Hmmm....I don't know that I would trust any of the women who work at 775 Nails with anything other than a polish change. While I was getting polished, I noticed the lady to the side of me who was getting a fill. Yikes is all I can say! To say the girl who was doing the filing was rough is an understatement. The poor woman who's fingers were being mashed had a look of pain on her face. The polish change was okay - but would not go back for anything involving a sharp tool or file.

I live in the neighborhood and have been twice. My first experience was terrible--the manicurist was rushing, spent most of her time speaking to the other manicurists and not looking at my hands, was very abrupt and seemed intent on tearing as much skin as possible out from my fingertips. It was so bad I even decided to skip the pedicure. Enough time had passed since then that I decided to give it a second try. I stopped in on my way home to see how late they were open, and they said 7:30. I went back at 7 pm sharp and they were incredibly rude and kicked me out, telling me they were closed. When I asked why they'd told me 7:30 before, one of the women came up to 2 inches away from my face and yelled "we closed! get out now!" It was incredibly jarring, especially for a place that is supposed to be relaxing. I say STAY AWAY; there are PLENTY of other much better options to get your nails done in Chelsea....without the attitude!

Pros: convenient location

Cons: tiny space, overly-aggressive manicures, extremely rude staff, inconsistent hours
