here are lower then most 5th ave bars, the drinks are better and the music is always great. Real brooklyn people in a cool neighborhood place. Perfect spot for a few after work drinks or to take a date and lounge in the back on a couch.

Don't like the atmosphere and service is not very good. didn't like the bartender at the time although i haven't been there in a while so not sure if he's still there. could be a good place if service was better.

My friend and I had a little birthday party here a couple years ago and it was all right. The couches are comfortable. The drinks were kind of a rip off but hey, I wasn't paying, because it was my birthday. Overall, it's not anything special but it was a convenient location and the atmosphere was pretty decent.

Slanted pool table, lots of cokeheads ruin a really nice LOOKING bar. The occasional brawl breaks out as well. Not for the normal drinker.

Pros: Nice couches

Cons: The people sitting in them

I like this place on the week days, because you can just chill. The drinks are reasonably priced, there's a dart board and a pool table, and a lounge area to just sit and talk. I mostly go for the bar sports, which can be pretty disappointing, unless you're hammered... because the pool table is slanted -- great for when you are as well, and the darts don't really stay together. But it can be fun, sort of. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, though. The women's room is probably my favorite part, which sounds really weird, but it always smells good. Definitely a rarity in bar bathrooms.

Pros: clean bathroom =)

Weekday happy hours from 3 to 7 pm means $3 draft pints with 12 to choose from and $2 bud or miller bottles. Civilized customers, dimly lighted bar for intimate conversations, comfortable couches in the back, pool table, TVs for sports-something for everyone, Mike the bartender is friendly and expert in getting you what you want. Great neighborhood bar. Not recommended for wild and crazy drinkers.

Cons: No food but who cares, you can bring your own

First of all, my friends and I went here to try and save some money this new years eve ,and we have been here before. However; the bartender needs to learn how to communicate with patrons. This guy told me I could not have a plastic cup of tap water unless I ordered a drink from the bar. I have never encountered this before and was completely shocked to here it. So I questioned him and he replied by yelling profanities at me. So hence why I am writing this message to all of you, please do not waste a dollar or your time on these types of people they ruin what Brooklyn is and what it stands for , so dont ever support this bar, the owners obviously dont know Brooklyn, so save your money for much better bars on 5th ave. in park slope. f*** the bartender and f*** this bar

Pros: warm place in the winter

Cons: service, everything else

Cheap beer ($3 for Coors Light Draft). Mood was a little dark but they had tv's with the sports packages and a pool table. Good place to go to in order to waste away a few hours.

It was a total yawn fest. I don't think it can be described as anything more than a glorified living room with a bar in the front and a jukebox. At the same time, it didn't even do relaxed all that well, either. VERY below average.

Pros: close to my place

Cons: dull people, dead on Saturday

easy to slip into...easy to start a conversation. A local place i hope sticks around. Darts, pool, and couches for embarrassing yourself in the back. I've done it and returned!!

This place is great for a weeknight or a weekend day. They have great big couches in the back and pool tables. Also on Sundays they show movies in the back. A park slope staple. Just avoid the super crowded Friday and Saturday nights.

The front door opens to a regular bar with a huge variety of alcohols. Past the bar is a jukebox, pool table and dart board. And beyond that...Couches!! Rather large for a New York City bar, Loki is laid back, cozy and chill. The pool table though usually dominated by expert players is open to anyone with quarters and the regulars are nice and fun to challenge. The dart board usually has less of line, and the couches are plentiful. Weekends are busier, of course, but the bar tenders are always nice and crowd is chill.

You walk in and it's like a regular bar. BUT KEEP WALKING. The back is set up like a Victorian palor and there's a fireplace. Great service and drinks. The atmosphere is very comfortable and casual. Could be intimate, could be for a large social setting. Recommended as a first date spot.

Loki has the coolest bartenders, the best pool table, a well-maintained dart board, and comfy couches for the slothful. The jukebox could use a face-lift, but if you like classic rock and jazz, you'd probably disagree.

Overall, Loki is the best bar in Park Slope, no contest.

Loki, what can I say? Great owners! Beautiful Bar! Great space! Regulars are great but the guests suck! Too much attitude! Neighbors who like the peace(no loud music)! A bit pricey($5 drafts in Brooklyn)! Sometimes $4 drinks, sometimes...

When I go drinking in Park Slope, I'm drinking in Park Slope because I want an easy simple night out with my friends. If I get there early enough, I can usually snag a couch big enough for my friends - but if you get there later - forget it! It gets so packed they have to cover the pool table to make room for more people to stand around.

The other annoying element about it is that it's filled with people in button down shirts. Blech - who wants to wear work clothes on the weekend?
