Really good soul food and west Indian food are serviced up at this restaurant. The corn bread is warm and served with pineapple butter. The candied yams are fresh and the jerk chicken is juicy with just the right amount of spice. The fried chicken is crunchy on the outside, yet moist. The portions are small, however. Better value for soul food is to be found at Charles' Southern Style Kitchen on West 155th St., which has an all you can eat buffet for the same price as an entree at this restaurant, and the fried chicken and yams are just as good.

PROS: tasty food, varied menu
