I contacted Forest Value after being a customer there before. I asked if they had a book in for school, believing that this was the required book to read. The man offered to order more in, and I happily accepted. Three days later, on the same day that they called me to come and pick it up, I got a letter that I was to read a different book for school. I proceeded to call, thank them for helping me with the previous book, and ask them if they had in the new one. The reply was from a rude woman saying, "I don't want to order it for you because you won't pick it up just like the other one." Don't worry, now I won't be buying from you any time soon.

1. Do not tell me what I will and won't do. You don't know me. It was a simple mistake by an overeager student. Even if I am the most indecisive person and I change my mind about the book I want 10, 25, 50 times, I am still the customer and I am always right.
2. You really have a lovely, charming disposition to speak to anyone in that way, let alone a customer who is purchasing from your bookstore. Wonderful.
3. Being that there are about 50 other students who are going to need to buy that book, I did you a favor by calling at all. You willingly asked to order more in, and you will need those books. I helped you out.
4. Your superior and condescending attitude has no justification - though I've bought from your bookstore several times in the past, every time I've called you haven't had my book in and I've had to wait, and your books are overpriced. Fix your service before you start acting like you're so much better than me - once again, I am your customer.

They are very welcoming and very accommodating. If they don't have a book they will order it for you and contact you when it comes in. May not have full series BUT as I stated they will be more then happy to get it for you.

When I first entered the premises and began perusing through the seemingly endless aisles of books, I knew this quaint little book shop would be one I would visit for a long time to come. The selection of books is very impressive for the size of the establishment, and they can even place special orders on books they don't have. I found the staff to be very helpful in locating and even recommending books to me. It is a great place to just visit and hang out, and even meet new people. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

This is a quaint little bookstore located in the outskirts of Glen Cove. Its very calm, small, and they have most of the mainstream books you might be looking for. Their prices are competitive, and I like it as its a nice little alternative to the mainstream stores like Barnes and Noble. They have a pretty decent discount section too, if you are looking for a nice coffee table book, or maybe a cheap novel to read. Not a bad store to compete with the major booksellers in the area!

PROS: Quaint, have a lot of titles
CONS: Small
