Thank you so much for a beautiful job on our house. The work you all did to get us on our feet again after the Labor Day '98 storm made it (almost) worthwhile. All your help and customer service was greatly appreciated. Thank you for attention to detail and great results

After moving from the Boston area 2 years ago, my husband and I wanted to add a porch and pool area to our new home. Because we were new to the area, we asked several neighbors and friends as to whom we should contact for this. The one name that kept coming up was Dimon Construction. Ron's design was even better than we had envisioned ourselves. We were so pleased with the entire process that we went to Ron with a second project. So, thanks Ron and all of the Dimon Construction staff and crew for a job well done. We look forward to working with you again!

We wanted to thank you for the beautiful work the various craftsmen from your company have done on out dream kitchen! We love the results! As we saw with our porch reconstruction & now our kitchen, the work done by Dimon is nothing but top quality. Whatever our next project is, rest assured you'll be the one and only company we will call upon.

I am taking the time to write this on behalf of both my wife and myself to express our complete satisfaction with the quality of the work and the end result regarding the recently completed front porch on our home. I wanted to particularly commend Dale??s careful and thoughtful methods which resulted in a fine work product.

Paul & Jeff of Dimon Construction did a great job. The craftsmanship, attention to detail... all terrific. I appreciated their help coordinating everything - and finding exactly the counter I was looking for. I can't say enough about how much I like my laundry room, closet organizers, new bath vent/toilet and perfectly painted walls. Really nice people to work with, I enjoyed doing business with Dimon Construction!

The shower faucet replacement went beautifully. When Kevin finished, you couldn??t tell the hall wall had ever been disturbed to gain access. The old valve assembly must have been somewhat clogged because it now delivers more volume - an unexpected bonus. I recommend Dimon Construction without hesitation.

The Dimon team just finished renovating our master bathroom and they were great. The staff were professional, neat, on-time and on-the-job until it was done. They worked with us planning and preparing for the renovations, and even through changes as the project developed. The bathroom looks great and we couldn't be more pleased.

I posted a review just about a year ago itemizing all of the trouble we had with this company. In that review, I always stated that I thought the workmanship of the company was good, but that the customer service was poor. 12 months later - I still agree that the customer service is poor, but now I am begining to question the quality of the workmanship as well.

During our kitchen remodeling project in 2007, Dimon Construction mistakenly threw out two screens for our windows. When we had our final walk through inspection they were made aware of this, and they said that they would order two new screens. In Ron Dimon's words - "we will make sure you have them by spring when you would want to have the windows open".

In March or April of this year, someone from Dimon called and asked to come over to measure for the screens. When that employee was at our house, we also provided them a list of (mostly minor) issues that had popped up over the past six months, such as:

A) Some of the molding on the kitchen cabinets had fallen off.

B) One of the kitchen cabinets would not open (the door had "settled" and could not pass top of the the refridgerator).

C) One of the crank handles on one of the new windows was not working.

D) The caulking around one of the new windows seemed to be peeling away.

E) There was a big crack in our new kitchen ceiling.

F) The granite countertop had pulled away from the wall and left a large gap between the countertop and the wall.

Most of these items seemed very easy to fix, and all should have been part of the "Dimon Warranty".

The person at our house measuring the windows did glue the molding back on referenced in "A" above, and he did adjust the cabinet door in "B" above. He said that he would look at the other items when he came back with the new screens in 2-3 weeks. This was back in March or April of 2008.

In April or May, after not hearing from Dimon, we called the office about the countertop. They said they would send over their sub contractor to fix it. The sub contractor did come over, and used left over grout from the tile floor to repair the countertop/backsplash grout - which was a different color. We assumed someone from Dimon would be over to inspect the job - but of course they did not. We now have a good 10-12 inches of grout on our backsplash that does not match the rest of the grout.

Approximately a month after the measurements for the screens were taken, we inquired as to the delay. We were told that they were on their way - but that they had to confirm what color screen we wanted. How could they be on their way if they never ordered a particular color?

A week or so later I received an e-mail from Dimon asking if I could measure the windows again for them. I politely replied that I did not want to make a mistake, and that if they lost the original measurements, or had any other questions, they should send someone out to double check their measurements. I didn not mention the fact that a week earlier I was told the screens had already been ordered - this was obviously not true.

Over the past six months we have not had any additional contact with Dimon Construction. The molding they glued back on has fallen off again, when they fixed the cabinet door that wouldn't open they did something to our refridgerator, so everytime we open the fridge door the unit pulls out from the wall (perhaps the sticky cabinet was holding it in place). One of the brand new windows we still cannot open because the crank handle does not work, and we still have a crack in our new kitchen ceiling.

I really bothers me that after paying $200,000 to this company, it appears as if their warranty is worthless - and we still have no screens.

I would like to think that our situation was an isolated incident - but I doubt that this is the case. I do not think we would ever be able to trust this company again, and I would be very hesitant to recommend

We are just now finishing a project with Dimon Contruction 11-2007. I am not sure where to begin.

The project was supposed to be completed in August 2007, so we are three months overdue.

The bulk of the project came out great, but there were certain aspects that were terrible.

1) They replaced a single casement window - at a cost of $2,000!! , but the new window does not match the original window it is placed next to. The new window is smaller in size. Not by a ton, but it is definitely noticeable. This is the second time they replaced this window. The first window was off by about 8 inches. The owner of the company promised us in July he would order a window that fit, and now this second window is off by about 4 inches. The owner is saying "this is the best he could do", and his solution was to hang curtains over the window or put a shelf up next to it so we would not notice it. For two grand the window should have been perfect. My wife is going nuts.

2) The owner was great during the "courtship" process, but once we signed the contract, he was hardly ever available, would not return phone calls etc.

3) I just found out today that he has not paid one of the sub-contractors that worked on the house in the summer. He told the sub contractor (electrical and plumbing) that we made changes to the project, so we owe them the additional money. We did make about $1,000 of changes, but Dimon Contruction under-estimated the project by another $2,500. This was not our fault, and now that Dimon will not pay their sub-contractor, the sub-contractor is threatening to put a lien on our house.

4) Once our kitchen was 99% done and we were moved back in, I noticed that our phone did not work in the kitchen. I went into the basement, and the phone line is not hooked up. I contacted Dimon, and they told me that I had to call the phone company to make the connection, and that I would be responsible for whatever the phone company charged. This really made me mad. We had a working phone in the kitchen before Dimon started the project, and now we do not, and they want us to pay extra to "re-connect" something they "unconnected".

5) Although their workers were great 90% of the time, at some point during the project they threw away two screens for existing windows in the house. They had removed the screens to do some painting, and somehow the screens ended up in the dumpster. We notified them of this in August - and three months later we do not have our replacement screens.

6) They never consulted us about the type of windows they were ordering for the kitchen. All of our kitchen trim is beige, and they ordered cheap looking white vinyl clad windows. We brought this to their attention, and they were kind enough to order wood pieces for the windows, but it took a long time. One of their own workers even commented that the owner probably ordered the vinyl clad windows so he would not have to pay them to paint the wood windows.

7) The painting is a whole other issue. One of their painters (Wally) was great. To save some money though, the owner had another person painting as well. The second guy was very nice, but his primary job function was to haul trash away from the job sites - not paint. The second guy had drips and marks all over the place that Wally had to keep coming back to fix.

I agree with the other reviewers in that I was happy with the overall quality of their work, but I was extremely disapointed with their customer service and business ethics. Some of the same measurement errors the other reviewers have referenced happened with us as well.

I am business owner as well, and I understand that mistakes can happen, but what separates the good companies from the bad companies is how they address those errors.
