I had the opportunity to visit Clueless last night, while Christmas shopping in Watertown. Please note that I am a young looking 42 year old gay man and this clue definitely caters to a younger crowd than I, but here are my observations. It is very evident that Billy is the force behind the success of this club. The other staff members are void of personality and very slow to warm to strangers. The patrons are a little clickish, but do warm up and were actually a fun crowd who encouraged me to out on the dance floor with them. The music is great and the atmosphere for a small local gay bar is quaint with fireplaces at both ends. The prices were fair to market and I was extremely impressed with the thoroughness of age checks at the door. Certainly this is their bread and butter as they charge minors an admittance fee - I believe I overheard $10. The service is quick and the bartenders seem well prepared to create the odd ball drinks. The crowd was a mix of Fort Drum soldiers and locals or students visiting home away from college for the weekend. There happened to be three Fort Drum soldier boys who claimed to be straight and they provided much entertainment with table dances for our gay boys throughout. It appeared our soldiers were very comfortable with the setting. My only other negative take away was the frequency of patrons running to the outside patio to smoke or the staff going to the front door and smoking at the entrance. It was cold outside that they kept the door open which easily made its way to the front of the bar. I don't know if I would personally go there again, but my recommendations for others would be to go with friends, show up after 10:00pm and dress warm.

The only gaybar in the watetown area that caters to the 18 - 30 something crowd. Slightly mixed so straight people are no problem being there music is all dance and on the loud side. No food drinks are market price t a little hifgh.

I've heard some crazy stories about this place and never really checked it out. One night my friends and I were feeling like something different so we went to check the place out and people were running in and out of the place like crazy people. Crazy in not a good way. I won't go back.
